I have been taking prednisone for three years and I love it! It has helped me out with breathing problems and arthritis pain. I take a small does every day. And when I am without it I have trouble breathing and have painful arthritis pain. This drug has done wonders for me.

Started Singulair 5/14/09. Within last week or so started having extreme pain in shoulders, hands (especially thumbs), wrists and hips. Put ti down to arthritis. Pain has been getting worse every day. Thought it was a food allergy so stopped eating fruit and have cut out all sugar. Yesterday realized that pain has increased so it wasn't the food. It suddenly dawned on me that it could be the Singulair. Stopped taking it last night and am already much better. Still some pain but not so excruciating.

About a month before my Dr. gave me Advair. After a few days on it, I went to bed and thought I was having a heart attack. Pain across my back and down my arms, up my neck and across my chest. This happened 2 nights in a row and decided to stop taking it. Called my MD and he said to stop it immediately. However, he thought it really might be my heart so I had an echo cardiogram and stress test. They said my heart was perfect. After 2 days off the med had no more trouble..

My take is that these "air" drugs are not for me. My MD is on vacation and won't be back until Wed. I will speak with him then. Hopefully by then all paij will be gone. Will post again to report results of stopping Singulair. Reading all these posts also made me realize my depression, irritability and crying has probably been a result of this drug.

I was hospitalized with a severe kidney infection, later to be told it was e-coli. After several days of intravenous antibiotics along with prednisone in my IV to help manage terrific arthritis pain, I came home from the hospital with a prescription of levaquin, prednisone and something for my stomach that I could have gotten over the counter. I have progressively gotten sicker on my stomach, had severe attacks 3 to 5 times a day, headaches, extreme fatigue and weakness. Worst of all were the crazy thoughts when I woke up partly due to nightmares and partly to just not feeling myself and having a feeling of loss of control of all my emotions. I told my husband I believe I was going into a depression. After stumbling onto this site, I threw the 5 remaining levaquin in the trash and thank God that I found all the information I have today on this POISON. I agree with many that the side effects far outweigh any good this antibiotic has done for me. I continue to be very sick and weak. I just hope when I wake tomorrow this mess is out of my system for good.

All I can say is WOW! I did a search for Levoxyl side effects because in the 2 weeks since my dosage has gone up (200 mcg) I have had a constant headache and my entire body just aches, especially my hips, legs and knees. I have a hard time sleeping because I can't get my knees in a comfortable position. I do have arthritis which has not really bothered me in over a couple of years and this is not the same as my arthritis pain. It is more of an overall achiness and it feels like my bones are sore. I am also having eye twitching occasionally, but I am not sure if that has anything to do with it. What should I do?

The last few months Celebrex has quit working, and has been making me sick, flu like symptoms, and my arthritis pain has actually been worse. It is almost like the manufacturer has changed the product. I have been off of it for about a week and feel much better. I am now on about 8 aspirin a day taken with milk or food. I have R.A., so I am unsure what is going on.

I am 43 (female) and have been on Singulair for a couple of months now and the benefits have been AMAZING! I have chronic generalized eczema and pronounced facial flushing which led to swelling and Rosacea. Since starting Singulair (with a Zantac and Reactine) my skin is almost always cool (it's been YEARS). The benefits for me have been as great as what the steroids do for my skin. I can tolerate more triggers and the freedom and self-esteem boost is unquestionably life changing.

But recently I started to bruise, over every-little-thing -- even a blood pressure cup created a ring of broken blood vessels. Then about 3 - 4 weeks ago I started getting deep lower leg pain, and cramping in my calves and arches. This grew more regular, and my hips joined in and I am now rarely without the pain and deep aches. Then the weakness started, it was most pronounced in my dominant hand, I can hardly write or hold a pen now. Typing is difficult now as my hands and forearms are so weak. Yesterday I couldn't pinch my fingers to pick up a potatoe chip! My arches are curled with aches, I am weak all over and getting really uncoordinated. Going up the stairs is a chore, going down is just wacky -- it's harder than going up I am so wobbly and my knees want to give out. It's getting so pronounced that I realized that this must due to something I'm taking and the only thing I'm taking new is Singulair so I decided to Google "Singulair Side Effects" and the first link I clicked was Carrie's post, which I replied too. Then I realized there was more and have been reading all the other posts.

