I had a kidney removed at the age of 19. I recently had a UTI and was prescribed sulfameth/trimeth ds for it. With in an hour after taking the first pill my hands turned bright red and were uncontrollably itching and then the rest of my body started to itch, with in about 2 hours it felt like i had been beaten up my entire abdomen hurt (movement like coughing and breathing hurt the most) By the end of the day when it was time for my second dose i was beginning to get really concerned, but i took the second pill thinking i needed to protect the only kidney i have left. The next day i wasn't able to go to work i was in so much pain in the abdominal area. I also feel light headed and short of breath. I DID NOT receive a drug facts paper with the side effects like u would with any other drug ive ever gotten and im starting to wonder why. So I called the doctors office that prescribed it to me to see if it was an allergic reaction or side effect and it took them 2 days to call me in a new prescription! Heres hoping it didn't harm the kidney i have.

My periods as I know them are gone. I spot usually 2-3 weeks out of a month. I keep getting yeast infections (once sometimes twice a month). I do get cramps in my abdomen which I never had until I got Mirena. I still get lower back cramps. My breasts are very swollen & tender like I'm pregnant even though I'm not. I've had Mirena about 4 months now. I guess I will wait to see if this situation gets better in the next few months before I make the decision to take it out. Overall I am not at all impressed with Mirena.

am a 61 year old male and after a heart attack 7 years ago they put me on Lisinopril. I gained 20 pounds and look pregnant with 8 months of starting it. My stomach looks like I am pregnant.
My mother called the other night and said she had symptoms of a stroke.
I took her to the emergency room and the doctor looked over her medications and immediately diagnosed Lisinopril as the culprit and it was not a stroke. She stopped taking Lisinopril and immediately the symptoms disappeared and her stomach bloating disappeared.
I went to my doctor today and insisted he take me off this poison . Over the last 7 years I have gained over 40 pounds, all in my stomach.
I am hoping this does me good.

I have had my mirena in for almost 2 years now and after reading all of these posts, its really been an eye opener! I bled for 3 months straight, my doc convinced me to keep it in and I did. From then it seemed great. Barely had a period and when I did I would just spot. But now I get headaches frequently and cramping from my abdomen all the way around to my back. I have also had to make 2 trip to general surgery because of severe breast pain and thinking that I had breast cancer. Now, I'm thinking all of this is from the mirena. I have an appointment to have it taken out this month and I cant wait. I have had a decrease in sex drive and have been really tired all the time. I have two children who are 2 and 4 and thought it was due to that, but now I'm thinking its not.

Ok, I had my mirena inserted 7/17/08, mind you I haven't had any kids yet. From that day forward it has been hell. I called my doctors office because the pain was so bad that I couldn't even stand up straight. They told me that this was normal and it will get better. After two weeks of calling I finally called with an attitude and told them, something is WRONG. I went in and seen a doctor, my doctor wasn't in that day. As this doctor went to do the exam he said I don't see the string. I freaked out, they sent me for ultrasounds, still couldn't find it. Long story short, they tried to tell my it expelled my body, well after they did more xrays they found it in my abdomen. Since I have had it surgically removed, I have been in pain, it was done on the 2nd of August 2008. I am still bleeding, not like a period but enough for annoyment. I also, haven't been able to have sex because of all the pain I have been in. I am now seeing another doctor because I basically had to tell my last doctor what to do, I felt I should see another doctor. He is waiting to see if my bleeding will stop on its own in the next few weeks, if not then we are going to do another laproscopy to see what the problem might be. I am on birth control, have been since a week after the removal of the mirena.
Is there anyone else out there that might be going through the same thing as I am? This is really disturbing, I thought I was getting better for a few days then, again I start bleeding. The pains are sometimes unbearable, but they are not cramps, they are shooting pains. I am sick of taking pain meds. If there is someone else out there that can relate please respond.
Thank you

