Extreme Fatigue With Adderall

Some days it works OK (20mg xr + 20 mg ir), but there are days where I can't keep my eyes open about an hour or two after taking it. I have no energy, no motivation and I have to sleep. But like I said, there are some days where it works great. Anyone else have similar experience? Is this normal? I don't see my Dr for a few weeks, so I guess I'll just wait it out.
Enigma0526 - Maybe try switching around the times you take them? I found that I have to take the IR (12.5 mg) in the morning, and the 25mg XR later in the afternoon, instead of the other way around. Taking the XR in the morning does not work for me. So I am back to the IR in a.m. and XR in p.m.
Do you experience the tiredness after both IR and XR? If it's just the IR, it could be that you are metabolizing it too quickly and it is wearing off too fast. Also, fruit juices or citric acids can increase the amount of stomach acid, which in turn breaks down medications much quicker. Likewise, antacids (like TUMS, etc) decrease stomach acid, allowing your body to absorb a much higher dose. If you are taking the meds within an hour before or after drinking or eating anything with a high citric acid content, this could be part of the reason.
