I just happened to do some research about lisinopril, and happened to stumble into this website. I am 43 years old, newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetics, i also have a history of hypertension and migraine which is under control. my physician just switch my medication from Norvasc to lisinopril, Im already on my 3rd week of taking it, 20mg a day, however, i noticed that i have more frequent headaches, more of a migraine headache that pulsate in one side of my head, i tried taking some over the counter medicine, but with no relief, i went back to see my doctor, and i was given some sumatriptan for the migraine, but at the back of my mind, i already suspected that the lisinopril might have triggered my migraine headaches, i have a relief when i take the sumatriptan, however the migraines keeps coming back. and its been seven days already, i was not able to work one day, because the migraine made me nauseated and vomit. i was doing well with my other medication, and never had migraine like this that last for 7 days up to now.after reading the comments. i have second thought of taking this medication.it seem like it might be the one that triggers my migraine headache. what do you think?

I suffered cardiac arrest in 2006 with the only change in my 51 y/o basically healthy lifestyle was i started taking 500 mg/day of levaquin four days prior to my collapse in front of my students in the classroom. I am a 4th grade teacher - I had suffered cardiac arrest at least three times before I was treated with Arctic Sun therapy to help recover. The heart catheterization afterwards showed no blockage in my heart. There was a good chance, in my opinion, that levaquin could have caused my cardiac arrest. Although not conclusive because I had a tooth infection which was the reason I was prescribed the levaquin and i was taking an said for the discomfort, the back of my mind always comes back to levaquin because i suffered the joint weakness i read in articles of other users of the medication. I also was reminded after the accident that a young person we knew of had died unexpectedly in her sleep a and she was taking levaquin. It makes you think it may have been the levaquin, but no actual proof could be determined by my doctors. However, I will never take this medication again, knowing there are so many other antibiotics on the market to help me.

Ok, so I had this little "evil" thing put in May of 2007, at first it was fine and I hardly noticed it. Well, except for the not having a period, then having all the brown goopy stuff I suppose it was a period I guess. I went back and forth between nothing and episodes of this. I used to refer to my symptoms as having a "mock" period cause my body wanted to have one but I wasn't. I told my doctor I thought something was wrong at my annual in January of 2008 because I couldn't loose weight, I was tired, my migraines came back, my back hurt, my boobs hurt. She told me I needed to have my thyroid checked and ran all kinds of tests. I dismissed it all, but in the back of my mind I thought it was because of this little "evil" piece of plastic. I'm sorry but not having a period is NOT normal. I lived with the "side effects" and at my annual in February of 2009, I had gained more weight, even though I was taking fat burners, working out, and watching my eating habits. Then about 3 months ago, I started experiencing the worst pain possible. Always around the end of the month when I was having my "mock" period symptoms. It was so bad I could barely stand up. My mood swings were HORRIBLE, my husband and I fought a lot. It keep getting worse. After repeatedly telling him that I thought this was all due to this IUD, he dismissed it until this month, when I could barely stand up because of the pain. He finally said take it out. I am getting it taken out today at 10 am and I am counting the minutes. I thought I was crazy, and that this was all in my head. I finally told my husband that I am taking it out and our fertility is in Gods hands. I have an 18 year old daughter, and a 19 year old son. They are grown and gone, he has 2 children from a previous marriage that he never sees. I am 38 years old and have resolved myself to the fact that if I become pregnant it is Gods will for my life, but in the mean time I will be rid of this "evil" thing and all of the HORRIBLE side effects. To anyone reading this that is thinking of getting one, PLEASE don't, you will be sorry. I feel as though it was an ok option for me for about a year, not the 5 they say and it costs way to much money for only having a year. The side effects are horrible, you will experience them and you are NOT crazy.

