Treating a Headache While on Coumadin

I have been on coumadin for about a month now. I have DVT and multiple pulmonary emboli. I get headaches from time to time and take nothing for them because I am afraid that it may create a problem with the coumadin. What can I do about headaches?

Acetaminophen (Tylenol) would be your best option for occational headache management. You should try avoiding NSAIDS (ie: ibuprofen, naproxen) due to increased bleeding risk with these meds.___________ D.