I am grateful that it is just side effects and nothing more sinister. This weekend the accumulated symptoms had me a bit frightened. I was washing my hands and it felt like I sprained my fingers doing it. The ligaments just sort of let go and things began bending the wrong way. It happened when I bent over to put something in the dishwasher, it was like the rib cage lost it's shape for a moment (I don't know how else to describe it). THAT felt bizarre and got my attention. Not being able to pinch my fingers to pick up a chip was the final clue that something is going wrong here. I will stop taking the Singulair now. It's a shame this happened, it was really doing it's job for me. The price of the side effects is too high though.

Been taking it for a year now. I have become forgetful, arthritis pain has worsened, now so tired and foggy brained it came to the point of having to quit my job as I was unable to concentrate. And am now applying for disability. Have been without the medicine for 5 days now and finding it hard to sleep and having creepy crawly feelings on my skin. Has anyone heard that this is a aditictive drug? Because it sure feels like withdrawals to me. Still have my hair...thank god for small favors!

I took Levaquin for 10 days for a sinus infection. On the sixth day, my knees began to ache. Since I stand all day at my job, I thought it was job-related. By the 10th day I had terrible pain in my knees and pain in my calf muscles. After 3 days of agonizing pain in my knees and calves, and having to hold onto to furniture in order to walk, I called the dr. to relay my symptoms. The nurse said it was a side effect of Levaquin. . .sore tendons, aching joints. When I asked if there was anything I could do, they said it would just have to work itself out of my system. They would mark it in my file. I asked how long the side effects would last. . answer. . .4 to 5 days. It is now 14 days since I took the last pill, and the pain is just starting to subside. However, I'm still having difficulty getting up after sitting, and have weakness in my knees. I am 63, have a little arthritis, and now feel this medication should not be given to anyone that has slight joint problems. The pain has been 10 times worse than any arthritis pain that I have had. I have stepped up my anti-inflammatory medicine in the last 5 days. This may be why the pain is lessening, also. I agree that if I had been able to read the side effects warnings before paying for this prescription, I never would have taken it. I just hope these side effects are not permanent. You are always told to finish your medicications. . .however, in this case, I wish I had.

Burning in right shoulder blade; neck pain (burning) diagnosed as arthritis; pain in left heel after sitting too long; sensation of cold behind temples; various occasional facial twitches--currently left nostril, for several weeks it had been one eye that would twitch; sensation that something is on face like a strand of hair when it is not there; slight trouble in thinking of everyday words or saying the wrong word.

wow ~ I found this site while doing some research for my husband. He just received a kenalog injection in his knee to relieve arthritis pain (literally within a couple of hours ago). He doesn't do well with injections anyhow but I thought he was going to pass out immediately after the injection. He did go back to work about half an hour ago (or so) but didn't seem to feel very well & asked me to research kenalog for him. From what I see here on this site, it seems to be some awful stuff.

These posts seem to be from women. Does anyone know how kenalog affects men? Are there any guys out there who have posted any problems with kenalog? feel free to email me at ****** .....thanks!

It seems my Arthritis pain has worsened since I've been on Lisinopril. I was on Lipitor previously. I, too, have noticed fatigue. A tingling in my hands and arms seems to be a side effect.

After completing a regimen of Levaquin, my UTI cleared up, but later, in the space of three days, i went from skipping down stairs to shuffling, holding onto the wall. Doctors informed me i had arthritis, MRI showed nothing. Knee arthroscopy revealed that i had virtually no cartilege in my knee joints.
Pain was unendurable, finally had to have both knees replaced. Two years out of my life for pain and rehab.
Is it possible to develop severe arthritis pain between Tuesday and Friday?! I hope it is, because the only other cause could be the Levaquin.

Originally prescribed Ultracet(actually generic Tramado/apap) for arthritis pain. As instructed, I took two pills at night and one in the morning. By mid-morning I was ill--vomiting, dizziness, extreme fatigue, some itchiness. The arthritis pain was diminished though.
It also gave me weird dreams --black and white television stories super-imposed on colorful dreams. Those were actually kind of interesting, not scary.
I don't think this is the right pain medicine for me.

I began taking 100 mg x2 per day for ten days for a bacterial infection. I am 48 years old and I have Fibromyalgia and arthritis pain issues as well as other health problems. By day three of taking doxy, my pain issues increased dramatically. My legs burn and the pain the runs from the waist to the heels of my feet are not something that has happened to me before...thus, I surmize it is the doxy. My legs and feet burn and hurt so much that it is difficult to walk and to sleep as even resting them on the mattress keeps me awake at night. I tried taking it with a tbsp. of peanut butter and a small glass of milk and in 15 minutes I vomit. I need to have considerable food in my stomach and yet, I have great stomach pain that comes in waves. This is a very difficult medicine to take!
