Bactrim Painful Muscle Spasms, Bactrim Ds, Leg Pain, Cipro, Old Woman

I am a 68 year old woman diagnosed with a UTI and prescribed Bactrim DS. Now, I have taken
sulphur drugs many times over the years, even Bactrim, but this time I developed severe side
effects, nausea, very painful muscle spasms and leg pain, sores in my mouth and on my tongue.
After 5 days it finally dawned on me that my misery had to be the medicine. I quit taking it,
called my Doctor and started on Cipro 2 days later, most of the side effects have abated but
the sores in my mouth are still bothering me. I guess you can become allergic at any age.
I'll never take it again. ( Oh, yes, I found myself crying while I was taking this stuff and I am
definitely NOT a crier, who knew? Crazy!)
