I'm so glad I found this site. When I called Walgreen's pharmacy to check whether fever over 100 degrees was a side effect of Bactrim, the pharmacist said "no" and said "take another dose." The fever had stopped after the 12 hours was up with the first dose. Promptly after taking the second dose, the fever, chills, severe headache began again and lasted the full 12 hours. I stopped taking the Bactrim after the second dose and no longer have a fever, although I still feel rather shaky and not quite normal. However, I do not have the flu or a cold or anything else that might give me a fever. I no longer have the fever after stopping Bactrim. I called Walgreens and asked to speak to the pharmacist to report the side effects. She said she would inform her supervisor. I asked for a number for the Food & Drug Administration to report what I consider severe side-effects. She did not have a number. How can consumers report these severe side effects to protect other individuals? I certainly did not feel like Walgreen was very concerned.
