Adams apple symptoms and conditions

I'm a 44 yr old male and was prescribed Lisonopril for high blood psi prevention. I do not have high BP currently.
The first month I developed what I thought was a cold. Headache, bad cough,weezing lots of mucus. It was bad enough to get anti biotics from my doctor. The cold symptoms never got better, I saw a allergist and had all test done for every allergy. He gave me a breathing machine to take home as my lungs were full and I could not breath correctly. Night time was the worst, coughing started once I layed down, sometimes choking on the mucus. I noticed my sex drive was way down, I have always had a very healthy sex drive and this was distressing. I was always tired, depressed, irritable. My hair began to get dried out and dead feeling, I thought it was my shampoo or something. My mouth was so dry I began carrying a water bottle around with me. I have rashes on both legs that itch severely. I remember saying to my wife, I feel really sick, like all around bad. Something is wrong. I never get colds, I have perfect numbers cholesterol is 166. I know when something is wrong. I ran out of pills before the weekend and did not take any for 4 days. I began to feel less sick and could breath. I took my first pill in the 4 days and that night was feeling ill again. I looked up side effects that night and was shocked. I trusted my doctor, never thought this little pill was responsible for all this pain. 3 months of lost productivity. It been just one day off the pills, I can only hope I return to normal.

Hello to all again. Wow that last post I have so much that is on there. I have had so many blood tests that come back normal, xrays and everything ekg, brain scan, abdominal scan. And, now I have started oo just feel like passing out all day everyday, I just had to go have a balance test done. At least they called back and I can get this out on the 4th of February. I just really hope that taking this mirena helps. I cannot believe the side effects everyone is having. Please pray for me as I will for you. I would hate for any of you to feel as absolutely shitty as I do and have for about the last 6 months. I have been scared like I am going to die, with all of the things happening and top it of with anxiety and throw a panic attack in, you have me. Please everyone keep writing, I read anxiously all day seeing what symptoms you all have too. These are mine in entirety
*Dizziness (constant)
*Anxiety
*Panic Attack
*Tingling in arms and legs, mostly left arm
*Eye Pain (spots and blurred vision)
*Abdominal Pain to left and right of belly button
*Constipation
*My throat hurts, not sore throat, the Adams apple
*Faintness all day long
*Weight Loss ( I know, different but I have lost like 15 lbs)
*Chest pain all day mostly in left breast
*Back pain
Seriously, I can barely function anymore. This SUCKS!!!

I'm a healthy 46 year old female, went to the Dr. a few months back because my Asthma acted up (hadn't had problems with it for years). Took Advair and it really worked... but I've had many of the same symptoms I've read about on this site. Leg cramps, itchy skin, throat problems... all have gone since I stopped taking Advair except the throat. It feels like I've swallowed a marble and it's stuck in my adams apple... and I get hoarse fast. Anyone know what I can do to stop this?

hello, was on lisinopril for about the first 3 weeks of 2007 and had bad stomach problems and could not uriniate, felt like my bladder was full. i thought i had prostrate problems, went back to doc, said it was probably a urinary infection. gave me cipro and said it would clear up in a couple of days, got worse. found this site on jan 20 and quit taking lisinopril that day. after 3-4 days i could uriniate again. doc then gave me atenolol and took it for about 10 days, have had a wierd kind of sore throat and sore around adams apple, feels like something hung in my throat and my appitite is nothing like it used to be, not hungry, and not sleeping worth a darn. anybody know how long these side effects last. driving me and my wife crazy. also hoarseness in throat and voice. i sure am glad to find this site. tommy p.s, am sure symptoms were before taking atenolol.

I can't believe there is a sight for this. For the past year I have been taking Lisinopril. And as of the last 5 months I have become very tired and unmotivted. I get dizzy once in a while and also find it hard to breathe. There seems to be tightening just below my adams apple. I'm going to discontinue the drug and seek another doctor.
