I have also suffered severe side effects from Kenalog injections. I had a series of 12-14 injections because of a gynogological ailment. I also asked the doctor. if there were any side effects, she said," no". I was getting the minimal amount of dosage ( 40 MG ). My cheeks started to swell puffy and redness, I was gaining weight and could not concentrate. When I asked her about these problems , she said, " it was not from the injections." I then got a second opinion, and was told to stop the injections immediately ( blood test were done) This doctor also works for the same hospital. The 2nd opinion doctor called my doctor before giving me the results; to warn my doctor. Who then called me and also told me to get more blood test done. Well because of these injections now I suffer from Endocrinogical problems and may possibly have Endo Carsinoma cancer, which the doctors are monitoriing. I suffer from hair loss from the scalp of my head, hair growth on body and face; which I didn't have before. I can die if there is to much stress in my system, hormonal imbalance, irregular periods, loss of muscle, skin tissue, pain and numbness in the areas that were injected, areas that I did not have a problems with before the injection were administrated. I almost lossed my job; for job abandonment. I could not wake up in the morning I would fall into to a deep sleep, or would feel lathargic, disoriented, hallucinations, peranoia, and depression. The worst part about this, is that I cannot sue the hospital because 1. I work for the company 2. The hospital is privately owned and you cannot sue a privately owned hospital, you can only have an arbitration. The most you can get from these cases is $25.000, and no attorney wants to fight the company because it's to expensive to get a outside 2nd opinion, or they just don't think the case is strong enough to win. I'm in a real (rut)! This has also affected my sexual desire (no desire). I am 36, and I am a single parent with all these physical ailments.
Can anyone help ??????

I had a kenalog shot into my right buttocks on 12/09/2005 and now have an indentation in my buttocks at the injection site. I take great care of my body as I work out intensely five to six days a week. My boyfriend first noticed he indentation over a month ago however I didnt think anything of it until it began growing. I am going to my GP today to inquire about it as this will leave me severly depressed if this is permanent due to the fact that I am knwon to have a nice, round, muscular butt. I will wait to see what the GP says then most liely get a 2nd opinion and then if needed seek legal services. I am 31 y/o female in NJ. if anyone has any recomendations on another doctor to see and/or lawyer who specializes in medical malpractice please let me know. This is real sad as I only received one injection with no instructions on side effects for allergies, etc. I did not find any relief from the injection and am now left with a dimple in my butt. I also have pain and tendeness to that area.

Hi. I took Levaquin for 3 days for a sinus infection. I was supposed to take 10.
I had thigh pain, I felt like I was on a boat all the time, I saw things that were not there, had unbelievable dreams, and generally felt like crap.
The drug DID gt rid of my sinus infection, but since I didn't take the entire course I have it again. My Dr REFUSED to give me anything else, so I'm now getting a 2nd opinion.
It seems some people just can't tolerate this drug very well, but if you can deal w/the side effects it works great!

I have been on Advai 250/50 since Spring. I have had some laryngitis which I believed was cause by a bad cold I had . Then in June I started losing my voice continously and cannot get it back. I have been to one ENT who put me on Steroids for a week( no results). I went back a month later, my vocal cords still swollen and still no voice. This ENT wanted to do surgery right away and shave down the vocal cords. I went to get a 2nd opinion and the other ENT told me to discontinue my ADvair, since on of the side effects is Disphonia ( loss of voice). So I have discontinued the Advair. We shall see if this is the cause of my chronic Laryngitis.

I am going on a "mentaly young 54 yr old female. BUT I feel like I'm over 80 and hurt so bad I thought I should be dead, just that someone forgot to throw the dirt in on my grave. I have been physiclay going down hill for the past 4 yrs. with a varioty of ailment. Recently my best freind turned me onto the web site and I could not believe what I read. I'm astounded that when my syptoms first started my doctor of over 20 yrs didnt' take me off right away. I made an apt for a 2nd opinion. I defently plan on quiting, but I want to be monitored. Besides going through hair loose, my worst 2 symtoms are: my back was hurting me so bad that I was desperate enough to go to a cyroprator. I took the exray to the bone doctor and he claimed I have soliosis, and the 2nd claimes it arthritis. My spine dose have a distict S curve to it. I'm been going to physical therapy for streaching exercises which I will probly have to continue for the rest of my life just to try to keep the muscles around my spine as strong as I possible can. The other major effect is that my feet are going through something weird. It feels as if I have silicone injection in my foot just befor the toes on both feel. Like walking on small water balloons. Then of course my hip is killing me when I try to sleep, that only feels like there's a rail road spike in it. I just pray that when I do quite these effects will disapear. But after ready some of the other people's messages, I'm afraid that after 4 yrs, I'm screwed. Trust me though. If there is ever a class action lawsuite I would be more than happy to jump on the band wagon. I'm in pain no matter if I stand, sit or sleep. An after thought accurred to me. This is embarrasing but my bladder habbits have also changed. I havent had a full night sleep in years. I find myself getting up at least 2 to 3 times in the middle of the night just to go to the bath room. Has anyone else had that problem? Does anyone also know if there is something else one can do to lower cholesteral level beside this hell.

started it about the same time as thyroid meds. I started getting muscle weekness and joint pains mostly in legs when cold air blew on either. Also during PMS week. I dont know which med it is or if related at all. I am getting a 2nd opinion on somethings and possibly never needed the thyroid med to begin with since my hormone symtums sound and look on labwork more like low estrogen. My thyroid labs were always normal till 6 mo. after begining thyroid med then my labs were hyper. My dr. is clueless so I go somewhere else for this. He showed me how to use Advair wrong. Lucky for the internet I figured it out on my own. I am never going to try two meds together at the same time again cause then you dont know which is causing side effects or helping fatigue.

My husband was prescribed Avelox 3 weeks ago when he was diagnosed with pneumonia for the 2nd time in 2 years. It seemed to work quickly on the pneumonia, but he has large bumps under the skin, like cysts and the skin above the bumps is red. They seem to be popping up randomly on his arms and legs and some will fade away. The 2nd dr that he saw at the clinic said it wasn't aside effect of the Avelox, but was a bacterial skin infection. She just kind of jumped around from one diagnosis to the next, which leads me to believe that she is clueless! My husband can barely walk now and I fear at least tendonitis or at worst, tendon damage. He has an appointment with another dr tomorrow for a 2nd opinion. After reading some of the horror stories connected with this drug, I have to wonder why this was prescribed when they could have given him the same antibiotic that he responded so well with the last time he had pneumonia. I will post the new doctor's diagnosis tomorrow.
