I am 36 and have 2 children for starters. I had the mirena inserted on May 10, 2010 and had mild cramping afterwards. I have also had some of the less severe side effects such as cramping and spotting. About 3 weeks ago I began to feel the emotional side effects. I have been nervous and anxious. I am experiencing panic attacks and mood swings as well as depression. I have not be able to sleep through the night in weeks. As many women have stated I feel as if I'm going crazy and have become a person I do not even recognize.* After speaking with my ob/gyn she said she has not heard of this happening in any other women and is there anything going on in my life that would trigger this. There are circumstances out of the norm occurring right now, but nothing the "old me" wouldn't have been able to handle. She has suggested waiting it out a few more weeks to see if I level out... has anyone attempted to wait it out? Did it get better? * I have experienced this emotional roller coaster one other time in my life and it was 6 years ago during my first 5 months of pregnancy.

I started taking Loestrin 24 about 3 months ago and had horrible breakouts the first three weeks (I think it was just my body adjusting to having hormones as I had not been on BCP before) but after that have experienced nothing but what I would consider good side effects. I haven't gained much weight with the exception of the increase in cup size...went from a full D to a DD and my periods that were at least seven to ten days of pain before are barely spotting for a few days, 2-3. I haven't been on it for long but from what I've experienced I like it.

I have sever headaches everyday! I have also gained weight, and it just won't come off no matter what I do. The "break through" bleeding is awful and my sex drive is so low as to be nonexcistant. I have high blood pressure, and am on meds for that, and have been worried the headaches were being caused by that. I am going crazy with the mood swings and am having diarrhea atleast 3 times a week. I have been having heart palpatations and depression so I was put on meds for that(which is also contraindicated for high blood pressure). All so I don't have to have the heavy 7 -9 day periods...So no Worth It!!

This site is certainly an eye opener! I’ve been on Lisinopril for two months and feel worse than I’ve felt in years—and believe me, that is no small thing! In the past twelve years I’ve had ten surgeries, including both rotator cuffs, four back surgeries, four hip surgeries. I’ve also had eight shoulder dislocations and seven hip dislocations as well as a MERSA and pneumonia…and at no time did I feel as tired and listless as I have since I started taking Lisinopril. The dry, hacking cough is embarrassing as well as painful; when I hack and cough my way into a room, others find reasons to leave! Breathing in Florida in the summertime is a chore in itself. Take Lisinopril on top of that and you find yourself stopping to gasp for air every few steps. I’ve been afraid to make plans with friends and family because I don’t know if I’ll have the energy to get up that morning, let alone actually go somewhere or do something. All the joints and parts that have been replaced and repaired have decided to ache at the same time. My feet swell enough that my shoes don’t fit by afternoon. And brain fog? I had to write the symptoms down when I thought about them because I knew I would never remember them all when I got to the dr’s office. Of course, she took one look at my meds list and one listen to my cough and immediately knew what the problem was. So I quit taking the pills. This is day three without the Lisinopril and I’m still coughing, aching, loafing, and swelling. The dr. said it might take four or five days to work out of my system. If it doesn’t, what’s next???

I have been taking Singulair for about three to four months, and for the past three weeks have experienced severe leg cramping day and night. The pain has been so severe that it persists even after the cramp has passed. I stopped taking Singulair two days ago, and have had only one cramp since that time. It is listed at the bottom of side effects on the list for Singulair side effects. I will not take it again as these were the worst possible cramps I have ever experienced.
