Artificial tears symptoms and conditions

I have been taking 40mg Omeprazole (by APOTEX) for one week. At 3am Saturday 6/20/2009, I woke up with a severe itchy rash from head to foot. Over four hours, I took 125mg of Benadryl, but the rash got worse, At noon, I went to the Emergency Room at UPMC Shady side. They gave me intravenous steroids, but this had no immediate effect, After three more hours, they admitted me to the hospital. It wasn't until almost midnight before I began to have relief. I was discharged the next day. I have been instructed to never take Omeprazole again.

Restasis was prescribed for my severe dry eyes, but when i started using it 6 months ago, the dryness worsened. Aside from the burning sensation all the tim, redness persisted. It was even more bearable with just over the counter eye drops like artificial tears and genteal. I just recently started using restasis again 2 weeks ago, hoping for a better outcome. Unfortunately, it has not been of any help whatsoever and seems to exacerbate my dry eye condition. Restasis is definitely not a wonder drug. (It should be though for the amount it costs!)

My eyelids are swollen all the time and my eye waters all day long. I now have to use artificial tears...when I went to the optometrist all I had was swollen eyelids in the morning and sometimes when I go outside my eyes would water a little...since the treatment with tobradex for 2 weeks my eyes are getting progressively worst. I am really frustrated....I am also using patanol drops and artifical tears...
