Has anyone experienced hives with Mirena? I had it put in about 7 weeks ago and now I seem to have broken out in hives on my arm. I have not experienced any other significant side effects so far.

I am a 37 year old female ~185lbs already under treatment for clinical depression with two medications. I used to take Alavert (loratidine) for seasonal allergies but found it had "stopped working" well for me. Since Zyrtec (certirizine) went over-the-counter, I decided to try it.
I took it sporadically at 10mg daily for a period of 2-3 weeks, and then, during a particularly bad allergic exacerbation, began to take it consistently at 10mg daily. My depression, which was previous well-controlled on medication, worsened to the point of severity. Extreme despair, emotional detachment, and loss of interest in pleasurable activities--well, in ANY activity beyond sleep.
I am a pharmacist, and on a whim, I decided to do some research into interactions with my other medications, and found several anecdotal reports of depression onset and worsening in Zyrtec users. This particular side effect of Zyrtec was unknown to me, nor have I received any educational materials or reports in my trade literature listing depression as a possible adverse effect.
I have discontinued the medication in both myself and my three year old daughter (5mg daily). I can already see a difference in her disposition, and I am starting to crawl out of my pit of gloom. I'm using Alavert again, as I never had one issue with it, and I'm supplementing with Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at night as needed for exacerbations.

I took one pill and fifteen min. later I started having a pain in my stomach. I thought, well maybe I didn't eat and drink enough, so I drank another glass of water even though I'd eaten a good size meal before taking med. Five min. later the pain switched from stomach to chest and back pains, but mostly in my chest. Also, my finger nail beds turned blue and I could not get warm and had chills. My heart did not seem to be racing and was steady, though I did get a mild head ache. At the peak of the pains it radiated up my neck and lower jaw, and no matter how I lay I could not make it go away.
I experienced a sudden feeling of overwhelming exhaustion during the whole ordeal. Symptoms persisted for a few hours, didn't stop until shivers had passed and by then I had a temperature of 100.7 when I previously had none whatsoever. I think about 96.6 was my average before that. The next day I was extremely tired and unaccountably restless.
The only other med I had been taking was a 24 hr. Alavert that dissolved on the tongue... it didn't even have a decongestant in it. CVS lady said there was no reason I couldn't take it along side the Guaifenex. Now I'm not sure what to believe. It scared me enough that I don't think I would ever risk taking it ever again.

Hi I am 31, have been put on prednisone for a pinched nerve in my shoulder blade. Iv taken two pills of 10 mil. For two days. one pill a day for two days. I'm stopping now. I feel so tired weak and unable to exercise. My chest is so heavy and heart flutters. I'm a smoker so it seems worse after a cigarette. I also have a few glasses of wine a day. I'm so frightened at these feelings. My tummy is now bigger in just that short of time. I really wish I knew all this first. Can any one tell me how long before I'm normal from the short usage. Please this really sucks and very scary. Also the smoking and alcohol how does it effect this? Please
