Ziagen (abacavir sulfate) Tablets Combivir (lamivudine and zidovudine) Tablets

GlaxoSmithKline and FDA informed healthcare professionals of an apparent third-party tampering that resulted in the misbranding of Ziagen as Combivir and employed counterfeit labels for Combivir Tablets. Both medications are used as part of combination regimens to treat HIV+ infection. Two 60-count misbranded bottles of Combivir Tablets contained 300 mg tablets of Ziagen. The counterfeit labels identified are Lot No. 6ZP9760 with expiration dates of April 2010 and April 2009. The incident appears to be isolated and limited in scope to one pharmacy in California. Pharmacists should immediately examine the contents of each bottle of Combivir in their pharmacy to confirm that the bottles contain the correct medication. The Dear Pharmacy Professional Letter contains photos of actual Combivir and Ziagen Tablets. If a bottle contains anything other than Combivir Tablets, pharmacists should notify the manufacturer.

This is the 2nd time I have gotten the IUD and I am totally convinced that Mirena is causing all of my side effects. I got the IUD the first time 3 years ago and right after, I broke out with acne and BV. I didn't think of anything and was like I guess that's common because my body is probably rejecting it first. A few weeks later I got my period and it didn't go away for 3 month straight. I called my doctor and he was like it's normal and that I should hang in there. My weight went up by an extra 20lbs and I can't even describe the heavy cramping which I had. I hung in there for 6 month and just couldn't take it anymore so I had it taken out. My body went shortly after back to normal with no complaints for several years. Last year my gyno suggested that I should get the IUD and I was like there is no way I would get it again and he was like your prior doctor must have not placed it in right so he sure enough convinced me that I should try again. Ok, so here I am with the same symptoms again and this time a little worse. I developed a intense itching and burning and whenever that happens my whole vagina and the side of my right leg swells up. I can't even describe the crazy hives. This has been going for about 7 month now and all the doctors I have seen can't explain what it causes... Since I don't have health insurance, I decided I am going tomorrow to Planned Parenthoot to have it taken out because I don't know what else to do. Its 3am here and I am sitting here with severe burning, itching, and swelling again. I just went to a clinic last week and the doctor there prescribed me with antibiotics and nothing has gotten better.

Thank God I found this site! I have tried every homeopathic supplement available in the health food store, trying to grow my hair back. I have developed terrible dust allergies, and a continuous dry cough. I have experienced constant anxiety; I have trouble gathering my thoughts. I have experienced heart palpitations; I have trouble catching my breath on occasion. I wake up in the middle of the night with leg cramps. I did not know what was happening to me. I just finished reading an article on WebMD about hair loss, where they indicated that high blood pressure medication may contribute to hair loss, so here I am. Thanks and God bless each and every one of you for sharing your experiences. I am going to forward this link to my doctor and demand that she take me off of this horrid medication as soon as possible. I plan to treat my blood pressure with supplements, exercise and weight loss.

I LOVE Aviane. I have had NO side effects at all. It is the first, and last birth control I tired. I was scared because I heard all of the awful side effects birth control can have. However, this has been perfect. I am very grateful that it worked out so well :)

Hi Everyone! I am really happy that I found these post. I was starting to feel like I was the only person dealing with these horrible prednisone effects! I have been on prednisone for about 7 months now, and I have hated every minute. I started with 80mg and have been down to 40mg for 5 months. I am usually a somewhat thin person, but have gained over 20 pounds all in my upper body. I really look like my about 9 months pregnant! My moon face is so bad that it looks like my face is about to bust, and I have a huge hump on the back of my neck. Recently my teeth have become very sensitive to cold things and I'm having extreme pain in my knees. I also have alot of swelling in my feet and hands almost daily. I am a college student and I find it very had to concentrate, my normally good grades are horrible! This medication is HORRIBLE and I hope to be off it soon.
