I had the Mirena IUD inserted in me around the beginning of August of 2005, and the first couple weeks I did have constant normal bleeding and some cramps but after that I must say I LOVED IT!! I had no problems no pains thereafter. I just had it removed this past Monday October, 20th, 2008 because I am ready to have another baby, if not I would have never even had it removed. I don't know if i will want to have another baby after but I know I definitely want the mirena IUD again, I have always said I want a mirena till I die lol, since it was such a wonderful experience for me and no period and no cramps loved it, loved it, loved it. I am really sorry to hear how many of you ladies are having such bad experiences with something that for me was the glory, wish you all the best.

I was prescribed Adderall 30mg tablets 3X's daily. Right from the beginning I found that the Adderall caused a very very annoying agitation to my throat. The only way I know how to describe the sensation is that it feels almost like I have phlemgm stuck in my throat,it causes me to almost continuously cough and gag so that I can clear my throat, but, nothing ever comes up!?? I'm wondering, could the Adderall be causing minor swelling or inflammation causing my throat to feel this way. If so, does anyone know of anything that would counteract this reaction?? I would hate to have to discontinue this medication as it helps me so much as far as staying focused. If anyone has any idea as to what I could do to make this bad reaction go away or to at least make it subside somewhat, I would be so grateful!!!!

I just started taking One a Day Women and had to discontinue immediately. I have not taken a daily vitamin since I was a kid and I don't think after this experience I ever will again. Within 4 hours I was throwing up non stop for about an hour. The next morning I woke up feeling like I had been out drinking all night. It was like a horrible hangover. I only took one as directed. I experienced headache, dizziness, clammy hands, hot flashes, nausea, diarrhea, etc. I would not recommend to anyone wanting to start a daily vitamin regimen.

the truth.

word of advice...dont take "prescription drugs" unless its for life-threatening issue, but for anything else dont take it, prescription drugs are'nt always good and ALWAYS come in with numerous side-effects.

i use natural ways to cure my syptoms for now on, for example, good nutrition, exercise, sleep, herbal tea drinking, talk therapy, you see, there is a alternative. the doc just want me to take meds and get money from the insurance for doing so.

they say its "hospital policy"..i think now i see the corollation between money and meds

i took geodon at 20mg for 6 months because the docs "said" it "prevents" any chance of pyschotic behavior, i was like, oh no doc, i dont have those behaviors, i try to convince them, but they hold me against my will and i had to take it in order for them docs to release me from the hospital..because its "hospital policy".if i dont take it..i dont leave.

in the first place...i went to the hospital to talk so i can feel better from my arguments with my family, not to be treated with medication, i did'nt expect that, they prescibe it to me without my knowledge and consent, but they got consented it from someone else, and its none other than my parents who were my enemies at the time, and my parents use the oppurtunity to use that so they can further punish me. and now im pissed...and am going to press charges for couple million dollars because the damages is too great, my body is like heating up even if its dead in winter, having feel like im going to get nose bleeds, which rarely occurs but did on several occasion..if it did..it last up to two minitues continuasly, so i stop taking it in protest, i feel a little relieved, but the damages is too great, i even lost my job because i was so exausted, i could'nt even perform my hard work duties anymore , and iam feeling that my metabolic rate is severely high, which produce excess body heat in the process. and beggining of this year, i feel that iam developing a sensitivity to extreme heat due to the meds. i dont know the extent of the sensitivity, and iam also developing a fatal disease called neuroliptic malignent syndrome. i want to avoid that at all cost. im not for sure, but i need a physical test done...the whole nine yards.

neoroliptic malignent syndrome(NMS) is life threating neorological disorder most often caused by an adverse reaction to neoroleptic or antipyschotic drugs.
in two weeks after the initial drug being taken or whenevr takened,
the first syptom to develope is muscular rigidity, followed by high fever and changes in cognitive fuctions and other symtom may vary. but includes blood pressure, confusion, coma, dilirium, muscle tremors, when symtoms do appear, they can peak intensity within three days. these symtoms can last 48 hours to 40 days. seek medical help when occured for over a week.

