Within 2 days of beginning Lisinopril for an "elevated blood pressure event", I bagan to experience labored breathing, like I had just walked up 10 flights of stairs. And that was at rest! I had some anxiety and was generally lethargic. I also began experiencing severe cramps in my legs, feet, and toes. My arches would cramp so bad I coulld hardly stand it. I thought this might be related to the diuretic in the medication. I also experienced muscle weakness. I called my doctor who told me to take half a pill each day. The effects were basically the same at half the dosage! The breathing still labored, less cramping, but same feeling of tiredness and lethargy. I quit taking it, made some lifestyle changes (less sodium laced foods, more exercise) to bring down the pressure.

I bagan taking prednisone 2 1/2 years ago for polymyalgia rheumatica. My doctor told me I would only be on it about 6 months, but I am still trying to get off of it. I am slowly trying to reduce the dose and am now at 1 m a day, but I am so tired and ache. I have been at 1 m about 1 week. About the time I got to 2 m I developed alot of congestion and have started taking over the counter medience for that. It helps, but when I don't take it, the congestion comes back. I have also started taking aspirin for the aches and stiffness I have in the morning when I get up. Has anyone had this happen to them when trying to lower the dose of prednisone? I can fight it if it will eventually go away. Anything to get off this drug.

My 6 year old daughter was prescribed sulfatrim for a urinary tract and after the seventh day she developed a rash all over her body and her joints began to swell and ache. After a trip to the er and a shot of ephedrine and some other various allergy meds she bagan to get a little better and now after about eighteen hours and the drugs have worn off, she is in full rash and horrible pain. I have called th ER again and they have called in some Dexadron for her. I have given her her first dose of it and she has no change at the moment. After reading some of the horror stories, I am scared to death and not sure where to turn at this point.

I took Levaquin - 500mg for 10 days for a sinus infection. It was only on the 9th day that I bagan having side effects. At first I thought it was bursitis, but when I read the side effects after checking on the internet, I realized that it is from the Levaquin. It is not getting any better and even my right leg is painful. I cannot lift my arm or even move it too much.

I was hoping that this would be better after a few days, but after having read all the reports on this drug, I am beginning to worry.
Where do I find a reliable doctor?
Is there any treatment at all for the pain?