I was so happy to find this website!.. I am a 49 year old female taking Linsinopril for approximately 10 months now for high blood pressure (which has come down to a normal rate since being on the medication). I have been experiencing a severe in my lower back towards my left side for about 2 months now and have been tested for many things (ultrasounds, MRI's, blood work, etc.) and nothing has been found to be causing this pain so far. The pain is constantly there, but more severe when I have a bowel movement and for about 1-2 hours afterwards. I also have the following symptoms: pain in joints on left side of my body - ankle, hip, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand (including joint swelling mostly on left side). Bad pain and weakness in upper left arm when I try to rotate my arm backwards - can no longer pick up heavy objects with left hand. Also have pain in joints on right side, but not as severe. I have experienced headaches and my abdomen feels swollen all the time. It feels as though someone pumps air into my stomach every morning. It also feels as if something is throbbing or on fire across my abdominal area. This condition has disrupted my life - I have no energy and feel weak and tired all the time. I get out of breath easily just from walking or any amount of exertion. I no longer have the ambition to do the things I used to do. I've been thinking that there has to be something seriously wrong that the medical doctors are missing - and have feared some type of cancer. Now that I have found similar symptoms on this website, I am going to try to stop the Lisinopril and see if my symptoms subside.

My son was born March 2007, when he was 8wks old, to much of my surprise I found out that I was pregnant again. Mirena sounded perfect!!!! I had it placed 7 weeks after my 2nd son was born in Jan 2008. I had what I still assume is normal with any type of birth control method, irregular bleeding, cramping, some slight mood swings. That all seems normal to me when you mess with you body like that. Aug 1, 2008 I woke up at4am with awful abdominal pain sooo bad that I turned to my husband and said that I think I have to go to the hospital. I decided that if I could fall back asleep then its probably nothing major. I fell back asleep (or passed out, I don't know) The next morning I was hurting so bad I couldn't lift anything, couldn't stand up straight, felt weak and felt as though I had rocks in my stomach but had an empty feeling at the same time. The pain was all over my abdomen, stabbing, shooting, pinching. I also had pain aroung my belly button and a noticeable discomfort about my pevic bone. Finally I called my husband to come home, went to the hospital, they took blood, cultures, did an exam and did a ctscan. All normal! WHAT!! Aug 11th still having pain and now having MAJOR HOT FLASHES. I find myself getting so hot and irritated that I cant be around the babies because I am afraid I will yell at them. If I get in a little disagreement with my husband it will most likely end with me saying I want a divorce (I noticed another lady with that same problem) Today I had a ultra sound done and it came back what my (new) doctor says is normal. The problem with that is that one of my ovaries is split and is NOW shaped like a horse-shoe. I was pregnant for almost 2yrs straight and had lots of ultrasounds NOT ONE TIME did anyone say anything about a odd ovary. I'm just going to make a educated guess that it wasn't deformed till after the Mirena. Now I am wanting to remove it but feel like I should get every test known to man first to rule out any other possibility. I really don't want to remove it. I am afraid of getting it removed and even more of getting pregnant when I already have two 10 months apart and still in diapers.
My biggest question is wanting to know if hot flashes are related or if I might be having something else going on. Am I the only one with he hot flashes? I have them all day long!!!!!!!!
Also I noticed after reading other post that some other things may be related like, piercing headaches, itchy flaky oily scalp, weight gain, ear drainage, lower back pain, oily skin, increased smoking, in-grown hairs in inner thigh area, joint pain, fatigue, decrease sex drive.

Obviously a lot of the gals taking this hormonal formulation need to get a totally different one. What surprises me are all the first-time BC users whose doctors are putting them on a rather high-dose pill (not technically high dose, but it is the highest you can be under the "Low Dose" heading). I would think their doctors would've put them on something very very low and go from there.
Anyways, I was on BC pills for 8 years before we decided to start a family. However, ever since having my first child 4 years ago, I couldn't find a pill that could control my period. It seemed that when I was off the pill, I was fine, but as soon as I started a pill I would bleed 3 weeks out of 4. It was awful--plus insurance wouldn't pay for other methods besides permanent BC methods. I went through at least three different types of pills with no luck. Then we decided to have our second child...so off the pill and my periods were normal and regular up until I conceived. After my second child was born and I was done breast-feeding, my doctor put me on a pill (loestrin, I think?) and back to the same thing...3 weeks of heavy bleeding out of 4 and it made not only me, but my husband, crabby. I tried another pill, then finally got very firm and specific with the nurses and my doctor...they needed to put me on something completely different than the other formulations I'd been on and/or a higher dosage.
First month on Femcon FE and only 1 day of light spotting; lighter-than-normal period (thank goodness!); but I did have some weird abdominal pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen. Thankfully that pain went away after eating, particularly high-fiber meals or large meals. Since I had a stomach bug the week before I started the pills, I didn't think too much of it; figured the stomach virus had moved south and was just irritating my gut. It went away by the time I had my period...but it started again after 5 days on my next pill pack, though the pain is considerably less than last month. However, after seeing someone else's comment regarding estrogen's affect on the gallbladder (and that's about where my pain was), I'm going to at least talk to my doctor on Monday.
I have had no other side effects other than the abdominal pain and very very slight breast tenderness (although after pregnancy and breast-feeding, the breast tenderness is barely noticeable in comparison). So I'd like to stay on this as long as I'm not developing any gallstones, etc.

