There is a class action lawsuit for anyone that took Yaz/Yasmin birth control. I just saw the commercial the other day from an attorney in Denver and it's nationwide. Please call Nolan Law Group - Valerie Romo at 888-630-9340. They are handling it nationwide.

Hi everyone:

I tried two 6 month bouts with Yasmin and have had terrible side effects both times. The most recent being diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. I strongly encourage everyone to listen to your bodies - if something doesn't seem right, persists, and no other explanation is available, I would strongly recommend to stop Yasmin immediately! There are a variety of other birth control pills available. I seem to not tolerate certain progestin formulations, which vary from pill to pill. You can google BCP and hormones and self educate yourself until you find a pill which works for you. I am currently looking into filing an FDA complaint for this pill. In doing so I also noted that it is currently being investigated for causing acute pancreatitis!

One more comment, I've seen in this search and others people complaining about losing feeling on one side of your body and/or muscle cramping in the legs. These symptoms can be very serious (blood clot/stroke) and you should see a doctor immediately!

If you are taking Yasmin for the first time, make sure you have your blood work done before you take it and after 6 months do it again. Watch your triglycerides level. That's what went wrong with me. My doctor told me my case was extremely rare but you won't find anything about triglycerides level on any kind of literature Yasmin has put out there. Be really careful with that. Acute pancreatitis could be fatal.

I'm still looking for someone who can help me with a class action lawsuit. If anyone knows anything about it, please contact me. Thanks.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a class action lawsuit against Yasmin.

I started taking Yasmin last October and the first three months I was on it, I was bleeding every day. It was the first time I ever got on a birth control pill. I stayed on the pill for a total of 6 months until one night I suddenly had severe abdominal pain along with nausea. It went bad from worse and I was rushed into emergency room later that day.

My diagnosis was acute pancreatitis due to high level of triglycerides. The doctors ran a series of tests, blood, ultrasound, CAT scan, and X-ray, etc. Their conclusion was Yasmin caused the dramatic increase of my triglycerides, and ultimately caused my acute pancreatitis.

My triglycerides level was below 200 before I started taking Yasmin and by May this year when I was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis, my triglycerides was over 4,300!

After spending 3 weeks in hospital for pain control and being off food and water for a total of 2 weeks, I was able to go home and get on with my life. My doctor told me I should never take any form of birth control pills nor any kind of hormone. I stopped taking Yasmin since the day I was admitted.

If anyone knows of a lawsuit or a lawyer that is working on a case against Yasmin, please let me know.

I have been on 20 mgs Lisinpril for about a year. The most notable side effect I had was ACUTE PANCREATITIS, for which I spent several days in ICU in extreme pain. I only hope nothing permanent was done to my pancreas. Now I only take Atenolnol for my hypertension which seems to do the trick by itself.

My father-in-law passed away 9 days after being diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and about 3 weeks after he began taking Lisinopril. He was in relative good health for a 77 year old with no history of alcohol abuse (leading cause of pancreatitis). I have been searching online and have found several medical publications discussing the link between Lisinopril and pancreatitis. While extremely rare, it does seem that there is a causative effect from taking Lisinopril and the development of acute pancreatitis. I firmly believe that he would still be among us had he not been prescribed Lisinopril.

I really think that the FDA needs to re-write the standard list of side-effects and precautions of prednisone. From what I've seen here, the listed rare side-effects are not rare at all!!
It never ceases to amaze me how much goes unreported to our government agencies.

Prednisone side-effects;

Most Frequent:
Hypersecretory Conditions, Increased Appetite, Infection, Insomnia, Nervousness

Less Frequent:
Cushing's Syndrome, Diabetes Mellitus, Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage, Irregular Menstrual Periods, Osteoporosis
