50 year old male, prescribed Singulair 8 months ago to assist with allergy problems while taken allergy shot treatments. About 2 weeks ago started experiencing numbness/tingling in right foot, then both feet, the spreading up the body to above the waist. The best way to describe the sensation is a combination of the feeling you get when you hit your funny bone and the sensation when you sit or lay in a position that puts one of your limbs to sleep. Had all the blood work tests done at Dr. office to verify no other issues, all blood work is normal, Dr. suggested could be a neuorlogy problem and more tests will be necessary. Receive routine Chiropractic treatments and had him check everything, including new x-rays, nothing there. Read the side effects again for Singulair and realized that this numbness/tingling is just one of the symptoms I have had since starting this drug. The others being unusual weakness, tiredness, which I thought was just part of getting older and severe sinus inflammation, which I had thought was just related to my allergies. Have contacted my allergy doctor that put me on this and he said to stop taking Singulair to see if my side effects go away, since I am near the end of the time that he expected me to take them for anyway.
I will repost after a few weeks or as soon as the side effects go away.

I experienced a severe itchy rash on the hands, arms and back, while taking Lisinopril. Also had strong stomach pains. Was taken off for awhile, given allergy shot and Prednisone pills for two weeks. Hivey looking red rash disapeared, also itching and stomach pain stopped. Told to restart Lisinopril five days ago. Itching and pains began again. Wondering how quick does Lisinopril take to start working, and how long it remains in the syatem when stopped. Stoped Lisinopril this morning and contacted doctor for further advice. Awaiting for a call back.

I believe I must be the exception to the rule for Kenalog. I have been receiving Kenalog injections for allergies and talk about wonders. It has been such a relief to my body. After about 2-3 days, I don't have any symptoms of having allergies. My allergies are really bad and no over the counter or prescription medications seem to relieve the symptoms I have. I have had absolutely no side effects and they last for a really long time. This is my 2nd allergy shot this year and it's September. I will take the shot anyday over taking medications everyday that don't give relief.

I started taking Levaquin for 14 days for a culture they did of my nose which indicated a bacteria. After taking for eight days, I began shuffling my feet and could hardly walk. At work I walked very slow, which is not normal for me and I could not bend down. My kees and ankles hurt so bad I could hardly stand it. I asked the nurse about it when I went in for my allergy shot, as I thought it was the shot. She said no it was not the shot but the antiobiotic. I ignored the fact as I had never heard of that happening and the side effects weren't listed from the pharmacy receipt. I took Ascription and Ultram at the same time it hurt so bad.
I still have infection and called the Dr's office again and they gave me the same thing. When I went to pick it up, I asked to talk to the pharmacist and told him about the side effects I experience and he said they don't give the medication to anyone under 18 years of age because of tendon and ligament damage. He told me to take it easy while I am on it. I've decided I'm not taking it. I'll have to risk my infection.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who has experienced this - not that I want others to experience it, but you know what I mean, it is nice to have some answers!!! I went in to get an allergy shot for my horrible allergies about eight months ago - I have had one done previously a couple years ago, with no problems, and this second one seemed fine too. My allergies are so much better, i can breathe and am not sneezing constantly, etc. However, about a month ago, I noticed this small indentation in my left buttock cheek - I wondered what on earth it could be (cellulite, weight gain/loss from going to the gym I started going to, who knew?) It got bigger and hasn't gone away over these past few weeks, instead getting larger and my skin becoming ever whiter than I already am and the area is sensitive. I had no idea what it was until I stumbled onto this site - I now realize that indentation is the same spot where I received my allergy shot eight months ago!!! I checked my online medical record and sure enough, Tricyclamide Kenalog injection! NOBODY told me that this indentation/muscle atrophy at the injection site was a possible side effect! They warned me about allergic reactions, drug interactions, buildup of steroids in the system, etc, but absolutely nothing about this awful indentation - it is sensitive and unattractive and I really, really hope it goes away or at least shrinks. Not that I am super vain, but it's not all that cute to have a big "hole" in your cheek, especially when that was one of my body areas I actually felt okay about. Just be forewarned allergy sufferers - just because you haven't had a reaction the first time you get the shot, it could happen the second or third or fortieth time. I wish someone had said something about this, so at least I would have been able to make a more educated decision and choose whether to suffer through a few months of allergies or a lifetime butt indentation!
