I have been having chest pains every afternoon since July 13th, which was right after the doc prescribed me Toprol-XL. I have had SOOO many tests and they can't figure out what the problem is. The chest pains happen in the afternoon while I'm walking, I don't mean walking for exercise I'm talking about walking to the bathroom or just to the other room and my chest feels like it is about to explode. I accidentally quite taking the Toprol for about 5 days. My husband had knocked my pill bottle off the cabinet and out of sight out of mind. Well, Saturday was the first day in over 2 months that I didn't have a chest pain. I didn't have any problems for the 5 days, then I realized that I had been forgetting to take the Toprol and started it back up and the chest pains have come back. Has anyone ever had this same problem?

I have been taking Levall G off and on when needed, and it is an excellent nasal and respitoary decongestant. I accidentally took more than the prescribed dose one day and felt as if I were on Vicodin. I experienced a spurt of nausea but I drank some water and ate some crackers and then I was fine. After that, the Vicodin feeling started kicking in. I also felt very floaty. But it's hard with your coodination, so please, be careful. Just lie down!

I've been taking Zoloft 2 years. Little by little I began to feel joint pains. Pain is only concentrated in the inside part of the elbows (the little bone which hurts tremendously when you hit self accidentally when the elbow is bumped). I've also noticed I loose my grip on tools, ie: pliers, screwdrivers.

First off, I can't believe I found this site. For once I don't feel alone about having side effects from the Nuva Ring.

I'd been on Nuva for over 2.5 yrs when I left it at school and thus accidentally went off of nuva for a month and a half. I was shocked at how much better I felt after a few hormone-free weeks:

-I could finally drink alcohol in normal amounts and not get crippling hangovers the next day - before even just a few drinks would send me over the edge the next morning.

-My sex drive doubled. I didn't know my sexual capacity until going off of this. (Anyone have a favorite non-pharmaceutical contraceptive they'd like to recommend???)

-I don't get mood swings anymore- when I was on Nuva I knew that I'd get at least one day a month where I'd sit in bed and cry for hours, fully aware that I was being irrational. I was emotionally unstable for a whole week every month.

These are just a few of the many things I've noticed. I'm very disappointed that it took a mistake 2.5 years later for me to realize that it was because of Nuva.

Hi,

Last week I was cleaning, and I sprayed my sink area with bleach, I accidentally leaned into the bleach soaking my pants causing an awful rash from an allergic reaction. I had Prednisone already prescribed from an earlier date for my athsma, so I followed the directions on the bottle and took 4 pills which was 40 mg last night at 3am. I slept through the night, but when I got up and started moving around, I felt very hot in my face, flushed, confused and irritable. I took it upon myself to take 40 mg and now I don't have any more to take for today to ween myself slowly. Is this dangerous? should I call my Dr. tonight or will it be ok until monday? Please help...thanks

I have taken Fluoxetine for Depression/Panic Disorder for approximately 4 years, prior to that I had taken Paxil with terrifing results. On Paxil, I had terrible nightmares, sleeplessness and irratability. However, since changing to Fluoxetine I have been doing great. I still have occasional sleepless nights or difficulty staying asleep. I will start in the middle of the night to wake, I can usually go back to sleep within a few moments, but to do this continually through the night can defeat a good nights rest.

Also, since I am a female I have noticed that Fluoxetine has helped with PMDD, (Premenstral problems) however if I skip a dose accidentally or not, then I'm an emotional basket case. And these emotional distruptions can last up to a week or more. Just thought other women would like the info.

I accidentally(thank God) stumbled to this site after typing in a search for : viral infection that causes dizziness, racing heart, lump in throat. Up popped this!!! I was horrified but at the same time relieved. I am 35 yrs old and for the past 2 weeks I have been suffering from panic attacks, dizziness, uncontrollable hunger, constant thirst, tingling in my lower arms and hands.
I've been on Yasmin for a year now and am just now noticing these potent symptoms. I was in a restaurant in a business meeting 2 weeks ago. I suddenly felt hot, sweaty and extremely dizzy. Scared me to death!!
I've since been to my doctor 2 x's this past week. She's prescribed Omnicef,Zithromax,Augmentin XR under the assumption I had a sinus infection or ear infection causing these symptoms.
I took my last pill of Yasmin 6 days ago for my new cycle, and coincidently called my OB/GYN and complained about how expensive Yasmin is. She switched me to Estrostep. Is Estrostep better, the same or worse than Yasmin?? I still feel like a bus hit me,head is light and dizzy, nervous, panic attacks have spread out but not left completely, and hunger has slowed down. Am I getting better? Do I still need to go back to the doctor? Can I be fixed? Do I need a supplement? I need to relax so I can mother my 2 children and function in my daily life. any suggestions?
I thank God I accidentally found this site. Although I don't think it WAS an accident....HE answers prayers in the most awesome ways.

