Blood preasure symptoms and conditions

I am a 57 year old male took lisinopril for about 6 month. Had to go to er with Angioedema. Lips, jaws, and mouth swelling. The doctor in the er said that lisinopril did this to me and I should never take it again. It was supposed to lower my blood pressure.

I am 30 and just prescribed this med for high blood pressure 160/115 sometimes worse. I haven't filled my script because I usually handle all my problems completely natural with the occasional ibuprofen. I do have a balance though and don't want to explode and leave my family behind. I have no weight issues and know the whole kidneys regulate potassium and salt and with HBP you generally need more potassium, magnesium is an import as well as upping the vitamin C but taking that at a different time than the others as it could block some absorption. After a ER visit and finding out that I have cardiomyopathy, the doctor has put me on Lisinopril to bring down my blood pleasure. After reading so many posts, and seeing that many of the posts are recent, it has me more than concern. That fact that many of the complaints from the patients to their doctors were look at by their doctors as being unwarranted. I have taken two pills so far. I'm not going to wait around to see whether or not I will suffer any side effects. I think I have enough input to make a sound decision for myself. Most of these doctors are on the payroll of big pharmaceutical, and , they push whatever drug they are getting paid for. Seriously, "Snake Venom", enough said.

I have been on this med for 8 yrs and trying to get off it. It is a horrible drug. i take it because i had a kidney transplant that messed up my blood preasure. I had all the syptoms of anxiety because this med and now taken lexpro to balance out the anxiety. im glad i came across the page cause i take so many meds for my transplant and on top of the blood preasure and now anxiety meds its taken a tole on my liver. so i will definitley talk to my doctor about getting me off the lexapro and trying a different blood preasure med. I also gained alot of weight but it might because of all the meds i take. i went from 170-263lb in 8 yrs

I am on Lisinopril 10mg I break the tab in half take it morn and night, also I am on Hydrochlorot 12.5mg once a day.
I have been having a cough, dizzyness, tiredness, knee pain and I have no control of wetting myself when I cough. for some time now. I have been on this stuff for a year. I went to the Doctor the 14th of Nov. only to find that my Triglycerides are out of the roof my Cholesterol is up and I have high blood sugar. My blood preasure is good though.
I watch what I eat very closley. I am a bit over weight 60#'s.
I have been on the web for 3 hours now checking out these problems well Hydrochlorot causes the Triglycerides, Cholesttrol and the blood sugar to go up. Then I find this web site stating all the problems that Lisinopril causes I am having some of the same problems as the rest of you.
I am not going to take any more of this poison. I am going to go the natural way. I found on www.rxomega3.com some information about Lowering Triglycerides the stuff is called OMACOR (omega-3-acid ethyl esters) it is FDA approved which means nothing to me. Your Doctor can prescribe it for you.

I have been on imitrex and atenolol for a week. It has caused pain in the right side of my neck that runs through my right arm.I'm trying to stop my headaches, not cause more pain. Ithink the medication is unsafe if you have to use a low dose blood preasure medicine with it. Imitrex, and it's counterparts shuold be pulled from the market! It all stems from doctors trying not to prescribe narcotic type medication for headaches.

My doctor prescribed this medication for a sinus infection. Usually have been prescribed a Z-pack for this by my regular doctor. I took this medication right after returning home about middle afternoon. I was awake untill 5 am went to work and took again in the AM, with my regular morning breakfast of coffee and toast, didn't eat much during the rest of the day, not hungry felt like I was on diet pills (heart palpations, etc. ).
My headache which usually accompanys sinus infections got worse so I went to bed early because it was really a very bad headache and at 5AM I woke up in a cold sweat and started throwing up. After feeling the same at 8AM Since it was Saturday I opt to go to Urgent Care. Was seen by doctor by 9:30AM. By this time I was still throwing up, horrible headach, and cold sweats. My blood preasure was at all time hight 160 over 100. Needless to say this doctor gave me the Z-Pack and he asked to see me again on Monday morning at which time my blood preasure was back to normal 116 over 80.
I will never knowingly take this medication AGAIN! Please note: 1. I have never had high blood pressure, actually it is usually low. 2. When taking medications I will always drink more water than I normally do to help just to flush out my body, especially when I am taking sinus medications as they usually "dry me out".

My doctor put me on Lisinopril/HTCZ at a rate of 1/2 tab a day, I went from good energy to total listlessness and after a week developed a bad deep flu like cough. I'm 59 years old Male and in pretty good health. My blood preasure was 140/90. I took this drug for about 2 weeks and went steadily down hill, I stop taking Lisinopril and slowly(about a month) Regained my energy in one day after being off the stuff. But the cough is very tough to shake, it's been off the stuff for about a month and am just now begining to lose the cough, It usually hits the worst while trying to eat dinner. Also while taking this drug, I would just bend down to pick up something off the floor and would come up panting as if I had run a mile. I was so happy to find this forum, But don't understand why any doctor would continue to precribe this stuff to anybody, My doctor is primarily a baby doctor, Boy do I feel sorry for those women, I'm sure if I said anything to the doctor he would think I'm nuts....

I have been taking Lisinopril for about 3 months. I have a really bad cough that keeps me up all night. My eyes burn and get very teary from time to time. I'm going back to the doctor to get something else for my blood preasure. I need sleep.

I started taking Diovan after trouble with Lisinop (bad cough!) and Hydrochlorozide (didn't work). At first I took one tab a day, but after a month, my BP was not low enough to keep my Dr. happy, so dosage was increased to two a day. I became so exhausted I could not get up off of the couch. I would lay there and try and will myself to get up and do the dishes or something simple. I just didn't feel like myself. Then I found myself lying in bed at night thinking about how I didn't want to go on this way and what would be the easiest way to do away with myself! Now this just isn't me! I immediately quit taking the Diovan and insisted to my Dr. that I will never take it again. Within two weeks I was feeling more normal. Now I am on Toprol, better energy level, but my feet are really sore...guess I will have to wait and see.

I was prescribed 500mg of Levaquin for 10 days for a UTI and after the 3 dose I could hardly walk. I have terrible joint and muscular pain in my knees, toes and fingers, extreme weakness. My blood preasure has gone up and I have lost weight and taste. All these symptoms persist after a month. I am under 40.

I have been taking lisinopril (prinovil) 5mg for 1 and a half years now. I feel very tired and sick for one hour or so after taking my pill in the morning. I also have the caugh and dry eyes. My blood preasure however is under control.