We have been through hell for the past three years with my son, who is now 18. He went from a very happy, confident kid who had lots of friends, loved playing several sports, played the piano, enjoyed going to school where he got straight A's, to a complete disaster. I cried when I read many of these postings. All these stories sound so similar to ours. He had trouble sleeping where he couldn't get to sleep at night and then his sleep would be very restless (one time he punched a hole in the wall in his sleep, several times he fell out of bed) and he would be all twisted up in his blankets in the morning. Getting him up in the morning became a complete nightmare, I dreaded getting up in the morning because our mornings had become so stressful. He just could not seem to wake up no matter what method we tried and sometimes it could get quite ugly. We took him in for several sleep studies which didn't yield any results. He started feeling sick all of the time with frequent stomach aches and ended up missing alot of school. We had a CT scan done on his abdomin which didn't show anything abnormal. Because he missed alot of school he fell behind and his grades dropped, he stopped hanging out with all of his old buddies and he started getting into trouble. There were days when he would be rolled up in a ball in his bed crying, telling me that he couldn't stand the thought of going to school. This was not the son we knew and we, like most people with teenagers, figured it was just a phase and would go away. Unfortunately, he ended up getting thrown out of school and has moved out of state. He will not be graduating with his class this spring which is a tragedy. Although he has been away from us now for 10 months, we keep in touch regularly and he is doing great (he stopped taking Singulair well over a year ago). He has had a steady job that he loves for the past 10 months and is apparently able to get himself up in the mornings and to work on time. He has been living on his own, paying rent and all of the other associated expenses that go with this, he has not asked us for any assistance and appears to be coping very well. He has made a lot of new friends and seems to be thriving. We are very proud of him! He would like to get his GED and go to college. His transformation has been dramatic. The frustrating part is that it didn't have to be this way. We feel like we have pretty much lost the last three years of our son's life, and we're not sure when he will be coming home. We all miss him terribly, especially his brother and sister, there is a big hole in our family. And the stress of the last three years has taken a toll on our family. I have passed some of these postings on to our Dr. I hope all of the information on these postings will help to spare other families the sadness and heartache that we have gone through. If there is going to be a class-action suit I would appreciate receiving any information regarding that.

I've had my Mirena for about 15 and a half months and I am having it removed today at 2 o'clock. At first I had sharp pains when I would sit down and I felt like the cords were poking me and irritating me. My OB/GYN requires patients to come back one month after having it put in so he can check it and make sure it is still in place. At this visit he also trimmed the cords although he acted like he didn't believe me when I told him that I could feel them poking me when I sat down and that it hurt. At first I didn't notice any bad side effects, but I did have one good one: my periods stopped, but I still had occasional and sporadic spotting. I didn't think to look for any bad side effects because I got the device under the impression that it had no bad side effects. I thought it only had a rare complication of perforating the uterus, but since mine was in place at the one month check, I didn't think about anymore until I started thinking about having another baby recently. I went online to see if I had to have a doctor remove the Mirena or if I could do it myself, and I found out that it's best done by a professional because bad things can happen and then you'd have to go to the doctor anyway. Plus, I didn't want to hurt my chances of having another baby. While online I discovered this whole world of message boards where women were having a lot of the same problems I'd been having in recent months and they all blamed their Mirenas. Some claimed that their problems had gone away since having it removed. I never thought to link my circumstances to the Mirena, but when I saw how many women are having the exact same problems as me I knew that I needed to go ahead and get mine out ASAP. Here is a list of my side effects, and I've found other women have had them as well with Mirena: weight gain, bloated stomach, depression, short temper with husband and daughter, acne, low sex drive, spotting, cramps, constipation, and back pain. There may be more, but I can't remember them all right now. Some of them may not even be related to the device, but I've read of so many women with Mirena who are having or have had the same issues, so I suspect a link between my problems and Mirena. I hope this helps someone out there looking for answers. God Bless!

