I have Endometriosis and had my Mirena IUD put in on Aug. 8th, 08. Since then I've noticed a lot of changes. I'm crabby, A LOT! I have severe mood swings. One minute I'm happy go lucky and then the next minute I could kill people. I have cramps all the time. At first I thought it was just my period, but it can't be. I don't bleed at all anymore. I spotted the first two weeks and nothing after that. Now, I just have pain all the time. Like I said I thought it was just what was suppose to be my time of the month, so everything hurt but that isn't the case. My breasts are tender, as if I were to be pregnant. I feel bloated most times. I have abdominal cramping, to the point where I can feel the outline of my ovary and uterus. My back hurts all the time. I have endometriosis and my doctor swore that this would take care of the pain related to that, but I think this just started a whole new ball game. My boyfriend swears since I got it put in, that every time we have sex he can feel something..I don't even like sex anymore. When I agree to have sex, I usually end up making him stop because I can't take the pain any more. Then afterwards I hurt for a week..I know this isn't normal. I never had any luck with the pill, and depo almost killed me. I thought this would be perfect for me, but it's not, and now till I get insurance I can't even get this taken out. I don't know of any long-term side effects to Mirena, but I don't think all of this trouble is worth it..

i have taken Zyrtec for years during the fall during ragweed season - works great for me without any side effects. My husband can only take it every other day as it makes him feel flu -ish. 18 yr old takes as needed and it works great. 16- yr old has allergy asthma and has taken Zyrtec for years and now with Singulair. She now is experiencing all noted problems of sleeplessness, headache, anxiety, and grumpy. We are quitting the Singulair to monitor improvement and will do the same with Zyrtec if needed.
NOTE: Each person most be monitored with every drug for allergies and side effects. If you or your child cannot tolerate a drug, STOP taking it. You are your best daily diagnostician! Your DR. may not agree or understand, but pursue another course. REMEMBER though, that drug may be a lifesaver for millions of others that react favorably! Penicillin is a miracle drug unless you are allergic! Doctors should encourage close monitoring whenever your kids take a new drug - but when they don't - that's our job!

I was prescribed Biaxin Extended Release, 500 mg/2x daily for 10 days, for a sinus infection. I am on the 5th day, and feel absolutely horrible. The nausea is CONSTANT, I am very tired, headaches, stomach cramping, bad gas, sleeplessness..the list goes on and on. Also, am very emotional. I have a history of depression, but this is a whole new ball game. I cry at almost anything. I called my doctor today to switch to a new antibiotic, and am waiting to hear back.
