I'm a 37 y/o male. I'm seeing an allergist for hives. He put me on Singulair and we began injections. I started getting red, itchy dots on my hands and feet. He decided it was Dyshidrosis Eczema (aka hives). Then they began to appear on my arms and legs, then on my torso. I spent a day in the sun and my entire body was covered in welts. The red dots are climbing up my neck and will probably be on my face by next week. I have been off of Singulair for an entire week and I believe the rash is getting better, but I hope it happens quickly. It appears that any where the skin is rubbed, the hives appear. At night my waistline and the area covered by my underwear is completely covered in red, itchy welts. I'm okay in the morning, but as the day proceeds the hives become worse and worse. By nightfall I'm scratching myself raw and bleeding.

Just wanted top let you know that you always must check the ingredients before you take any medicine, you will be chocked when you see what some of the ingredients is. I also have a UTI and i quit taken the drug after one pill after being extremely sick. I cured myself with lots of water and lemon and also took cranberry.

As someone who never experiences headaches, I am compelled to write this complaint regarding Flovent HFA. It is the 3rd day and I have what I now realize is a migraine, with the nausea and dizziness that may come with a migraine. This is something I have never before experienced. In addition, yesterday I was going around all day just not feeling myself - irritability, confusion. I attribute all these to this medication. I am OFF OF IT IMMEDIATELY!

I've had my mirena since April, 2008. Mainly, I have noticed weight gain. I put on 20 lbs in 2 months, shortly after getting the IUD. I haven't gained anymore weight at all over the past 2 years, but I haven't been able to lose any either. My face has always been a struggle to keep clear, but the past couple years, my skin has been awful. Not acne, but swollen pores. Nothing I use helps. I have some minor diiscomfort in my abdomen sometimes, but lots and lots of bloating. Which really bothers me. I can eat something small and I feel like I pigged out. I mean, eat half an apple, and the bloating is so bad that it hurts. That is the big thing that concerns me. I've weiighed my options, though, and even though I'd like to lose this extra weight and have my skin back to normal and be able to eat again without it hurting, right now, I think I'll take the side effects over getting pregnant again. I haven't had any kind of mood swings, and my sex drive hasn't suffered at all. In fact, I think its gotten stronger. I've read many posts on this thread and I believe that doctors do need to better inform people of possible side effects. The only thing my doc told me was about the mirena possibly perferating through my uterus. Nothing about weight gain. She actually told me that people don't gain weight on it because of the low dose of hormones. If you're having trouble with your IUD, maybe do a pros and cons list before deciding what to do. I have 3 years left before I take mine out. So long as my symptoms don't get worse, I'm gonna stick it out. Its either that or get my tubes tied. Good luck to you all! I hope you can return to normal once your IUD is removed. Those that do remove them, please keep updating! I'd like to see your experiences and symptoms once its out.

March 21 2010 9:26 am I have taken Avelox several times in the past for sinus infections, having had no side effects. About 3 weeks ago, my ENT prescribed Avelox again for the same condition. All was well for about the first 3 days. Then as I was watching television on the evening of the third day, I noticed a twitching in my lower legs. This was very much like the resless leg syndrome (RLS( that I have had in the past. The last few years, there has been no evidence of RLS. After I went to bed that night, the leg twitching stopped. Howevr, I awoke several times during the night (about every hour), unable to breathe, even using my CPAP machine. I went online and found this web site. Almost all of the letters above could have been about my experience. After the doctot's office opened the next day, I called snf gave them my symptoms. The nurse asked if I wanted a prescription for a different anti-biotic. I said yes, so I was immediately put on Augmentin, which I am tolerating very well. I will never rake Avelox again. My main concern is that the doctors aren't keeping up with the literature concerning these medications. If sos,why not?
