My 17 year old had her second gardasil shot about two weeks ago. Since then she has been extremely tired and nauseated. Her period started three weeks early even though she is on Yaz to regulate her periods. She has missed so much of her senior year she is afraid she will have to repeat it.

Just food for thought, with any hormone that you take into your body you will have side effects and it will change your body. Not just Yaz, but all birth control. There are blood clot and stroke risks with all of it if you look up other brands. Best bet to not suffer is to not take any

Hey, 17 year old child.... That is an extremely rude post. These people are looking for help from some serious side effects. Just because you are not getting the side effects doesn't mean they don't occur. And it certainly doesn't mean the people talking about them are "old, fat, smokers, or crankly lil" as you say. God help you if you ever experience any negative side effects from any medicine. It's fine to post that you are not having side effects, but there is no need to put other people down. I hope you can grow up soon and realize how in-sensitive you are.

My 17 year old college bound 5'11 volleyball playing daughter recieved an intravertebral injection of kenalog 40, 3 1/2 weeks ago. That night she began intense headaches . Within 1 week her menstral cycle was off, spotting. Vomitting started 1 week following also. She now suffrs with intense migrane headaches(light sensitive), followed by vomitting on a daily basis. Her life has been turned upside down.

My 17 year old daughter started taking Asmanex about two months ago and we are wondering if the very unusual activity she's experienced with her menstrual cycle this month might be related to the drug. With a few days respite scattered here and there, she's basically had a period that has lasted all of the month of November. In spite of the fact that we are aware that some irregularity is to be expected in teens, especially when they are under stress, this development is quite unusual for her. Anyone else experienced this with Asmanex?

Both my daughter and I were on singulair for asthma. I, for three years and my daughter for about 4 months. For the past few months, my 17 year old daughter has been complaining that she is having trouble conentrating in school and has been VERY irritable. She said she feels jittery or squirmy in class which was never a problem before. Because she started the singuair during summer break, she didn't notice the effects. After talking with her doctor, we traced the onslaught of these side effects to when she started the singulair.....I found this site and was amazed!

I have had horrible insomnia, hair loss, hive-like rashes on my face and serious memory and mind problems which have gotten exceedingly worse over the last year.....I would have never associated any of it to the singulair, but have stopped taking it and will see if these symptoms go away.

I've been on it for about 4 months. It does seem to help but I've had problems with steriods (prednisone) taken as a result of colitis.
In the case of Advair I get the hoarse voice and sleeplessness.
I'm also concerned about the long term use of this drug on my lungs. It is a steroid. I have diffuctly in breathing, especially taking a deep breath.
Does anyone know of any studies on how safe Advair is for your lungs or the rest of your body.We have had very bad experiences with Steroids.

my 17 year old son needed a hip replacement as a result of steroids (not Advair) this summer.
BEWARE OF STEROIDS.
lets find out about Advair.
Does it have any adverse steroid Affects??
please let me know.

Thank you

My 17 year old daughter has been taking Dynacin for almost a year now. While it has done an incredible job of clearing up her acne (from severe to almost non-existant), she has gained weight (particularly around the waist) and feels the Dynacin may be the cause. She seems to have a bigger appetite. Has anyone else experienced this?

17 year old female. I was diagnosed w/ thyroid cancer when I was 8 and had my entire thyroid and several tumors removed a month after the diagnosis. I've been on Levoxyl for about 7 years. I often experience chest pain, nausea, abdominal pain, and depression. I want to take myself off the medication, because I recently went 3 weeks w/o taking it and the depression went away. Only problem is when I stop taking the medication for more then a month I start to feel really sick, paranoid, and I'm unable to concentrate. I've asked my mom if we could look into an alternative medication, but she believes my doctors when they say that my depression, chest pain, nausea, and abdominal pain are not at all related to my taking Levoxyl.

Hello, I am a 17 year old girl and I started Zoloft a year or so ago. Overall, it seems to work okay, although it does increase my appetite :( and when I haven't taken it for several days, I get electric shock sensations up and down my shoulders, arms, and back. I was also prescribed Wellbutrin several months ago because I still wasn't very motivated while on Zoloft alone, and this combination is working fine for me right now.

I am 17 and have been on prednisone for a little a month and a half. The thing I want to inform people about is that, for some people, it takes a little while for the side effects to become unbearable. Some people tell me, "I was on prednisone for a week, and I had no problems!" Well, the real effects don't really start taking place until about 3 weeks after you start taking it. It is only recently that I have really had problems. I've had dramaticly increased hair growth (especially on my face and arms)(a nightmare for a 17 year old girl!), I've only gained about 5 pounds, but my waist size has increased about 10%, puffy cheeks, face rashes, severe acne, horrible mood swings, occasional feelings of severe antisocialness(I'm normally a VERY social person) and mild sorrow/self pity attacks. If anybody wants to talk, my e-mail is ****** . Feel free to e-mail me, I'd be happy to pray for anyone.
God bless,
Lizz

I find that my 17 year old daughter is depressed lately. Could the medicine have that effect on her?