I had this thing placed in April of 2008. I was fine had minor cramping and went back for check up. everything was okay until January 2009 I got a yeast infection. I did an otc med and it went away for about 3 days. It came back with Avengeance not only did I have a yeast infection but it was accompanied with migrated arthralgia. I could hardly walk at one point on my right foot then it moved from my right hand to my left and has settled in to my right foot. I called my PCP and she gave me meds to treat and it went away for a month. I was told that if it came back with the arthralgia she was going to test me for lupus!!!! LUPUS I thought I was in a lot of trouble the next month because it came back. I have had 8 yeast infections in 6 months. Every time my husband and I have sex it feels like a rug burn and I get the infection back. I was told (when I finally thought to call) by my GYN that if you get yeast infection and it doesn't fully go away it can live on the strings and keep coming back. I was treated this last time with a vag cream insert and an oral med. I thought I was free and clear but two months later here I am again. I am going in to see my GYN/PCP to have this removed tomorrow she agrees that the mirena is the issue. I have had all these other symptoms thought mostly the weight issue I can't lose weight not matter how hard I work at it. I have facial swelling and have been very fatigued. Also be warned that you should not have this placed if you have history of endometriosis. I consulted as to why with one of the doc that i am a nurse for and she said that this can cause bleeding to be worse since endometrial tissue can attach anywhere in the body. I have endometriosis removed twice and I am not willing to take the risk of abn bleeding elsewhere I already have enough CRAP to deal with. I am sure that some women have had this and it hasn't been an issue. More power to you!! but for those of you who are suffering form this. You can file a formal complaint with the FDA I think if enough of us file complaints maybe will step back and take a closer look at the TRUE SE of this horrible device!!

Like most of you all I am on Topamax 100mg. I am a 27 year old female that has suffered from severe migraines for over 20 years that would last up to 2-3 days and completely debilitated me. I would bleed from my tear ducts from the extreme pressure and I would need to be in a quiet, cold, closed off room to be left alone until the migraine was gone to continue on with my life. It was ruining my life and taking over my day to day routine. I could never really commit to anything without the constant worry in the back of my mind about a possible migraine until I found Topamax. Now on Topamax I went from 4-5 migraines weekly to 1-2 monthly, it is truly amazing, however there is a catch. Although the medication is wonderful and I will never get off of it at the rate of success that I am at, I do have side effects. I have extreme tingling in my extremities, (hands, feet) along with my face. It feels like they are constantly asleep. I also have noticed the poor tasting carbonating drinks along with my taste buds changing with certain foods that I use to be so fond of. I also have a very smokey haze where it almost feels euphoric if I wake up in the middle of the night. I have horrible nightmares of people that I have not seen in or thought of in years, memory loss and spelling issues-all goes away after 3-4 months of uses. I had shortness of breath, however that subsides as well with the use of the medications along with several other side effects. I have lost over 30lbs that is along with diet, so I can't say it is all Topamax. I have noticed little nodules that have been showing up on my hands since I stared taking the medication that I am in ? about I have a call in to my neurologist to see if he has heard of any such thing. Other than that I love the medication, because if not having migraines is one of the side effects-lol I can handle the side effects. I hope that this will help anyone that might have anything similar to what I am going through. If you can shed some light on my nodule situation please let me know. Thanks

YAZ BELLY!! anyone else got it? I have been on this pill for 9 months now & about to switch back to ortho novum product. Within the first mth of Yaz I developed a very round (almost menopausal or pregnant shape) lower belly. It has increased over the past 8 months to a ridiculous size that no pants fit but go figure....no weight gain for 7 months. How does ones shape change that much with no weight gain?? I actually am diligent on diet & workout 3 - 6 days a week. Have looked the same for 2 years til Yaz. Now I have to size up due to the belly & rollover. Also past 3 months I started to experience ovary pain that has become significantly worse. Ob/gyn brushed off my issues at first & passed me on to GI. I have had every stomach test & all good! Remarkable they say! So back to GI to switch this week. The only plus of this pill has been a much improved complexion & actually unlike the rest of you...increased sex drive. All I want to know is I am the only one with Yaz shape belly??

I've had Mirena for almost a year, and I can't say I've had all the same symptoms as everyone else here. My biggest problems have been feeling like I'm pregnant all the time, and having almost constant diarrhea. I got diarrhea almost immediately after having it inserted, and had it for a few months afterwards. Things will normalize for a little while, but keep going back to diarrhea. I have always been very in-tune with my body, and it's always been in the back of my mind that this was the problem. I searched for something about in on the Internet months ago, but didn't find anything until now.

I just recently got my third vac. i had no obvious symptoms with the first 2. Now, only a few days after the first dose. I am so nausea but never to the point of throwing up. not yet at least. Reading the other stories has made me realize that gardisal is the problem. I have blamed all my other symptoms(irregular periods, dizziness, extreme fatigue, severe mood swings) on stress but it was always on the back of my mind that something wasn't right. I feel like i am a constant whiner and i feel like everyone thinks im just doing it for attention. I don't like to made to feel like that. A seriously regret not researching this vaccine. But doctors and nurses are there to help you, i would have never thought not to trust something that they are pushing all young girls to get. I am 19 years old and i feel like I'm going on 60. I don't want to miss out on the what should be the best years of my life. I feel for so many of these young girls and women. To have been enjoying life so much and to becoming a wallflower, never being able to stay out late, drink, party, a family reunion, even to just go shopping. It has made everyday of my life a trial.

