There is a way out!!! Started taking Prednisone 25mg for eczema a few years back, had constant heart ache and fatigue during the month that i took it. But real choas strike after stopping it, later on i find out it was because i stopped the dosage too sudden, i must slowly reduce my tablets from 4 pills a day to half a peel a day n than none, over a course of 2 weeks so my body can adjust without it. (shity doctor did not give clear instruction). I was constantly shaking uncontrollably, had shortness of breath, i always felt cold n hollow inside, my skin was so painful with stuff oozing out of the never closed wounds... went to the hospital, seen countless doctor... but my body was still not healing bk to normal, i was 21 years old. But than i went to c a Chinese medicine doctor. they acknowledge that due to these steroids medication my body is failing n they gave me Chinese herbal medicine to boil n drink for about a month! (it stinks sooooo much!) but i could c the improvement in two weeks, now i am alive n kicking, feeling my youth n strength has came bk to my body! is always better to heal a steroids/drugs damaged body with natural herbal therapy than seeing more doctors, getting more drugs in ur body.

a few hours after i took levaquin, i went to BK and got a cheeseburger. i had just had a csection and was having a hard time recovering. i thought the pain i was having had something to do with the surgery but i started to realize it was the levaquin. it was like everything i tried to eat kind of got stuck going down. it hurt so badly i just stopped eating. i was so weak and my muscles were so weak. ias so weak that i had to concentrate really hard on my breathing. i didn't realize it was the levaquin until later that night. i started getting giant red spots on my arms and on my forehead. they were on fire and it was miserable... my husband had a bowl of ice cold water and ice packs and rags in the freezer. he was running around like a mad man trying to keep bringing me cold rags. every time he would put them on the red spots, the rags would be hot within seconds. my mom thought i should just jump into the cold shower but i had to explain to her that i was also freezing at the same time. finally my mom did some research and found out that this happens so the doctor said to take benadryl for a few days until the medicine wears off. i will never take that crap again... it was such a weird and terrible experience.

I am a 33 yr old male with Cystic Fibrosis. I started prednisone in 2006 and as of 2009 i have never been off of it.This drug has destroyed my body. I was under weight when i started, at 130 lbs. I am 5'9'' so i admit that was thin, but know i am at 170 lbs. This has had an effect on my relationship with my girlfriend since i met here when i started taking it. It may actually help me breathe better, but I am not sure. I have decided to stop it myself. I will do so slowly, but i am sick of the way i look and feel. This may sound silly to some but i just hate being in this state. I look like a pregnant woman playing a trumpet. I wonder how long it will take me to look like me again? Good luck to all of you. BK.

Been on lisinopril for about a year for high bp. Seems to help. Don't have a cough and don't seem to be feeling weak or sluggish. Do have a burning sensation on the tip of my tongue and a couple of really sore bumps have come and gone on the last few weeks. Also, I am now developing may little red cherry like blood blisters on my body just about everywhere. I've had the dermatologist look at them and he called them some kind of skin cherry and nothing to worry about. I know they are somewhat genetic and my father has a few but I am getting hundreds of them and it has been within the last 6 months. I was told this medicine dialated the artery going into the kidneys to relieve pressure. Wonder if it is dialating capalaries in my skin causing these cherrys? Anybody else got 'em?