I have had the Mirena IUD for about 9 1/2 months and its been hell. After reading this I know I'm not crazy. About a month ago I woke up and I was so dizzy I could barely stand up. I couldn't figure out why until reading some of the post. I have been so frusterated all the time. I periodically have cramps, sharp pains in my abdomin. I also hve had a huge problem with mood swings and loss of energy. The other things that have been really weird I've had more facial hair and the deodarant I used for years stopped working. I also had bleeding to spotting for the first 7 months. Thankyou all for your postings you've really helped me to listen to what my body has been trying to tell me I'm going to have it removed on Sept 15th. Oh 25lbs gained since having it. Sorry for the bad spelling and grammer.

For optic neuritis, and arm and shoulder pain: I had a combo of 3 days of Solu-Medrol infusion (steroid via IV) and then went on the following regimen of Prednisone: 5 days 60 mg; 3 days 40 mg; 2 days 20 mg.
Side effects have been terrible with the WORSE CASE OF FACIAL ACNE I have ever had. I'm 28 - I have my 10th high school reunion, weddings, and more -- and it may sound vain, but if you saw this acne (hundreds of tiny pimples all over my cheeks; sides; chin; and upper neck) you'd feel my pain. Also, got shoulder, arm, back, and chest acne -- which I can take b/c I can find ways to cover that up. But face! It's terrible. I'm using Pro-Activ and see minimal improvement. The #2 problem has been SEVERE heartburn during the tapering off phase. I have never felt that much pain and it only went away after I completely went off the drug - I treated this with ginger drink (a hot tea sold in international food stores) and Pepcid AC. Also, due to my original symptoms I can do virtually no exercise when I used to exercise 6 days/week. I'm really worried about weight gain which I already see in my arms and face. My appetite has been through the roof. Irritability was the worst but I forewarned my family. My original symptoms have greatly improved, but I'd honestly rather fight through that original pain than endure the craziness that is prednisone.

I have been on Neutontin for about 8 or 9 years. I still experience side effects that I just can't get rid of. I take 400mg 4 times a day. I have swelling of my abdomin, hands, legs and feet. I feel drunk and ditsy. I have memory loss and find it very hard to concentrate. On the up side, I am very happy and feel as though I can accomplish anything when I take it. I have the courage to do things I normaly wouldn't do. I am taking it for seizures and also nerve pain from a back injury. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this.

Ok..I took Yasmin for about a year and didn't really have any side effects. But about 2-3 months ago I switched to Ovcon 35 and absolutely loved it!! But I ran out of the Ovcon about 3 weeks ago and still had a pack of Yasmin...so I started it.. that way I wouldn't be without birth control...and I am into my 3rd week of Yasmin and I feel ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! My breasts are swollen and very tender ( as if I were pregnant ) and I keep having these on and off cramps in my lower abdomin...as if I were about to start my period!!! I don't understand it all really and it's kind of scary in a way...because I felt this way the first 2 times I was pregnant...( with these pains and all ). But the funny thing is I had my period about 2 weeks ago...so there is no way I could be pregnant!! I am also having the feeling like I'm not even here...kind of like I am just a zombie!! The feeling of everything just being strange in general...like nothing is going right!! I am super sleepy all the time...easily aggrivated...very emotional...sick on my stomach and I hate to say it...but my insides have been really tore up!! And all of those things are not how I was while I was taking the Ovcon!! I am also constantly feeling thirsty...and having the feeling that I have to pee...ALOT!!! It's all crazy to me...and I have 13 pills left in this pack of the Yasmin....and after these...I am NEVER EVER GOIN BACK ON THIS PILL!! To anyone who reads this in search of what we are all on this page doing....PLEASE DON'T CONSIDER YASMIN....IT'S THE WORST BIRTH CONTROL EVER INVENTED!!

I started on Lupron because of extreme pain in my lower left abdomin thought to be ovarian cysts or endometriosis. Within 24 hours of each shot, it would feel as if my legs were broken. It hurt right into the bones and I wouldn't be able to walk or even sit comfortably. It would last about a week. I finally gave up, my mobility was so impared. Now, I'm waiting for exploratory surgery and possible hysterectomy.

