Yaz is AWFUL I took it for 5 months and it made me have headaches a lot, feel dizzy, diarrhea, throwing up and anxiety. It also made me feel like I didn't want to do anything and just really tired. It started making me feel really different the past month and I just realized that it was the birth control because i'm not on any other meds and that was the only other possible thing. These birth controls are not good for anybody to be taking. The FDA are using us to see what side effects it will have on us, I don't know about you but i'm not going to be there lab ratz anymore.

Ive been on the nuvaring for about four months and for three of those months everything was fine. my doctor told me that i could leave it in for 3 weeks and have a period for a week or three weeks and change to a new ring. well being that most women hate periods, i decided not to have one four four months. But now i am having this weird brown discharge(no smell) and i have had reoccurring yeast infections (white discharge, itching, burning). this skin around my vagina was raw for a week or so. gross i know. can anybody tell me whats up with this. i have been overly emotional because i thought something was wrong with me. is it?

I have been off YAZ now for almost a month.
I still have anxiety, but nowhere near as bad.
Did you know YAZ can cause upper repertory infections? I had 2 at one time. I thought it was just the cold season. And if Getting a PAP once a year isn't bad enough, YAZ can cause your test fail. in other words you have to have another. YUP! All from the YAZ most of this is on their site and on the listed warnings and side effects. For me YAZ meant Anxiety I stopped taking it one week into my 6th month. I feel a bit better everyday.
I just hate to think that I got put on Zoloft and Xanax because of my BCP
and now I have to battle getting off the pills to feel like me again. I have done a lot of research and talked to a lot of people. Its not just YAZ its many other birth controls. well... there are always condoms.

Hello again.
I thought I would give an update.
I was on my 7th day of a new pack of YAZ I just stopped taking it. Called my Doctor gave him a heads up. He did say it could be the cause of or agrivating my anxiety. It's getting better slowly, its been a week since I have been off of them. I have been talking to alot of friends, I have learned that this isnt uncommon. Not just for Yaz but many other birthcontrols. Rage, panic attacks ect. All caused from their birthcontrols. If anyone else is having horribly anxiety, call your doc and switch off the yaz and get something that works better for you. Hell being pregnant is better than this!

I read a message above "by APAINTEDSMILE and I agree with Alesse being one of the least negative side affects...all birthcontrols are going to have a side affect. However Alesse Is one of the weaker Birthcontrol pills out there.
-I had lesser day periods(3-4)
- my period always came on thursday
-no cramps/acne due to pms
-didnt get pregnant while on the pill
My guess for anyone feeling they were going crazy on the pill is due to youre own hormone levels ..and its called PMS

However as much for Alesse as I am I went off for a week and became pregnant right away , aswell as my younger sister, she also took Alesse and is pregnant after being off for only a couple weeks b/c it is a weaker birthcontrol pill going off the pill for even a week there is a high chance of getting pregnant. But as long as you take it properly Its a great form of Birth control With very little side effects...

The person who would rather have highblood pressure then a change in youre cycle, thats crazy..THATS A BIG SIDE EFFECT.that affects youre health.once you start Alesse and you get youre period, you shouldnt get it 2 weeks later it'll just change the cycle to 21 days on the pill and 7 days or less off for youre period. give it a couple months atleast for youre body to get used to the new B.C

Has anyone who has been on Yasmin for more than two years noticed post-sex vaginal bleeding? I'm 24 and I've been seeing the same guy for three years, been on Yasmin for two and a half years, and all of a sudden (please forgive me being graphic), when we have sex in the doggystyle position, I start to bleed. It's only a little bit and it doesn't continue. There is no pain.

The only thing I can think of is that having been on Yasmin for an extended period of time has led to this side effect.

Otherwise everything is fine. I haven't become pregnant, my cycles are regular, I haven't experienced mood issues or the dreaded recurring yeast infections that one poor girl described. The bleeding freaks my boyfriend out and dampens the mood, to say the least.

Has anyone else experience this? Please let me know, I'm hoping to eliminate the most likely causes of this symptom so I can figure out if it's my body or what....
