Adalat High Blood Pressure, Gums, Dentist, Medication, Bp

I have been on this medication for several years for high blood pressure. Only side effect has been some swelling of the gums with gum over growth in only in a few areas. This is corrected by the dentist i.e. cut away...
Paiton - did you have to stop taking adalat when you had to have freezing for surgery on your gums? are you still taking adalat or are you off bp meds altogether now? if you are please tell me how you did get off them? thank you