I started yasmin a year ago, thought it was good, but i have felt so depressed and down and anxious, thought it was just me going mad, but i have always been such an upbeat person, lately i have had dizzy spells, this morning i thought i was going to pass out so i had to lay on the floor for ages, which scared my 3 and 4 year old boys, later that day i went to the pharmacy as i felt much better apart from a tigh feeling in my chest the pharmacist checked my blood pressure ( i couldn't get into my doctor as she was ill) anyway the pharmacist said my blood pressure was high, which i have never had before not even during pregnancy, he said i need to see a doctor, i stumbled on this site accidentally and i know i am going to go off yasmin for sure now, I am a healthy 32 year old who isn't overweigth i eat a good diet and have never been unhealthy so i can only think this is the only medicine i take, and i have never felt so crappy, thank you all for making me realise i am not going nuts

I was prescribed Meprozine after having my wisdom teeth pulled and I accidentally took two. After about fifteen minutes I started feeling very peculiar and suddenly....I was FLYING, literally flying. So the next day I got a doctor friend to write me an endless prescription of the stuff, sold my car, and now whenever I want to go somewhere I pop two capsules, put on a sweater and fly.

I don't mean to be disrespectful to those who have experienced severe side effects which they attribute to Lisinopril, but having reviewed them, I felt compelled to add my comments.
I am a 49-year-old male who has been taking 5 ml. of Lisinopril daily for nearly two years. I have never felt lethargic, even when I accidentally double-dosed myself. I have never had a dry cough, even though I have smoked for 30 years. I have mild occasional low back pain which is resolved through massage, stretching and occasional chiropractic treatment, and it has not worsened since I began taking the drug.
I have, however, noticed that my physical responses to stress and anxiety (flushing, sweating, etc.) are greatly reduced since I started on this drug, which leads me to believe it has had the desired effect of preventing an elevation of blood pressure during times of physical and emotional exertion.
Obviously, the drug is not for everyone, but for me it has been a great help without any negative side effects.

HI everyone well I was on Effexor XR for about a year and a half for GAD and depression and it might have helped out a little with the anxiety but I was late for school all the time because it put me in such deep sleeps that I could not wake up to my alarm and I frequently felt tired all day. Also there was sexual side effects. I rarely was able to have an orgasm. And if I accidentally missed a day or two I was a complete wreck. I would get dizzy and moody to the point where no one could talk to me without me either flipping out on them or just break down crying. I felt crazy! The worst was coming off of the pills though. My mother begged me to go back on them but eventually my head straightened out and I'm fine now, but still a little emotional and angry. I would recommend maybe to try something else besides this drug.

I have been on seroxat now for about three months after an unsuccessful stint with cipramill. I accidentally missed a dose, I was dizzy like my eyes were 4 seconds faster than my brain when I turned my head, ringing in my ears, couldnt sleep and sweated and incredible amount. It frightened me is this happening to other people or just me?

I was given Levaquin for a sinus infection in Nov. '02. On day 3 my left knee began to ache. I didn't get concerned because I had been going to the gym and working out on new equipment. On the 5th day at 2:30 AM, I woke up in extreme pain all over. All of my joints, from fingers to toes, had locked up and were screaming in pain. My husband had to carry me to the car and take me to the emergency room. They gave me 2 cortizone shots over the next 4 hours and finally I could move well enough to walk, with help.

Prednisone helps, but about 3 weeks after I stop taking a series of Prednisone, it all comes back like the first time. I am being tested for every conceivable autoimmune disease, because the 2nd rheumatologist my family doctor sent me to, is convinced that the Levaquin triggered a severe autoimmune problem. (The 1st one just shook her head in frustration and gave up)

It's been 7 months and the problems are still as agravating as when they began. I won't give up hope that there is a way to get well. Thank God I have insurance.

I've had my pharmacist put a flag on my account that will keep me from accidentally getting any drug related to Levaquin. There are several closely related drugs with different names-same ingredients.