I have been having initial success addressing the lingering side effect of "twisting" or "turning" or "pushing" sensation in the stomach/middle abdomin by adding chromium (about 200mcg with each meal) to my other nutrional supplements for combatting the lisinopril-caused problems. I will make another status report later on...
The other most helpful nutritional supplements I've found so far are: calcium/magnesium, zinc, and manganese (and now chromium). Given that they are all minerals, I did think to try a multi-mineral at one point, but it made me feel sick after a week or so; also I have tried a zinc/copper since copper is one of the nutrients whose absorbtion is said to be interfered with by lots of zinc, but that made me feel sick too; just the wrong proportions for that stage in my recovery, I guess.
I agree with the posting below that said that taking lots of just one mineral can put your system out of balance. However, the lisinopril did 1000x better job of putting my system out of balance, and lots of zinc for a number of weeks helped tremendously with the lingering cough, so the suffered imbalances were worth it (at the time I didn't know about manganese and chromium).
In general, I have found that to get a theraputic benefit from one of these trace minerals (zinc, manganese, or chromium), I have had to get close to its established upper limits. Eventually, I hope to get to a point where an oridinary multi-vit/mineral is sufficient for me.

There are so many postings of major problems with this drug that it may take some time to read them all. Please note that there are many many pages of problem reports. Go to the bottom and use the Page and Next buttons to see more issues. I found that I could only search one page at a time from my browser for words like anxiety. There are 42 pages of problem reports at this time, and rapidly growing too.
Among this group, anxiety and agitation are known side effects of this medicine. I believe the anxiety and agitiation come from the body knowing that something very bad is happening to it. I had severe agitation after a month or so of use. Later this turned into anxiety, and still later manifested itself as an intense and very scary burning sensation in my abdomin.
Needless to say, I saw several doctors: all were of no help and acted as advocates for the drug companies instead of as an advocate for me - they would say it couldn't possibly be the lisinopril, it must be you! What a cop out. And they prescribed paxil and later zoloft, since I kept complaining, neither of which was good for me. I finally made the association with the lisinopril, but unfortunately not before it had done some major and lasting destruction of quality of life. I got off the medicine and have been recovering ever since; that was over a year ago now. I'm much better (I was pretty bad off from this stuff) but not back to where I was before the lisinopril. I still have bad days rich with the side effects of this poison.
I have found calcium to help me with the pain in the lower abdomin side effect that was at the root of my anxiety and agitation. Later I discovered how helpful zinc is in getting rid of the cough side effect. And a small amount of manganese with some good vitamin-b helped me in combating the low energy levels and frequent tiredness side effect.

I had major stomach problems that started with gas, bloating etc... I went to the emergency room for abdominal pain (because that's what my doctors office told me to do when I asked for an appointment regarding abdominal pain), and they found nothing and suggested IBS (Iritible Bowel Syndrom). The side effects continued developing and turned into a burning sensation deep in the abdomin. I had to stop eating all spicy foods and also stop taking my usual 500mg/day vit-c supplement. The burning sensation was physical but really hurt and made me anxious and agitated. Problems kept getting worse, doctor said all was psychological problems, prescribed paxil, later zoloft; I tried the paxil for two days, didn't like it (they said it would take two weeks to help, but I felt it the first time); never took the zoloft. Took many tests; all came up negative. All the doctors I went to were absolutely no help (made things worse in fact). It turned out to all be the lisinopril. I figured it out as the side effects kept mounting.
By the way, for those with the cough (get off this horrible medication and) take extra zinc around 4 times the RDA/DV seems to help a lot with helping the lungs clear that sticky stuff out. (I like country-life target-mins 50mg zinc - effective and easy on my stomach; tried several others before finding this one; I take a quarter of one 50mg tablet 4 times a day, and a good multivitiamin at dinner.) Also, calcium seems to help with the some of the other side effects (there are many side effects, pains, discomforts, etc... from this so-called medication).
This is one crappy medication, and, the worst of it is that doctors are just clueless about its numerous side effects.

