my insertion was so bad i literally almost kicked the doctor as an instant reaction and yelled a cuss word... i had a c section delivery so pain full doesn't even describe that pain it was unbearable.. but the cramping starting the moment after insertion to about a month ago was i think worse then the c section pain id be at work almost on the floor in a ball crying in pain and the doctor said take Tylenol it will go away and nevvvvver did... i still get random cramps and sharp pains

i never had bv until i was pregnant during the pregnancy i had it one time and thought it was gone... after i got the mirena put in ive have 4 cases of bv this is November., and 3 uti's.. i got the mirena in march i believe... that is not good for my body to be on antibiotics like that ... lately ive been having terrrrrible pain when i pee like above my pubic bone.. my first thought was a uti ... went to er hoping to get an antibiotic once again... blood urine ctscan everything was normal... er doctor said its probably my mirena and i should get it taken out... i called my obgyn and she insisted i keep it in and thats not the mirena giving me those pains!!! why are these doctors so against taking it out i mean i'll get on the pill i don't care i thought the mirena would be handy u know not worrying about missing a pilll!!! wellllll i wish would have never decided to get it in ive had painful sex , very emotional, pain in general, it terrible...

alssssso my boyfriend and i obviously do not use condoms bc the birth control... now we have to use them bc hes been having a burning sensation when he pees like so bad and painful to where his legs almost buckle ... he was talking to his best friend about it and he said hes experiencing the sammmmme thing and his girl is on mirena ... they've come to the conclusion theyyyy are having a reaction to the hormone released from the mirena and it makes complete sense i don't care condom or no condom it doesn't bother me... but its the fact ... he said he felt it at one point which the doctor said your boyfriend shouldn't feel a thing... sorry if thats tmi but while having sex i feel it bad and it ruins the mood for sex with me at least...

i didn't have a pd for roughly 3 months now its heavy and clotty... then the next day nothing then the next clotty again im soooooo sick of it thank god i stumbled across this sight in search if the reaction my man was having... but now i don't feel alone for all my problems ive been having!!!!

I WENT TO MY DOCTOR FOR AN EAR INFECTION. HE PRESCRIBED ME SOME ANTIBIOTICS LIKE USUAL AND THEN ADDED "PREDNISONE". THIS PILL IS THE WORST PILL EVER!! I WAS TAKING 40MGS A DAY AND BY THE 3RD DAY THE SIDE EFFECTS REALLY HIT ME. I FELT SO UNEASY SO NERVOUS AND VERY PANICKY(YEA I KNOW I CANT SPELL) N E WAYS. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING TO ME I THOUGHT I WAS GOING INSANE I COULDN'T KEEP MY THOUGHTS TOGETHER MY HEART WAS RACING, I EVEN BURST INTO TEARS THAT NIGHT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT MADE ME THINK TO READ ABOUT THE SIDE EFFECTS BUT AS SOON AS I DID I STOPPED TAKING THEM. I HAVE BEEN OFF THEM GOING ON 4 DAYS NOW AND IM BARELY GETTING BACK TO NORMAL. IM STILL A LITTLE ANXIOUS AND VERY TIRED THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND I DON'T EAT. I STILL CANT SLEEP THAT WELL BUT I GUESS I JUST HAVE TO RIDE IT OUT. IM NEVER GOING TO TAKE THAT DEMON DRUG EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE. ITS A HORRIBLE DRUG THAT CAN CHANGE A PERSON FOR THE WORST.

After going to the ER for abdominal pain, I was given a CT scan and told
I have Diverticulitis, my colon was inflamed and I had an infection.
They gave me Ciprofloxcin 500mg twice a day for 5 days. My body has never tolerated drugs very well and I'm allergic to most antibiotics, but the doctor insisted if I didn't take it, I would end up in the hospital with the possibility of having surgery to remove part of my colon. So I made myself tough it out. Fortunately, I didn't get any side effects that I couldn't handle, so I did the full 5 days. Unfortunately, after two days off the Cipro, I'm feeling ill. I'm nauseas, after eating or drinking, lightheaded and out of breadth, when I stand up, and have a burning sensation after urinating that lingers till I want to scream. My muscles ache and I feel depressed. I am a 58 year old woman, very active and I don't do well with being ill. I have another Dr. appointment later today to see if I may still have an infection.
I WILL NOT TAKE ANYMORE CIPRO!

