Shoulder Pain and Boniva

I have just taken my 4th dose of Boniva and every time, 1-2 days later I have pain and weakness in my shoulder lasting 2-3 days. I have had problems with this shoulder before, but it does not hurt all the time. I don't understand what causes this and am concerned about causing permanent damage to the shoulder joint. Any answers to this?
