i started taking seroquel about 2 years ago, and with being steadily increased in the dosage i have gaine 100 pounds, and i cannot lose anything. I have tried every diet out there, besides surgery. I am afraid to go off them because i have insomnia and deppression, and anxiety soo bad that i can never sleep. and now in reading other persons' effects i am starting to wonder if all my other problems are an affect of this medicine. I take 800 mg. a night just so i can sleep 7-8 hours. How crazy is that??? i am so afraid...

I have been on Zoloft for two and a half weeks, and in a constant mental struggle with the fact of being on psych medication (one minute I'm going to stop taking it, the next I'm giving it another week). Have seen few benefits, although early in the course of usage. One benefit is I'm tiring out earlier at night and getting good sleep. Another is probably a placebo effect of feeling a little more calm and less tempermental. But the negative side effects have been a minor sexual problem in finding great difficulty achieving climax. The worst side effect (assuming it is a side effect of the drug), is urinary incontinence, especially at night. I wake up with urgent bladder pain only to release a small amount of urine with almost no force behind it. This is followed by several daily episodes similar in nature and lately a mild pain in my lower left abdomen. I am visiting the doctor today in hopes of determining the cause of this, but it seems too coincidental to not be related to the Zoloft. I'm stopping cold turkey today.

YES YES AND YES, I HAVE A BUNCH OF THESE SYMPTOMS. RATHER THAN ADDING YET ANOTHER SAGA AND PILLIORING THE DRUG AND ITS EFFECTS ON ME
HEREIN ARE A FEW THOUGHTS
1. There seem to be several groups of "Lipitor Sufferers" (LS) People who have taken it for Short Term versus and Long Term Takers.
2. One group of people appear to have reversals of symptoms or similar following ceasation of the drug taking, whilst another group seem to appear stuck with the symptoms.
3. NO-ONE SEEMS TO BE OFFERING A TREATMENT FOR ACHIEVING A REVERSAL OF THE EFFECTS OF THE LIPITOR.
Several People Are Asking.
4. this space is vacant because there seems far too many questions to add in to this debate.
I ask if I am to stop taking this drug, what is the best way in which to cease? And what is the manner or modality of action of this drug in order to take the optimum supplemennt or the like to try to achieve the best I can NOW.
So in a nutshell... WHat can I/we do to help ourselves Now?

Started Lamictal after a suicide attempt. Thinking this drug would help, I took the medication with anticipation. I have been taking it for 2 1/2 years, and starting having night terrors, weight gain, exhaustion, don't have the drive I used to, and now it is affecting my sexual behavior (and not in a good way). I used to come home from work, and want to work in my yard and be proud of what I accomplished. However, within the past 3 or so months, I've almost given up. Beings I'm best known for my ambition, and attention to details, (probably on the anal side) I have been told that I have changed. I have had memory laps, trouble focusing at work, feeling as though I am inferior to others, and trouble with the driving aspect also. Sometimes I'll forget where I'm going, and take the exact opposite turns than I should. Although my income just meets my billings, and my credit score is excellent, I am having trouble keeping track of when they should be paid, even though I put them on my calendar. I do find my credit score is falling, and fast. I am seeing my MD, and the psycho-therapist on a regular basis. I am weaning off this medication, but have only been doing this for 1 week. I can't wait til the end of all this depression and still don't understand why they mark me as a bio-polar person. Also, I have never experienced seizures. I wish all of us luck and patience in our endeavors. Let's all think of each other, and thanks for letting me know that I am not alone.
