Hi, I am only 17 years old and I am at the first week of my second Loestrin24 pack.. But I haven't got a period yet.. Should I be worried? I started as a Sunday and Day 1 starter, because I had gotten my period on a Sunday. I can't stop thinking about why I haven't got my period ?.. I've taking all my pills on time and never missed one so I don't know what went wrong? I know I posted this before, but I didn't add a few details. I'm also on an antibiotic that makes the birth-control not as effective. Well it "might" make it not as effective.

hey picapeach, you first off need to grow up, 17 years old and you think you have all the answers. I think you should be spending your time in a book learning how to spell than to be making nasty remarks to people. First off I am 31 that is not old, and what is your issue with fat people. Some poeple are just not meant to be a size 4 sweety. I am not fat but I dealt with an eating disorder for years. If it makes you happy to put others down than you need more help than you could ever imagine, spend your energy in a book and get an education your are ignorent.

I am 29 years old, I have been taking Adderall XR for about a year and a half. It wasn't working too well until recently. Note that stress depletes the nesessary brain neurotransmitters necessary for focus, and optimal functioning. The very first time I took Adderall, I was taking 15mg and the night before, I had the proper amount of sleep which is about 7-8 hours. It worked very well. I woke up at I think, about 8AM, and the medication started helping me focus in approximately two hours later. But unfortunately that day, I had just received some very depressing news. The next day, the medication did not work properly again until now. I'm assuming the stress from this news depleted my brain's natural chemicals and did a number on me. On the other hand, if I had not of experienced that bad stuff, and I was going to school or work on a regular basis, my symptoms of AD/HD would of been a lot less and that Adderall would have consistantly worked. These medications are much more effective when taken properly, when you sleep well at night, exercise helps, and when there is very minimal stress in your life.
Since this August I have been seeing a specialist, a psychiatrist who specializes in AD/HD. Before August, I was taking 20mg of Adderall XR and 20mg of Prozac every other day. Today I've had Adderall increased to 30mg. So now I take 30mg of Adderall XR, 150mg of Wellbutrin XL and 20mg of Prozac every third day. Today I seem to be more focused, more energy, less procrastination, and less figiting.
Also, I would like to comment on the fact that for that 21 year old who was prescribed a lot of Adderall to start with----- 20mg of Adderall twice daily-- I believe that is too much. If I were her, I would of either started with 5 or 10mg of Adderall or even start with 10mg of Dexedrine instead. Before I took Adderall, I had been taking Dexedrine ever since I was 17 years old. I had been taking Dexedrine on-and-off. I think I started with 10mg of Dexedrine and 20mg of Prozac. My psychiatrist then, told me we would start the Prozac also because Dexedrine sometimes has the tendency to give people a bit of nervousness. So the next day, I knew Dexedrine was a miracle drug because I could actually listen to what the teacher was saying, study, learn, focus, keep info. in my brain and have conversations with people, without forgetting what I was about to say! It was amazing. From that point on, I knew that I had a brain and in that brain there was actually a high level of intelligence. Before the meds, I had always thought I was dumb.
It is also my opinion that in combination with medication, people with AD/HD should see a counselor or AD/HD couch to help them with their planning in life, goal setting, follow-through and to just sort of push them along positively.
So good luck everyone.....If anyone with ADD or AD/HD has had simular experiences or wants to chat, e-mail me or leave a message on this post.

I'm 17 years old, and I have Ulcerative Colitis. I was diagnosed at 15, and was put on Prednisone then for three months. I didn't gain much weight in my tummy that time, but my face swelled to huge proportions, and while ON the drug, my hair grew like crazy but was very dull and lifeless at the same time. The minute I stopped the drug, my hair started falling out. Within a month, I had lost 40% of my hair.
Well, I'm on it again, and this time it's worse. I started out at 40mg back in October, and am down to 20mg now, but it's just as bad as when I started. I'm VERY moody and snap at my best friends, who I am usually the calmest around. I often find myself just wanting to hit and yell at something. Before I started Pred, I weighed 138. I weighed myself yesterday... 150.2. This is very disheartening. I have a moon face, the makings of a double chin, unhealthy hair, I wake up about 5 times every night because I'm restless or I have to pee, I can't focus in school, my knees hurt, etcetera. I'm miserable.
I work out 6-7 times a week because I'm so concerned about my weight. I do 30-45 minutes of the treadmill and/or elliptical, and do all the happy little toning machines, in hopes that my tummy can be a bit more toned. But no. It's a useless blob. None of my favorite jeans or shirts fit me anymore, and this - not the drug itself, but the side effects - make me very, very unhappy.