a raised creatine phosphokinase(CPK) plasma concentration will be reported due to increased muscular activity, the person may be hypertensive and suffering from a metabolic acidosis, which means the blood ph level is low than 7.35 due to the increased production of hydrogen by the body, or the body inability to form bicarbonate in the kidney, this can result in diarrhea, coma, or even death. together with respitory acidosis, its the two main acidosis.

unfortunately, the symtoms may be reported as symtoms of "mental illness" by the doctors which delays treatment.

but thats is all i can say...

i dont know now..but this damages doned to me might last years, i hope its not permanent.

just remember people....ask questions about your medications you're taking, if you feel the docs is covering the truth and just says the "good things" about meds, find other sources, i studied for two years to come with a report that corresponds to my symtoms, i just want to be accurate so i can have proof so i can take them to court!!!!

and of course, as with personal opinion for evryday life, "certain things and objects, rules and regulations is not for everyone but applies to some, evryone has different preferences, like certain meds, favorite colors of their cars, radio stations, etc...remember..

I just needed some advice on birth control. I started loestrin 24 fe in the beggining of the year. I was getting my period before I was do so the doctor switched me to ortho trycycline lo. I was really moody and was having anxiety attacts. I used to take bc pills for years and never had a problem until after my daughter was born. So I went back on loestrin. I got my period again before I was do. The doctor said to give it some time so I did. Again the horrible bloating moodswings anxiety and then depression. I quit talking it and now feel better. Is it possible that bc pills are no longer for me. I really would love to try another pill but a little scared. I never thought bc can cause such grief. HELP

Hello Yasmin users, PLEASE HELP WITH ANY ADVICE:

I was concerned about weight gain with BCP
(Ortho Tri Cyclin made me gain too much weight 30pds in under 1 yr)
my OBGYN recomended Yasmin, she said it had the opposite effect. I have been on this pill for about 2 years. One of the first and biggest side effect I noticed right away was rapid weight loss - I was not doing anything different with my exersize regimine or eating.
Also in the beggining and worsened, after staring YASMIN:
Depression, which I went to see my doctor about twice and she said it would go away. - and third, like a downward spiral getting worse and worse now above all is no libido. I have been complaining about this and she said loss of libido is normal with ALL BCP and if she switched me it would make no difference. I am frustraed with her responses to my issues.

IS THIS TRUE? Are they all the same??????

I also get a lot of headaches on this pill and I never hardly ever got a headache before. My eyes sometimes twitches too, which is weird. It seems like if I don't take the pill the same time every day and I wait until later - then I get headache or nausea.

I also noticed I feel better when I am on the placebo pills and are on my period, and actually feel kind of "in the mood" for alck of better terms.

I am willing to take a pill with weight gain side effects!! - if I can have my sex drive back!!!!!

PLEASE DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS ANOTHER PILL THAT I CAN LOOK INTO?
HOW ABOUT ORTHO EVRA??????????
Sincererly, Sick of YASMIN

I WAS BEGGINING TO THINK SOMETHING ELSE MIGHT BE WRONG WITH ME,BUT AFTER READING THROUGH HERE I SEE THAT SOMEONE HAS AT LEAST ONE OF MY SYMTHOMS AND THAT MADE ME FEEL A LITTLE BETTER. ANYONE KNOWS HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR THE MOONFACE TO GO AWAY AFTER YOU STOP THE DRUG?

have been taking Atorvastatin for 5 months, prescribed by the hospital after I was hospitalised for 3 days following a minor stroke. I was prescribed 20mg which I took for about three and a half months. I felt dizzy a bit and believed this was side affects from my stroke. My cholesterol was 6.2 which is considered quite high. I decided to cut down the dose to 10 mg as I hate taking drugs of any kind and a friend of mine who has low thyroid like me ( we are both on thyroxine) told me that she had been told that one should not take statins with an under active thyroid. This is why I reduced the dose. Having found this website I am beggining to realise that the shoulder and neck pain that has developed over the last months and also an increase in the dryness to my eyes and a swollen finger joint - could all possibly be due to Atorvastatin. I have now stopped taking the drug -- my shoulders are just beginning to feel easier now , I await relief from my swollen painful finger-- will let you know results.