Hello everyone. I am here to add my "two cents" about Yasmin. I have been off of it for about 2 months now, and I am feeling much better. I originally was put on birth control pills to control horrible cramps during both ovulation and my period. I am a 47-year old female who has been getting worse and worse pms and periods. I tried a couple other birth control pills, but my blood pressure was on the high side, so my OB/GYN explained that it might be worth trying Yasmin, since it has a diruetic in it. Like most of the other posts I have read, I don't know if I am "crazy" or not, but all I can attribute my symptoms to is Yasmin. I started taking Yasmin in the end of February, and by day two, I was nauseous and was constantly in the bathroom. Within a week, my entire lower abdomin was tender to the touch. By this past Easter (the end of March), I began running a fever and went to the Dr. I was put on Cipro, as they thought I had either a lower abdominal infection or diverticulitis. I was sent for a lower GI and they did see some small kidney stones and a 4 mm cyst on my right ovary. The cyst eventually went away and I continued to experience nausea and tenderness in my lower abdomin. After my period in the end of March/beginning of April, I went off Yasmin. ALL IS NOW FINE. Am I crazy? I don't know if this is a coincidence, or if these symptoms were caused by the Yasmin. I have never been so sick in my life. I am now hormone free - I will put up with the heavy painful periods for awhile longer!
Good luck to all!

I am still recovering from numerous side effects from this lisinopril.
The most lasting effect is occasional shortness of breath, and aches & pains in the chest and abdomin. I have recently discovered that iron helps with this a lot.
As a recap, I've found over time that vit-C w/ bioflavinoids (twisting sensation in stomach), calicum (tight band around the chest, aching feet), vit-E (pains in chest) and iron (shortness of breath and muscle weakness/pain in abdomin) to be helpful in combating the side effects from this drug.
If you're having some of these problems, check to make sure you're getting enough of these nutrients.
Also remember: don't swallow that stuff it makes you cough up, that irritates the throat and stomach (lump in throat).
As always, best of luck to all!

Wow! I thought I was all alone. I started taking Yasmin a month and a half ago, and I have not felt good since. My main problem is stomach cramps which are continual. I also have a sharp pain in my lower abdomin which comes and goes. I cannot eat a lot because it hurts my stomach even more. The other day I also had shooting back pain. The first week of Yasmin I had the worst cramps I have ever had. I was in tears! I also bleed for the whole first month except the week of the placebo pills where I'm suppose to have my period?! I have also not been able to sleep well, whereas before I could always get a good sleep. I'm so glad you girls have informed me of your struggles. I feel so much better now, and I'm calling my gyno today!

I took only 1 dose of Levaquin, 500mg, at 7pm. Within 3 hrs I noticed tingling in my arms and hands and increased urination. Was wide awake all night, developed rash on abdomin, very red neck and face, ringing in my ears, dry mouth, back and neck pain, clenching of jaw and unable to relax it, and a disjointed/out of body feeling. I called my Dr. the next morning and quit taking the Levaquin. Day 2 and still having insomnia, twitching of muscles at corner of mouth, itchiness on palms and soles of feet, anxiety, abdominal pain and joint pain.

I had severe abdominal bloating to the point that my physicians ordered a catscan of my abdomin. I couldnt even put on my pant's it looked like I was pregnant. I was taken off the avelox and the swelling went down in two days.

I had my Mirena inserted on Aug 12, 2009. The insertion was very painful. I had taken 800 mg of ibuprofen before the procedure but it didn't touch the pain. I am 40 years old and have had two children naturally with no medication, I feel like I have a high pain tolerance. I had severe cramping and bleeding for about 24 hours. Luckily my husband came with me, I would not have been able to drive home. I have spotted or bleed ever since. I don't know when I'm having a period or just spotting. I have been passing chunks of what appears to be tissue????? I have an offensive odor. I have not noticed weight gain but I am bloated and my clothes are tighter. I am am very moody and get frustrated easily, no patience. I have a lack of energy and don't have much of a desire to do any of the things I love. I have frequent headaches......Now for my major complaints.....I have tingling leg sensation down my legs with a warming sensation, I get extremely nausea. I have had extreme crapping in my abdomen which goes around to my lower back. They tend to be more on my right side. Very comparable to labor pains but with no peaking just stays intense. My breast feel like I'm breast feeding again and hurt all the time. We no longer have sex because it hurts to bad, besides I bleed all the time and stink! Wow if that dosent take the desire away! At times I feel as if I have a UTI, I believe this all contributed to the Mirena. I too called my OB/GYN and he said theses are not side effects of the Mirena.whatever! It is coming out Oct 9, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. I wish I would have researched it more. Thanks for sharing your experiencing because I felt like I was just falling apart.
