My Dr. Says Benicar Is Agood Medcation for Me to Be on

i have been taking Benicar for a couple of years now to control my blood pressure it scares me some to learn the side effects of this medication it makes me want to go back to my doctor to ask to be put on a different medication what is out there as far as a medication that has better input and more research.
