Anger frustration symptoms and conditions

my 6yr old daughter was put on singulair at the age of 4 she had a reaction to nuts and had the allergy testing she was put on singulair and claritin and nasacort .(so she has been on the medication now for 14 months) about 3and 1/2 weeks ago she quit eating we had her to the dr several times they said it was all in her head that she could eat if she wanted to.she was then put in the hospital for 4 days they did the scope down the stomach found nothing i took her off all her meds because i didn't want her taking them with no food in her. she came home from the hospital and i put her back on the meds as the doctor requested and within 2 days she was crying non stop hitting me and telling me that she wanted to kill herself and everyone around her.she was putting her fists in everyines face and was very angry.she would cry and tell us that she didn't know why she was so angry.we took her back off of the meds because we were treating her for the stomach acid from not eating and within 4 days she was like a new kid.she is now eating ..happy ..and doing good in school..this is the 3rd time this yr on this med that she has quit eating we were told that it was all in her head .after reading everyones comments on here i called her doctor today and he said it could be the medication but they would have to put her back on it to check and i refused.no more singulair or clairitin for my children

This is in answer to concernedcitizen. My son, when he began to have behavior issues, was placed on Tegretol, Wellbutrin, and Abilify. He could not tolerate the Tegretol. So he stopped that. His "depression" seemed better so they took him off the Wellbutrin, he continues to be on the Abilify. We tried to take him off of that once, it wasn't pretty. His anger, frustration, rage, crying, depression, etc all came back....of course he was still taking the Singulair. (little did we know then....) We see his neurologist very soon. I am going to ask about trying again to remove the Abilify. My son is 7. He was started on these meds 4 months after having surgery to remove a cyst in his brain....we thought all the problems were just who he had become after having brain surgery. It was very depressing. I read all of your research with great interest. I had thought it had to be a something in the brain being triggered. My son had a tendency toward these things due to the location of his cyst....we had the "luxury" of knowing he would have behavior problems. So did his doctors.... Now with all the research it would seem someone like my son, who has a cyst in the left temporal lobe (a region that controls behavior) should not have EVER been placed on a medicine like Singulair. At the very least, he should have been taken off that medicine, before being placed on anti-psychotics. Good Grief. Thanks again for all your work. I will be taking some of the literature with me to the Dr. As I am sure others on this board will.
By the way - My son has been off Singulair for 10 days now. He is a very happy boy. Downright giddy. He is annoying his sister to no end. Dad and I are enjoying every blissful minute.

I'm five months postpartum and quit the mini-pill a few days ago and started NuvaRing as soon as the bleeding started (yesterday morning). I have never felt so aggressive in my life! Perhaps it the combination of getting off one BC method and onto another, but this is awful! I feel angry toward my baby and my husband. Do I need a break or a new BC? Before I got pregnant, the pill made me feel even worse, crying all the time. Now I just feel volatile and mean.

I am currently taking 150mg of Z. I have suffered with depression, anxiety and OCD since 1994. I have been on Celexa, Paxil, Wellbutrin, Effexor XR, Lexapro and Zoloft. The first few months on Z, I thought I felt better. No anger, frustration, suicidal feelings and it was easier to face each new day.
However now it seems that I am chasing that feeling. Even with the increases I feel like all the symptoms are returning. The one difference with Z than any of the others is the decreased/non-existent libido. I am so indifferent to this since I am not interested in anything, but it does cause more tension and guilt for me. My family and friends are understanding but I know it is difficult for them to. Maybe at the lower doses it is the miracle that some people need, but it is not my savior. K
