Allegies symptoms and conditions

Had a steroid shot combo of Kenalog and something else for allergies about 3 years ago. Didn't make the association then about the deep indentations on my upper buttocks and the shot I had in that same area a few month earlier until I found this website. I just had another Kenalog shot (in my arm) for allergies about 5 weeks ago. Since then I've had two periods the second of which is dragging on and on. I was a bit panicked until I searched and found this website and another and found others who had the same symptoms. I called my primary doctor and they had no idea of this side effect. He said to come in for a follow up if my symptoms continue. Meanwhile, it is really stressing me out due to a family history of cancer. ******

I took Zyrtec for a few years for severe mold and pollen allergies. I loved the drug as it controlled my allergies much better than Allegra or Claritin. However, I recently stopped taking it after realizing it was causing dizzy spells, drowsiness/constant tiredness and heart flutters. Since I stopped taking it I have lost 6 pounds without making any alterations to my diet and exercising less than normal. This leads me to believe that my weight gain of 30 pounds in the last few years was also part of zyrtec's side effects.

my then 2 year old daughter began to take Zyrtec in sept 06 for allergies. she began to STUTTER in November 06. she has gotten worse over time. she also has experienced vaginal irritation for about the same amount of time
( 1 1/2 years) i have had her tested by a gyn and everything came back normal. her stuttering got worse when the doctor upped her dose. so bad that she can not complete a sentence. i took her off of it 1 week ago and we have seen mild improvement and Withdrawal (crying,itching,sleeplessness) has anyone else experienced this? please help us!

Hang in there! The good part is you only took three doses, right? I took seven, some people who posted here had taken this drug for 3 or more WEEKS, we all seem to have a different combination of side effects or reation to this drug, my main complaint was a horrible itch rash that was like posion ivy times 10, also i had some tightning sensations of the calf muscles which i am still having on and off, along with itchy dry skin and still a little rash flare up. I took my last dose of this drug a month ago. I itched so bad in the worst grip of this drug that i conteplated suicide just so it would STOP itching. Conteplating suicide is really out of character for me. I think this drug messed with my mind. The cortisone shot i was given to treat the rash ONLY made things worse.So I refused another one and I refused to take prednisone. I have improved a little eveyday. Oatmeal soap and oatmeal lotion helped the itch skin and benadryl cream was a little help for the rashs, I also was presrcibed hydroxyzine which didn't rally help me. I have so many drug allegies already and have never taken levaquin. I don't think I should have been precribed this drug. This should truely be a last resort drug for people who haven't reponded to anything else and who are practically on thier deathbed. I, for one will NEVER take this drug again. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER, I am about to float my eyeballs! This has helped to flush this toxin out of my body. Good luck to any and all reading this post. had a kenalog 40mg, 2 cc for my bad allegies. No menstruation since my shot. Not complaning, but I got rid of the sinus infections!