I have had my mirena for about 9 months now. I thought it was great at first. I moved away from my family to be with my fiance and ever since then I have had such bad anxiety, depression, mood swings like crazy, very low sex drive and bad acne like I never had before. My skin was always very clear. I always have had depression and anxiety but never this bad. I just feel like I hate the world! I thought that it was just that I was homesick and taking it out on my fiance until I had stumbled across this sight. The only thing is that I am not having pains anywhere or excessive weight gain although I am bloated and I look like I am 5 months pregnant. Now what I would like to know is if this is really all caused by the mirena or if it is all in my head? I have a 17 year old and an 11 year old and now I am living with his 3 kids and the last thing I want is to have this removed and find out that it was not the mirena that was giving me all these symptoms. Can someone please help me with some answered questions? Thank you so much!!

Gosh so happy I found you ladies. I got my in mine in this May, after delivering my 2nd son in March. I can't stop eating, always hungry, haven't stopped bleeding, dry skin, constipation, major major back pains, no energy and weirdest is pregnancy nausea in the evenings. I'm on the phone right now to either take it out or talk to my doc more about it. Thanx ladies for all your stories.

My 13 yr old daughter was put on Singulair along with Asmanex and Clarinex for her asthma about 6 weeks ago. Everything seemed to be going very well at first and her symptoms were starting to get controlled. I started noticing after about 3 to 4 weeks that her temper and attitude were getting much worse. Anyone with children this age knows what I mean but this was like a 180 degree turn for her. Her actions were becoming totally out of character. Before I knew it she would cry and get highly upset over the least little thing. Week 5 came around and things totally bottomed out. She came home from school and WAS NOT HERSELF. Made comments about how she hated her life and it was not worth living. Later that evening we had a big argument because I was telling her nothing was worth saying that. She went totally out of control and I had to physically restrain her to calm her down. It appeared everything was better so she went to her room. I went down to check on her and she calmly told me that she had taken advil and tylenol pm and things would be better for her forever now. We went to the ER where they made us wait for at least an hour, then finally took her back. She had to drink two cups of charcoal and was poked and prodded repeatedly. They did a catheter to get a urine sample. She was very cooperative but also was in a complete daze so who knows. The poor child couldn't even lift her head up when she started the vomiting to get rid of the drugs. It was very upsetting and sad. Her heart rate and blood pressure went very low and I really thought in the back of my mind that this was it. Finally, after several hours she started coming out of it and they sent us home. The next evening when she was starting to really come around she proceeded to tell me how she had been seeing a man walking around in her bedroom at night and she was afraid to go down there. Breaking down and crying telling me about all of the horrible nightmares she had been having recently and didn't know why. I thought what am I dealing with here? This just isn't her. Three days ago I heard about singulair in the news and looked it up on the internet. OH MY GOD THIS SOUNDED LIKE US!!!!! I immediately had her stop taking it and the next day phoned her asthma specialist who agreed she should stop now. We are going to watch her for two weeks and see if any symptoms return and then decide if she needs something else or will be fine on just the Asmanex. As a side note, she also mentioned being unable to concentrate in school (unable to do even the simplest math problems) and that her brain felt confused or like something was missing. She said this had been bothering her for several weeks. I know it was this drug. They really need to take this off the market NOW and stop flirting with disaster. The only reason I posted this was to let others know they are not alone.

