prescribed to help sleep takes a long time to work and when I wake up I feel very sluggish and do not want to get out of bed it is very expensive too $4.00 each pill and this is the generic one called zaleplon gee wizz I have a cannabis recommendation and cannabis works great but I do not like smoke or vaporizer or I would use it, it is same price range .

I think this works best for me of all the others I've tried. Most longer acting sleep aids, make groggy or I can't get out of bed...Sonata has a very short acting period of 4 hours. So if I toss and turn for hours I can still get up and take it because I have enough time. It's definitely saved me from a lot of sleep deprived misery and I am thankful for that. I did experience some memory loss problems, usually because I didn't go straight to bed and lay down. This pill hit me in 5 minutes once....unbelievable. I've never been ab le to fall asleep in under an hour.

I feel like someone else is in the room and I have to wait a while before an erection will come. If I've been nauseous though this seems to subside. But makes my mouth cotteny. Doesn't knock me out the way a high dose of Benadryl would.

zaleplon - A nonbenzodiazepine from the pyrazolopyrimidine class with hypnotic, sedative, anxiolytic, and muscle relaxant properties. Zaleplon interacts with the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) -A receptor, thereby affecting the chloride channel ionophore complex and potentiating the inhibitory effects of GABA. In addition, zaleplon binds selectively to the brain omega-1 receptor situated on the alpha subunit of the GABA-A/chloride ion channel receptor complex and potentiates t-butyl-bicyclophosphorothionate (TBPS) binding.
