My son is 10 years old and has been on 5 mg. singulair for 3 years. He has been getting frequent headaches, and is in the bathtub right now screaming with one! Also alot of depression.I just came upon this website accidently ,by searching the internet for what might be causing such headaches in a child. I was shocked at all of these symptoms! I am not going to give him any more singulair. But what is everyone doing to replace it and deal with their kids asthma problems? My son has had so may behavioral issues and being so unreasonable and always thinks were picking on him.To extremes! Very hars to deal with, constantly! TC

I am a 34 year old female who was accidentally given Lipitor by my pharmacist instead of my regular Rx. I unknowingly took Lipitor for almost a month and had terrible side effects. I experienced dizziness, nausea, lower back pain, forgetfulness, clumsiness, hot flashes, and night sweats. Thought I was prematurely going through menopause. All I can say is Lipitor is a horrible drug and I have no idea what long term effects it will have on my health since I did not have high cholesterol. I stopped taking Lipitor 4 days ago when I realized I was taking the wrong drug. I'm still having some dizziness and bad lower back pain.

I was given Bactrim after a laser procedure to my face. For the first seven days, my only symptom was a very red face which I unknowingly attributed to the laser procedure. On the eighth day, my face was very much improved in colour which I later realised was because I had accidently missed two doses of Bactrim. When I recommenced with the Bactrim the next morning, within a few hours my face was intensely itchy and red and I broke out in a rash all over my torso. At this point I became concerned and did some internet research, only to realise my symptoms were all Bactrim related. Apparently sulfite allergies are relatively common amongst the population, and I now know why I get a flushed face when I drink beer or wine.

I'm a 55 yo male, that has been taking Vytorin for 6 yrs. A year ago I was diagnosed with Fybromyalgia, at a very large research hospital in St. Louis.
I entered a drug study, but after 4mos had to leave due to a neccessary surgery. I was able to find out, what the medicine was, and contimued taking it. It was Cymbalta. It provided about a 75% reduction in my symtoms, which were: Major muscle pain, throughout my body, fatique, constipation-diarrehea, memory loss(Fybro Fog), erectile dysfunction, body temp, always hot, with sweating, and just feeling tired and crappy 24/7. I accidently came across this site, about 2 wekks ago, and began reading these and other testamonials, and started thinking, maybe it's not Fibrom, but the Vytorin. So I quit taking it. My symtoms have dramatically decreased, almost by 90%. I hadn't told my Doc, so I'll be doing that this week. And run some blood tests to see what my numbers are doing. But I am convinced, Vytorin has something to do with my condition.

I started taking Lisinopril for my bp about 2 1/2 months ago and even though it did lower my bp, I started having strange side-effects. It started out with drowsiness throughout the day, no matter how much sleep I got. And, waking up feeling drowsy even after 8-10 hours of sleep. Then, I started getting strange aches and pains throughout my body, like I was getting over a stomach flu. My asthma also flared up and I started having to use my inhaler for the first time in almost 15 years (usually I just need it after exercise.) The side-effects continued to get worse over the next months with increased fatigue, drowsiness, coughing, anxiety, muscle aches, poor concentration, feeling like my nerves were "shot," headache, weakness, tightness in my lungs, numbness in my hands and feet, and just plain feeling bad.
I made an appointment to see my doctor because I thought there was something seriously wrong with me. It crossed my mind that I might be feeling this way because of the Lisinopril. I stumbled across this website and after reading everyone's testimonials, I decided to stop the Lisinopril. I haven't taken it in 3 1/2 days, and I am already feeling much better. I would rather try a more holistic approach to lowering my bp then taking Lisinopril.
I hope this helps someone else out there who might be going through the same thing.

Stopping this will make you feel SO BAD and it never even occured to me.

I have had the worst diahrrea with ultracet. It is a wonder I haven't accidently killed myself with this. I'd get the diahrrea and take an OTC remedy for it while not realizing the diahrrea was from the ultracet. I'd sleep for about 3 hours at a time, wake up for 30 minutes, and struggle to go back to sleep. I was wondering why it did nothing for my pain and then found out it is an opiate derivative. I'm one of those not susceptible to opiates for pain relief. However, when given an opiate I do hallucinate. No wonder I was seeing spiders. I'm going to ride out the withdrawal and see what happens. Wish me luck.

I started lipitor 10mg about 3 years ago, then went to 20 mg. I began having knee pain, hip pain and low back pain. Doctors said it was arthritis, put me on celebrex, but nothing worked. I was put on 40 mg lipitor about 6 mths ago, then began to have dizzy spells, low back pain so bad I cannot walk unless I am on walker or pushing shopping cart in store. No one believes I am in the pain I have. I am now having so much pain I can hardly get out of bed and taking a shower is the hardest part of my day. I also had a heart attack about 3 months ago. HELP I knew nothing of the side effects of lipitor until today when I accidently happened upon this web site. I plan to quit taking lipitor today. Even if it ends my life I will be out of pain

I've been taking levoxyl for 21/2 months. Initially my TSH was 4.1 but I was pregnant so my Dr said she wanted to put me on meds to bring the level down. It worked to bring the level down to 1.2 within 3 weeks. Unfortunately I miscarried, but the Dr. said to stay on it. Since then I've experienced hair loss, anxiety, insomnia and extreme vaginal dryness. I thought it was a hormonal imbalance until I accidently left my meds at home on a 3 day vacation. All of my symptoms went away by the 3rd. day. So I'm a little suspicious! My doctor dais to go off it and they'll re check my TSH in 3 weeks. Lets pray it stays down because I don't want to ever be on that drug again!!

i was prescribed cipro on may 9th, 2008. It is now September 27th 2008. i have not had a really good day between these dates. have been hospitalized. lost lots of body fluids. pain, weakness, depression, emotional problems,no appetite, no energy, agitated constantly, lost 15 lbs.,so far. have seen specialists because i have diminished eye sight and hearing loss. no patience with family. i haven't moved my bowels on my own since first dose. have to take laxatives every week to empty my bowels. i live with full body pain and stiffness every single day, all day. lost interest in my life. i am forgetting the happy, active strong, energetic positive 48 yr old woman I used to be. i know it's the cipro that's killing me. i think my dr. believes me. the other dr.s think i should either that's where I discovered what was hurting me so badly]. I looked up cipro on the computer after i saw a warning about taking cipro and found the truth of why i was so sick. accidentally found out. no symptoms, no pain. Most doctors don't want to believe me. I've told several drs., nurses, and anybody who would listen. I'd tell you more but I can't remember right now. cipro stole my memory too. May God be with us. Betty M.