I was a healthy 42 year old male who took Levaquin for a sinus infection. The same day as the Black Box Warning was issued; I was having my third tendon reattachment surgery. I have to wait at least 6 weeks before I can undergo yet a fourth tendon rupture reattachment. At least it takes my mind of the Achilles Tendinopathy, joint pains, headaches, uncontrolled muscle twitching etc. I consider myself one of the lucky ones since so far it has not affected my kidneys, liver, heart, eyes and other side effects that many are dealing with from this class of drugs. I would urge a real journalist to take the time and look at the real number of cases. The Fda numbers are misleading. The clinical data coming from other counties are showing much higher rates of tendon ruptures and other life threatening side effects.

My main problem with Lisinopril is the coughing. Coughing, coughing. coughing. I will be fine for 2 to 3 hours and then start with this awful cough. People will actually turn away from me if I am out shopping and a cough begins. I presume they believe it is contagious. Sometimes I end up vomiting and I cannot catch my breath. Coughing at night is really a problem because of lack of sleep. Doctors believe my cough is due to allergies because I have post nasal drip. However, none of the medications they have given me stop the coughing. I never had this problem until I began taking Lisinopril. Lisinopril is my first Blood Pressure medication.

My son has severe side effect after having Omnicef, prescribe by his doctor for his ear infection. He has bad mood, waking up several times during the night and crying; won't eat or drink, keep sitting on his grandma's laps all day...He also has reddish loose stools. I understand this medicine must be too harsh mentally and physically to my son, which I have never experienced with other anitbiotics. I will never allow the doctor to prescribe this medicine.

I was prescribed Sulfameth/trimethoprim for a UTI and Nystin powder for yeast infection. I am on my 6th day and to day I woke up with blood on the bed from my catherter. I am also on coumadin. These two meds do not work well together. My doctor said not to go to PT today, cut out the next three days of coumadin, and finish the anitbiotics. I also had severe nausea when Ifirst started on antibiotics. I was told to take them on a full stomach. This has worked for me.

More.. I forgot about the other side effects I had; the aching calves in my legs when trying to fall asleep, dry mouth with difficulty swallowing, tongue feeling funny, food and taste not right, light headiness, almost fainting when I reached to the ground to pick up something, makes me feel like I'm going to pass out when I stand upright. Will never take this damn stuff again. Besides what ever happen to the other anitbiotics. They cant make as much money.... you know the deal.

Let me first state that this is a great improvement over traditional, sulfer-based anitbiotics - fewer pills = less poison. And it works extremely quickly and thoroughly. SIDE EFFECTS: About two hours after I take the daily dose, I get a headache that feels like my eyes are being pushed on from the inside of my head - kind of like my brain is exploding. And I was warned by the pharmacist about light-headedness, but it really feels more like a mild dose of a bad drug from the '60's. Emphasis on "bad". Definitely don't go to the gym to lift weights while on Levaquin. I was teaching a Body Conditioning class yesterday and had to tell everyone to restore me to an upright condition if I fell over. When I went to the Levaquin info web site and looked up "Side Effects", I got quite a fright: everything from "Taste Perversions" (what does that mean? "Honey, these potatoes taste like Lime Jello!") to something called "Tournades de Pointes" (am I going to turn into some sort of gourmet Spanish entre?). Most of the side effects range from "mild to fatal". Somehow this doesn't give me confidence. HOWEVER - having said all that, I RECOMMEND this stuff, bizarre side effects notwithstanding.
