thank god I found this sight! Tossed my Lisinopril in the trash can. I have been on it for about 8 months. I suffer from allergies and thought nothing of the cough/ tickle that I was experiencing....Except that it got worse, and never went away. My husband complained about my coughing at night. My boss was always telling me to go to a doctor ( which i did- and said it was allergies) and everyone in general got tired of hearing me cough/hack all the time. Then I started having really bad coughing fits. I cough so bad, I thought I would pass out. The whites of my eyes would turn blood red. Sometimes I would be close to vomitting. It was awful to be in a meeting at work and start one of these coughing fits. It sounded awful, and everyone looks at you while you helplessly sit there coughing your brains out. Screw it. I can't live like this. I am overweight. I know losing weight will help my bp alot, and have been working out some. I've lost 10lbs, but could stand to lose another 50. I'm now more motivated to work on this.

I have been on the "pak" for four days of the seven now. My joints & asthma are MUCH better, but at a cost. I went balistic in the license branch today! It was scary for even me. The only reason the cops were'nt called was that thank God my adult daughter was with me, and got me out of there. I was shaking and my face was blood red. This can't happen again. I have NEVER done anything remotely like that in the past. Either my doc writes me some tranqilizers, or I am off this crap! We had discussed making preg a routine drug for me {low doses of course}, but I am having second thoughts now. True, the joint pain was pretty bad, but I'll just load up on NASIDs instead, and use my inhaler religously from now on. This is the only negitive side effect I have had, BUT IT IS ENOUGH FOR ME!

I was prescribed Levaquin 750mg for 10day for a mild upper repiratory infection. I started tingling and my body turned blood red. It was burning terribly as if it was the worst sunburn of my life. It takes me half the night to fall as sleep. Now my head is in a fog and feel more and more tired. I quit taking this damn stuff after 5 days of this. My cold got worse anyway, the drug did not help at all. What a waste of $147.00 for ten pills. I guess the drug company made their buck.

I began by taking lisinopril 40 mg only once. after about 4 hours My face turned blood red, my arms chest & back also turned red and burned. I even got a slight case of that infamous cough. Either I got way too much of this stuff while switching from my other meds.....or I am just plain allergic to it? This is suposed to be a HP drug that does not cause ED....but with a face so red I won't have to worry about sex anyway.

I first took Pseudoephedrine HCl over 30 years ago while in the USAF, under the brand name Actifed, which at the time was prescription only. Within a day or so, I began to notice a blood-red rash starting to appear on areas of my body not exposed to light. Perhaps the areas were also the warmest areas. I returned to the doctor and was advised to stop taking the drug. Many years later, Sudafed was released as an OTC medication and when I tried it, the rash returned. It took a bit to determine the culprit was the Pseudoephedrine, but since then, I have avoided any medications with it as the active ingredient. The worst part is that the medication is otherwise extemely effective.

Wierd. I have taken Bactrim before and had no incicent - that I can recall. Well, today I was diagnosed with Bladder infection - took 1st dose of bactrim and about twenty minutes later (as i'm walking into a restaurant), everything starts going haywire. First wicked itching, flushing of the skin - then eyes turn BLOOD red, face swells, tongue starts feeling fat and hurts - heart is pounding. I freak out - and throw some money on the table for a glass of tea - that I didn't drink - Husband rushes me back to clinic - as we both think I am having aniphilactic reaction. Terrified. Never experienced anything like it - my face swole up on the way - horrible. Wanted to scratch my skin off. Palms of hands, feet everything feels like its "asleep" and has needle like sensations. They ask if my airway is tightening (!) not yet? They give me a "steroid" shot (generic term I guess), and a Zyrtec. I start calming down on the way home - itching subsides and then chest pains begin - now I think i'm having a heart attack. I don't know if the trembling is from Bactrim or terror. I crawl into bed and start bawling - cuz I feel like I almost died. It scared the shit out of me. Husband paces and wrings hands. Now, hours later - I have sweats, fatigue (dramatic day), and heartrate is still elevated. Left tonsil hurts when I swallow. Yikes.
