I am well acquainted with migraines, I went from bayer Aspirin to Tylenol to Motrin and finally to Excedrin and have been using Excedrin and occasionally Excedrin migraine. I have learned by the suggestion of a doctor who also is acquainted with migraines, to take the minimal amount of pain reliever at the onset of a headache. It is easier to stop a migraine when pain is at the early stages. Excedrin is the only thing I take at the onset. The migraines that I get start out as headaches and progress to migraines. Very rarely do I get a migraine which is suddenly induced.

I am taking Niaspan under the direction of my physician. He has me on 1000 MG a day that I take at dinner time during my meal. A half hour before I take a Bayer aspirin. I am told it helps to keep me from flushing and itching. However, once in a while I do itch First time it happened was 6 weeks ago and then 3 weeks ago and then again last night. I have been taking this amount since May and have not had any problems until 6 weeks ago. What can be done? What should be done? What can I use to stop the itching. What do you think has caused the itching to flair up?
Thank you
Chris

Thank you all for sharing your experiences of the side affects of Advair. I am 46 years-old and have been on Advair for almost 2 years. I've experienced hair loss, joint stiffness. I find myself taking Tylenol for body and back pains every night, and Bayer aspirin in the mornings. My feet are so sore. I've also had decrease in libido.. at first I thought I was going through menopause. I did not have all these problems before Advair. Look what most of us had to sacrifice just to be able to take in deep breaths without feeling like someone is standing on our chest. I will search for other alternatives. My grandmother used to make tea from lobelia leaves to help my uncle who suffered with asthma.