My Mirena Removal....
So i posted here a few weeks ago after I found this site. I had EVERY side effect listed and was so freaked out that i immediately made an appointment for removal.
For those of you reading and wondering what the removal is like..
Well, NOTHING like the insertion. I was so so nervous and it was over before we actually started. The DR was surprised that i was back in his office to have this removed. He then proceeded to do an ultrasound to be sure it was placed properly before removal. And yes, all was OK on the position of it. I explained to him my reasons and he looked at me like he had never heard this before. I honestly can not imagine with all the women he sees that NONE of them have complained. But...as I was getting dressed afterwards, I took a good look in his office. There was Mirena literature ALL over the place. In fact, that was the ONLY thing he was advertising. Not to mention...they made me pay up front with the insertion back in Nivember...billed my insurance and I still have yet to receive my reimbursement. Oh yeah, and that...they charge more than the actual Mirena costs, then they bill your insurance for the price they know they will pay and the DR then makes about $150 profit. Nice.
Ok, back to my side effects post Mirena. The removal was not painful at all. I did spot for about a week- nothing too heavy but it was clotty and def there.
A couple of days after the removal it felt like I was coming out of my skin something terrible. I figured this was my body adjusting to the lack of hormones. I also had some headaches.
It has now been 2 weeks and the spotting has disappeared. I also can see the bloating of my stomach is starting to go away. It looked like I was about 4 mos preggo while I was on it. I also have an increased sex drive. And sleep-- well let me tell you, I have not slept this good in a very long time. I am actually sleeping more than 6 hours now and the night sweats have also discontinued.
I can't believe EVERY time I come to this site and look up Mirena ALL the people that have posted their experience as being negative. Yet, the DR looks at me like I am crazy! I have been seeing him for years and I have never complained about something like this. I really am so happy that I have it out and wish I would have done my research on this prior to insertion (which was one of the most painful things ever!)
So..for those of you out there that are either contemplating having it inserted...I say NO WAY. And for those of you out there that are nervous about the removal or not sure..I SAY YES, DO IT! For our bodies to be reacting this way, it is clear to me that it should not be inside of us. Listen to your bodies...they really do speak to you and let you know when something is not right. Forget about the DR saying it is safe or he has not heard of any of these side effects...YOU be the judge.
Good luck! And I promise it gets better once you get that lil' demon out!
Mona

Anyone have extreme skin sensitivity? The right side of my face and scalp have a minor burn/itch feeling. I also seem to have some small goose eggs on my head. I'm seeing the OB today. Should be interesting.

I posted a question to anyone who used Tri-Sprintec before, but now it's been several months & I'd like to let everyone else know how it's worked for me! Tri-Sprintec has been the best birth control I've ever taken. I have been on other birth controls over the years, and up to this point Yasmin was good but I still had some side effects. I've just started my fourth month on Tri-Sprintec, and I feel more like myself again. I don't have any crazy mood swings, my skin has cleared up, my periods are regular again & my appetite has gone back to normal. I recommend Tri-Sprintec to anyone who is looking for an affordable & reliable birth control (it's offered at the Wal-Mart pharmacy for $9 a month if you don't have insurance.)

I am happy to find a website like this with so much information that you normally would not hear from a doctor or pharmacy. I am just taking my daughter to the doctor today to find out what may be wrong with her stomach. She has been off and on Singular since she was a toddler. I never dreamed that her attitude could be from this Singular. It has always been in the back of my mind but the doctor always said that was not the problem. My sweet little girl can start being so ugly and I think Singular is why this happens. Now these stomach pains for the last month might be Singular as well. To think we as parents give this to our children and never know the truth behind it. Asthma attacks are so scary but there are surly other preventative medicines out there that do not cause all of these extra side effects.
Thanks everyone for sharing your stories.

My son just turned 5 years old. Singulair is the only medicine my son has been taking in these last few months. He had been off of it for about a year, until May 05 he started taking it again. His behavior became terrible. I did not put two and two together, that the medicine was doing this to him. Constantly in trouble in pre k. Bouncing off the walls, bad temper, head aches, a couple of nose bleeds, muscle leg and ankle cramps (which I thought were growing pains), not sleeping through the night, not LISTENING at all, hyper, sarcastic, rude and eating all the time. I have had him off singulair for a few days and he is getting back to the sweet little boy he use to be. I can't believe the change in personality. Thank you for this website and I hope other parents read this and take their children off singulair. I was thinking about taking him to a therapist because I just did not know what to do anymore. So the other night I was thinking what has happened to him to cause such a change. Then I thought I will do some research on Singulair and boom I could not believe he wasn't the problem, singulair was. I was at my wits end until I found this website and noticed similar patterns with other children. I feel awful I have been giving these terrible pills to my son. I cannot believe doctors are prescribing this to little children. How unfair. He has been in so much trouble lately being disciplined. He use to be on it a couple of years ago and was also bad and I asked the ped and he told me no behavior problems could be caused by singulair. So I just filed it in the back of my mind and choked it up to terrible two's. Well I say bull. My poor child went through hell. Help your little ones and do not let them take singulair.
