I've been sitting behind the screen of my laptop reading the horrid experiences of individuals while taking doxy just to get through this extreme physical and mental feeling of complete terror....I was prescribed doxy by a young doctor at an emergency room for an infection and by the fourth dose of this poison I was in psychological agony....between now and then ive done hours of research and "Anxiety" is now *unofficialy* listed in many databases and websites as side effect 2 in 100 people experience while be treated with doxy. but rarely are pharmacists,doctors,nurses, ect. actually aware of it. the doctor who choose doxy to treat me to take in to consideration whether or not doxy would negatively effect my mental health. i already have psychiatric issues including a severe form anxiety and bi-polar disorder which doesnt really help the intensity of my situation right now even though i have them both treated and undercontrol....anyways Like i said i've taken 4 doses & i've now been off it for 24 hours and the anxiety doesn't seem to have changed from my last dose. if there's anyone who is interested in filing a class action lawsuit email me - rileyfjenkins@aim.com ............. also if anyone has any helpful information on whether or not i'm eligible for suing the doctor who prescribed doxy to me considering it was such an irresponsible decision and ALSO if a lawsuit has ever been filed or is in the process i encourage you to share your info.!!!

Lornno - i experience this horror and could not work for 5 days because of doxycycline? it made me suicidal!!!!!!!!! i wanna sue how do i???

Kylie_dawn - I'm pretty sure that you would not be successful filling a law suit against them, then again it all kinda depends. I don't think I would personally take the chance in investing that time and money considering the huge possibility that you may not win. The doctor did not force you to take them, it was your choice. When you got your prescription filled you would have been givin information about the possible side effects. If you experienced side effects that were not listed in the information provided, you may have a case. But then again you have to be careful because of your prior mental state, they would definitely use that in there defense and therefore the cards are significantly stacked against you, not to mention the fact that the hospital would have significantly better lawyers. I feel your pain because I have experienced some unusual side effects as well. I personally think you should really do your research, see if any similar suits have been filed previously and use that as a benchmark. You can always consult a lawyer, but like I said DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST. This is not something that you want to jump into blindly. Also I would be very careful of others who try to jump on the band wagon with you. Take care!

Mitzie1217 - I have also had bad experience from taking doxy I became extremely depressed and suicidal.and nowhere listed in the side effects did it mention anything bout those kind of side effects.

Dameinsmom - My 13 year old son commited suicide after taking Doxycycline for ayear for acne. Please read his story and sign our petition against the FDA and Watson to include these warnings as a possible side effect. go to CHANGE.ORG and search doxycycline Thank you

Shambo - I took doxy for 14 days for lymes and on day 6 I disconnected from reality. I am a 23 year old, 210 lb power lifter so I require at least 2 to 3k calories a day. I've been off of it for 8 days and have had no Appetite. And when I do eat the food leaves my body considerably fast. I consume about 600 calories a day now. How long will this last? I've been depressed, fatigued, working out puts me in a catabolic state. I feel like I have cancer or am dying of a debilitating disease. My girlfriend is out of town and I feel mentally Ill. Is it me or am I not consuming enough carbs? I'm lost and confused. Any help is appreciated and god bless.

Fuse - All I know is that this drug ruined my whole last year... I took doxy for 21 days.. And At the end of the cycle, I was suffering from severe anxiety, irregular heart beat, tinnitus, chest pain, grey tongue, vision changes, racing heart, joint pain, muscle twitching, dry mouth and chronic fatigue syndrome. After a few visits to the ER for a month, doctors did not believe me that I was poisoned so i gave up on them. I still did my best to go to my job and do regular things but even that was very tough. Now I am a year out.. I still got a bit of fatigue left... My joint and tendons are still inflamed and hurting. My teeth are stained yellow which i dont know why. The worst is over but I still can't walk long distances and am still waiting to be 100 procent normal. Hope you all the best. Usman
