PS. If you've removed the Mirena and are trying to get your hair to grow back, this method was told to me by a friend in her late 60s with beautiful waist-length hair who used to go to a famous salon in New York (George Michael on Fifth Avenue). She has had severe seborrhea in the past and George told her about this treatment:

Solgar Brewer's Yeast, powdered (nothing else is good enough). One rounded tablespoon stirred into about 6 oz of water (not carbonated) immediately before bed - after using the bathroom one last time. Do this every night, no cheating, for 90 days. Pause for 30 days, then repeat if necessary. It must be powdered yeast; capsules/tablets won't do it.

I'm only 2 weeks into my first treatment with the yeast, and I still have the Mirena (but not for long), so I can't report on its effectiveness -- yet.

I was on Yaz for 5 months, and didn't realize the side effects were creeping up on me until I caught a stomach virus that just kept lasting and lasting.

I became increasingly anxious, nervous, and irrationally fearful. My heart rate soared up to 110 just sitting (it is normally in the 60s), I could not eat for several days and lost 9 pounds. My ears felt full and sometimes painful. I had shortness of breath, dizziness, and some chest pain. I felt constantly "overstimulated" and could not handle any amount of stress.

I have only been off of this pill for a little over a month, but I believe I am starting to get better. There IS a lawsuit for this drug, so please do a search for Yasmin Survivors Forum and find the thread titled Newest Lawsuit Info Feb 2009 if you have also experienced side effects like these.

Hi,

To the first poster: bbk I had the same problem. I've been on Adderall-the regular kind, not XR-since my ADD diagnosis in June.

Whenever I start an SSRI: Prozac, Zoloft, Effexor, Lexapro, my Adderall stops working. I get exhausted, brain fog, and I also get an insane appetite.

I've done some research and the explanations I've found are that SSRIs tend to increase your insulin and lower dopamine. Adderall is supposed to increase dopamine. Basically, the SSRI interferes with the Adderall.

In one appointment with my doctor (while I was on Prozac) he actually admitted that most SSRIs raise insulin, Prozac being worse than others. Guess that explains why my blood sugar was always in the 60s and I felt horrible no matter what I ate or did.

If you're already overweight and insulin resistant it will screw you up more than other people.

I'm currently trying to find an anti-depressant that works well with Adderall.

4/10/07 from Lynn H.
My husband is 49 and has peripheral vascular disease which causes him to have ongoing problems with leg/ankle edema and cellulitis. He is standing and moving all day for his job and this increases his inflammation and edema. The doctor put him on Levaquin 750 mg./day for the cellulitis.
SIDE EFFECT: Hard pounding heartbeats, skipped beats, fast heart beats. He has gone off the medication for a few days, then just took one a few hours ago. The hard heartbeats started up again, as heard through my stethoscope. Heart rate in the 60s, but many skips and hard pounds. He will not continue this horrible medication and contact the doctor. This is a "dangerous" medication.

Anaphylaxis. While under general anesthesia, the patient developed truncal erythema, bronchospasm, and hypotension (BPsys 50-60s) within minutes of lymphazurin administration. The patient recovered after being treated with a 2 L. I.V. fluid bolus, epinephrine, SoluMedrol, Benadryl, and neosynephrine.
