I am 19 years old and I recently was taken off of it 2 years ago when I switched doctors. Prior to the switch I had been on it for 16 years. I prob have some of the worse side effects. Because it causes an increase in appetite I ate but I didn't eat all the time, and I ended up gaining over 100lbs. I have a black-brown ring around my neck and for the longest time I thought it was dirt that wouldn't come off so sometimes I scrubed my neck sometimes to the point that it was raw.I have bad acne on my back and its just horrible.I cry every single night because of the side effects.I just want to know if anyone on here can help me.

I am 19 years old & I have been on a low dose of Advair for about a year & a half. It has done wonders for me. Weezing is a thing of the past. I forgot how constricting & uncomfortable I used to be. It makes my atheletic hobbies more exciting & less of a burden than before. Taking that first 6 foot sprint was a nightmare & regretful in the long "run". Now I'm vurtually worry free. I still keep an albuterol inhaler close just in case, but rarely use it except for when allergies act up. I know of no side effects thus far.

My mother took Yutopar when she was 5 months pregnant with me and continued to take it until she delivered. At first I appeared to be a healthy baby but within hours of my birth I became increasingly sick. Now at 19 years old I have an unknown condition that causes my muscles to be very weak and force me to rely on my wheelchair for ALL mobility needs. I have used my wheelchair all my life and have had numerous tests, including 3 muscle biopsies, to try to find a diagnosis but the doctors do not know what it is. My parents both think it is Yutopar, but the doctors say no however they are unable to say what caused this.

hi
i am 19 years old and have been on Yasmin for almost 2 years. at first it was great decreased my pms symptoms. Just recently my period flow has picked up I get cramps again and have had a yeast infection back to back with a UTI and now i think a bacterial infection. I also have noticed a dramastic change in mood swings. I will cry for no reason, feel unhappy for no reason, and just be angry for no reason. I am an emotional person, but I usually can control myself. I find myself getting mad at my boyfriend and friends for no reason, and i cant control the mood swings. has this happend to anyone? and why has it taken so long? I was just wondering if anyone has had the same problems. thanks!

Honestly, i have nothing to complain about.
I'm 19 years old, and i started using birth control at 18. My first birth control pills were Ovcon-35. They left me feeling terrible. Depressed. My whole body ached, i couldnt move. My sex drive was non existant.. my period was off. i was getting it every 3rd week and it would stay for 14 days. Then i began getting yeast infections every 3rd week. i went to the doctor and was prescribed Aviane. These pills have made verything improve. I am able to become self-lubricated. my orgasms are more intense, i have no more depression. i want sex constantly.. my breasts are tender before my period, but for me, that is how it has always been.
I think that everyone is different. If Aviane is your first birth control pill, it may just be that. Ovcon-35 was my first, and i hate it with a passion.
As with everything, people react differently to different hormones, and chemicals. I think doctors need to look deeper into their patients backgrounds. it's a shame things like this are over looked.

ive had so many side effects theres just too many too name. im in pain constantly because of this poison. i took it for 8 days and for the last month my life has been hell. im only 19 years old but i feel like im 80. this drug should only be prescribed in life or death situations like severe pneumonia. but not for sinus infections. my muscles, joints , tendons are in constant pain. my skin has been blistered due to an extreme sunburn. im going to doctors continously trying to find out how i can heal my ravaged body. my life has been destroyed. DO NOT TAKE THIS CRAP, UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO GAMBLE YOUR LIFE.my body has been destroyed like thousands of others, because of ignorant doctors and drug companies who only care about money and not human suffering. DO NOT TAKE THIS POISON!!!! I WOULD RATHER DIE THAN TAKE THIS CRAP AGAIN.

Celexa is one of the only anti-depressants that works for me; I am 19 years old and female. I reacted badly to Lexapro. The strange side-effect I experience with celexa is I lose track of my thoughts when speaking, and experience the "tip-of-the-tongue" sensation, forgeting words and such. I switched to lexapro because of this, but I ended up switching back to celexa. has anyone else experienced this odd side effect?

I am 19 years old and not even 5 ft tall. Basically, I'm very small. I went to the doctor for an upper respiratory infection due to neglect of my asthma. My doctor gave me a prescription for 3 20mg tablets of Prednisone per day for 5 days. After taking it the first day I started experiencing high anxiety attacks, insomnia, and began to entertain suicidal thoughts. Thinking it was all due to stress, I sought help after taking a total of 300 mg and come to find out that the prednisone may be the cause of everything. We are not sure yet if this is true, because the drug is still in my system, but all clues point to that.

My boyfriend is gonna kill me if i keep yelling at him....lol.....If someone can give me some insight on this effect...i would appreciate it.
Thanks,

I am 19 years old and have been on Advair for 4 years. Although I have not had an asthma attack in 4 years =), I've had really bad heart problems for the past 2 which I never had prior to taking Advair. I'm finally going to the doctor this week and now I know it has to do with the Advair. I also have shortness of breath and for the past year have had reading comprehension problems as well as someone else had mentioned. I hope the symptoms will go away because it's not fun and I'm glad that I'm not hte only one who has these problems.

I am 19 years old and started Advair only 2 weeks ago, and already I'm feeling the symptoms other posters have mentioned. My back pain is unbearable, I can't even get comfortable long enough to fall asleep. I'm having extreme irratibility and mood swings. I have such muscle weakness that I can barely open a jar of peanut butter. On top of all of this, Advair is just barely doing anything to aid with my asthma symptoms. The side effects of this medication are not worth any of the help it provides.

No side affects at all. I was on Imitrex since it first came out by injection (I've done 100+ shots) then went to the pills. My body became ammuned to the Imitrex and my doctor put me on Zomig - Both the Imitrex and Zomig work wonders for my migraines. I've suffered from migraines since I was 19 years old (I'm 50). Before Imitrex/Zomig, I went to the ER and was given Demerol for my migraines (and was accused of being a drug addict) - In one year - I went 22 times for my migraines.
Yes - these drugs do have side affects. But that is the chance I take. If down the road, new evidence shows that some new side affect shows up - well that is something I will have to deal with. Right now, I am productive, happy, pain free and I can work a full day, not miss any family functions. Those of you who are experiencing problems or side affects - get off of it. Its written in the paperwork when you get the prescription. Don't keep taking it. It is your choice to take it or not. There will always be a percentage of those who cannot take a drug. When I took the Imitrex injections - I always had a bright red swelling around the injection area, even after santizing the area - but I still continued with the injections - but that was my choice. I didn't want the pain - it was too severe for me to handle. Do what is best for you.

Oh my....I thought I was having a heart attack or something!!! I had no idea that this stupid pill was doing all of this, when I found this page and read through a few of them I was so relieved!!!!!! I have not been on Yasmin very long I started in October and I hadn't even went through my second pack. I stopped taking the pill today because I started these chest pains a few days ago and I told my mom about them tonight it really scared me.So I called and told her and she looked it up and told me so I looked it up and found this page. My side effects didn't start happening until recently I have had pains through out my whole body, chest pains, back pains, stomach pains, leg, arm, etc., I am tired all the time and depression is starting and I have never had that. I thought my tiredness was just from having a two year old but I now know that it should not make me feel like this I am only 19 years old and will never take this stupid pill again or recommend it to any one thanks to all that made me see it was really Yasmin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
