I am 24 years old and I had a pulmonary embolism last month. I was on the birth control YAZ for only 3 months, and that's what doctors seem to think caused it. My insurance only paid for me to be in the hospital for three daysand I was sent home with lovenox shots and Coumadin pills.
One month later, my INR is still unstable, fluctuating so much that they are checking it twice per week. My dosage is constantly changing. I have a red, painful rash on my buttocks - it hurts of sit for more than a few minutes. I am losing clumps of hair. I have lost my libido. I am very irritable and snap at my husband several times per day. I have a headache almost daily and frequent nausea.
I hate these side effects!

I am 65 years old and went on 10 mg for BP about 5 weeks ago. Never having taken anything stronger than a asperin in my whole life I thought I was becoming a hypochondriac.
Besides the somewhat constant coughing which I can tolerate. I am constantly fatiqued. Getting up suddenly makes me very light headed and dizzy. Even raking and bagging leafs was a chore. My wife comments to every one that I exhibit about 25% of my former energy level. I experienced chest pain and a heaviness in my chest the second week on Lisniopril.
I am not a "doctor" friendly person. I hate hospitals and doctors but I have scheduled a appointment with him next week instead of a three month recheck to discuss these symptoms. If it was not for this web site I would have figured this was all in my "head"

I started taking Lipitor, and within a month or so, I started noticing pain in my thigh, then in my upper arm. Not reading the side effects, I did not realize it was the lipitor. When I mentioned it to my doctor, he immediately told me it was the lipitor, and suggested I take one every other day. It did not stop the pain. I have been off Lipitor for 2 weeks now, and I still have the pain in my upper thigh and arm. I wonder how long this is going to last, and nothing helps the pain, not asperin, advil, nothing. I am going to try my best to change my diet, and take the omega 3 capsules, then see what happens when I go back for tests. I do not know what this drug is doing to our body's, but i don't like it. This scares me.