Hello!
I'm 17 years old and active. I've been taking Yasmin for about 6 months now and I can't get rid of these TERRIBLE migraines. Headsplitting, can't think, can't work, can't focus kind of headache. Some mornings I wake up extremely disoriented and dizzy. This diziness usually stays with me throughout the day. Often, the week before my period I begin getting cramps despite still taking my active pills. However, the only positive thing I have to say is that my acne has almost cleared up entirely, something I've been struggling with since puberty.
A checkup is in order for me! I hope this helps someone else?

Dear Sophie,
I totally understand that you don't like to talk every day about that nightmare... And it's absolutely ok!! Just take and do anything you need, all that matters in the moment is you and your health!!
<>
Well, what should I say: This sentence could have been written by me around January to June 2005!!! I felt totally old and tired and ill, without any hope to get better again some day and look at me now: I finally start feeling like an 40 to 50 years old happy woman and hopefully in a few months I will be feeling like the 33 years old, healthy and happy Silke again, which I always was before taking that nightmare pill!! :)
I feel so happy that I'm finally able to sing again (I've been a singer in a band since I was 17 years old and had to stop it 2 years ago because of my Yasmin illnes...). That was one of the worst things that was caused by this agony, that I even was no longer able to sing in my band..... I missed that so much!!! So I think this is the best proof for the fact, that there really IS a life AFTER Yasmin!! It might last a long time, but your old self and fitness will come back!!!
So keep looking forward, Sophie and everyone who's within the same situation right now. Better times are ahead!! The first and most important step was to get off Yasmin immediately. The rest will be done by your body himself, all it needs is time and patience!!
Big hugs and love out to everyone out there and god bless you, too, Sophie!!
Silke

I recieved a kenalog shot in November 2004. I had no idea why this deep divit appeared a few months later, and recently a plastic surgon told me it was from a kenalog shot. I am 17 years old and have a cute body and an odd indentation in my left butt cheek that is noticeable in most clothes. I have an attorney working on the case for me but i was wondering if anyone was able to fix their divit like mine, or if any other court cases have been fought. I think it is rediculous that people are given this shot every day and not even warned of these side effects. It is very uncomfortable to sit and not nice to look at my butt. PLEASE someone help me find answers!!! THANKS!

I am 17 years old, and have been dealing with cysts and Endo. since I was the age of 14. I'v had 3 scopes. Two of them to remove cysts (one on ovary and one inside of ovary, which was thought to be cancerous at the time, and was acutally neg.) Third scope, they found Endo. I just got my first shot of Lupron about 4 days ago. Havn't felt any side effects yet, and pray they won't be bad! My doc. put me on a pill to counter react the side effects, has anyone else been put on tha pill? If lupron don't work, what do I go to next? A Histerctomy? Too, scary for my age!

INSOMNIA! I could sell this for mucho bucks for the high it gives me. I can't understand why this isn't a listed side-effect. I've been awake for 10 nights straight...even skipped nights of sleep entirely! I'm not 17 years old, here. I'm 34 and haven't been able to even stay awake more than 8 hours extra without feeling ultra dizzy and incredibly tired. Leaquin, however, keeps me awake without the side-effect of extreme exhaustion, lucky me! Is this drug legal??

I am 17 years old and the pill only bothered me the first month. My period was horrible that month but from then on it hasn't bothered me and my period was very light and you couldn't feel it. I have had no side affects or anything. The pill seems fine to me.
