my bf had an asthma attack and was given a iv injection of solumedrol at the emergency. when we got home he slept for 3 hours then got up in a bad mood. my daughters boyfriend started some arguing with him and my boyfriend was violent. we have lived together for 4 years and NEVER has he even raised his voice. he was irrational and very, very loud. this drug made him very angry and hyper. he said he felt like his adrenalin was through the roof. after work he came home and was calmer but his eyes were bothering him. (all day they bothered him) i will not let him take this injection again. this guy could drink a bottle of tequila and not be loud or violent. he is a very calm man. the hospital said he would have no side effects to really speak of. it took all i had to try to calm him. he also had 5 doses of albuterol inhalation and 3 doses of ipratroprium brom inhaled. could be combo of all, i don't know. but never again solu-medrol

hi kim123,
i am sure it is a symptom of your anxiety levels. the excess adrenalin circulating in your system causes muscles to twitch, tense and shake and tingle just like they would if you were in real danger (although you are not your body thinks you are because of the constant high anxiety state) i used to have twitching in my legs, they would jump and shake all the time. i also used to get tingling and numbness in my face. how is it going with the lexapro? is it helping you at all?

hi, i had recurrent sore throats for about 5 months after i stopped taking yasmin. i also had a tight feeling in my chest as well as constant ear congestion.i still have the blocked ear. someone posted here a while back about bcp being odotoxic ie toxic to the ear. i ceratinly felt down and depressed and suffered major anxiety. my nails broke constantly and my hair started to fall out. also my sking became spotty and greasy. thankfully all these things are going away now,i have been off yasmine since june. i have also read that the pill can effect your adrenal glands,in fact it does state in the warning not to take if you are suffering from adrenal fatigue. i think that that has something to do with the anxiety that a lot of women feel,i think the adrenals are over stimulated which in turn causes a constant feeling of panic and doom. i hope that will help you a little.
hi kim123.
i really feel for you, i just want to be a ble to help you as it is terrible to read that you feel so bad. it is possible that you have now got an anxiety disorder caused by the trauma you have suffered,i am sure that is what i was left with once the effects of the yasmin lessened. look up anxiety/panic disorder. i am sure you will find many of your symptoms. don't panic it does not mean you are crazy or anything like that. it just means that you have learnt a new behaviour that your body automatically responds to.ie it acts innapropriately by giving you a huge rush of adrenalin when it is not needed.this then leads to palpitations, agitation, panic feelings, blurred vision, ringing in the ears etc etc. i bought a really good programme by charles linden that had quite a few good tips in it and also an ebook called panic away by joe barry. both these books helped me to fight back. i could not even leave my house this time last year. in july this year i went on holiday to spain and have been out and about ever since.that is something i never thought i would do again.i thought i was going to be a shut in for the rest of my life. if you are really struggling it may be an idea to go and see your doctor and see if they can help you or suggest something else. i know some doctors can be very sympathetic.mine weren't so i found my own solutions but each doctor is different.
good luck to you kim123.i really hope you start to see the light soon.

Incredible weakness, back pain, tinnitus.
During surgery for sinus disease, had levaquin administered through iv with general anesthesia. I was supposed to go home in the afternoon, but couldn't walk or even talk coherently. Intense back pain followed along with difficulty hearing and pains in shoulders as well. My tongue was thickened and I had trouble talking for three days. Today I saw the doctor and he feels that leviquin caused the problems. The back pain and speech problems are slowly disappearing. This drug is dangerous to anyone who is sensitive or allergic to medications. I once went into shock from three compazine tablets, and had to have adrenalin administered, so I know how very powerful medications can be.

Hi. It seems rather obvious that ambien causes dizziness, personality changse- anxiety, anxiousness, memory issues..a sort of brain fog and in many occasions depression. Let's be proactive- this med causes brain dysfunction that may be able to be corrected- the question is how? To start, the seratonin levels, cortisol and adrenalin levels need to return to normal..wean yourself off and never go on again. Who knows about herb. homeopathics that have shown promise on mood amd memory?

I have been on a Prednisone taper just under a week for Bronchitis. I was due to get my period during this time but didn't (not pregnant). Has anyone else had this side effect?
