Bloody stools symptoms and conditions

I've been on this for a few days today is my last pill I've had bloody stools & red dots on my shins, I'm scared, & if you read the side effects thoroughly, you will see that it surprisingly mentions fatality as a possibility.

My doctor started me on Aciphex because I coughed quite often. It was thought Iwas having acid reflux. I took it for ten days and had gas a lot. Then yesterday I had a large bloody (probably 2-3 oz of blood) stool. I had 3 bloody stools altogether, then this morning just tarry stool, but no blood. My doctor said to switch to Prilosec

My 2 1/2 yr odl was put on Omnicef over a week ago for a severe ear infection in both ears and a UTI caused by her "holding" her stools ( she doesnt like to poop) Well she usally has painful bm's caused by IBS (yes toddlers can have IBS) But i noticed tonight that her stool, which was still large and painful was stained red... parts of the stool were COMPLEATLY red... i almost rushed her to the ER.. but first i looked up bloody stools in toddlers and discovered that Omnicef caused a Infection in the intestinal Tract and can cause bloody stools, or orange tinged stool... She hasnt really had much other side effects, other then a little irratablity.. but i dont think we will be going with Omnicef again....

experienced ischemic bowel after on 25mg for 4 days reguired hospital stay of 6 days and IV. symptoms of abd cramping bloody stools and severe pain. Believe bp became too low to perfuse intestines. med was ordered to reduce load on aorta due to enlargement.

My six year old daughter was prescribed omnicef for a chronic cough and some upper respiratory infections. She took this drug for ten days. She experienced some bloody diahrrea. Even after completing taking this medicine she experience having more bloody stools. The doctor tested her stool (for cultures) it came back negative. Although she tested positive for blood in her stools. They ordered more test and are possibly thinking about surgery if she does not stop bleeding everytime she has a bowl movement. I am convinced that this medicine had something to do with her bleeding. She has always had normal stools until she started taking this medicine. If anyone is experiencing this side effect well after they have stoped taking omnicef, please contact me. My 2 year old was prescribe this medicine also, he got the worse case of diarreah that I have ever seen. His bottom is still not fully recovered from the rash and it has been a month now. He had the perfect bottom. WARNING DO NOT GIVE THIS ANTIBIOTIC TO YOUR CHILD. THERE ARE WORSE SIDE EFFECTS THAT ARE NOT LISTED.

I'M 27YRS OLD AND HAVE SUFFERED FROM OCCATIONAL BOUTS OF ASTHMA ALL OF MY LIFE. I BEGAN TO TAKE THE SAMPLE ADVAIR THE SAME DAY AND BEGAN TO EXPERINCE SYMPTOM FREE DAYS FROM THEN ON. THE DR WANTED TO SEE ME 2 WEEKS FROM THE DAY I WENT TO VISIT HIM FROM THE ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT. TO MY AMAZEMENT WHEN I WAS WEIGHED BY THE NURSE I HAD WENT FROM 203 TO 211. I NEVER SUSPECTED THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY THE ADVAIR. ALARMED BY THE RAPID WEIGHT GAIN I BEGAN A RIGOROUS EXERCISE CAMPAIGN. TWICE A DAY IN THE GYM [ONCE IN THE MORNING 45MINS OF CARDIO AND ABS AND ONCE AT NIGHT 15MINS OF CARDIO FOLLOWED BY 45-60MINS OF WEIGHT TRAINING. I HAVE LITERALLY ATE GRILLED FISH WITH STEAMED VEGGIES TWICE A DAY FOR THREE WEEKS. IHAVE ALSO CUT MY SUGAR INTAKE TO ZERO NO SWEETS, COKES, STRICTLY WATER AND WATER ONLY. BOUND AND DETERMINED TO GET BACK INTO SHAPE AND LOSE THE WEIGHT I STARTED TO EXPERIENCE MUSCLE FATIGE W/SORENESS IN THE LOWER LEG ALONG WITH SEVERE UPPERBACK AND NECK PAIN, BLOODY STOOLS ALONG WITH FREQUENT BLOODY NOSES ACCOMPANIEDTHE OTHER SYMPTOMS. I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT I WAS FALLING APART AT SUCH AN EARLY AGE. I COUNTINUED WITH MY DIET AND WORKOUT, HAVE TOOK IN THE PAST 3 WEEKS EXACTLY 3 DAYS OFF FOR RECOVERY AND WEIGH MYSELF EVERY MORNING BEFORE I HAVE INGESTED ANYFOOD OR WATER. THE WEIGHT HAS INCREASE EVERYDAY NOW UP TO 219LBS!!!! LOOKING FOR ANWSER I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET LOOKING FOR REASONS, AGE, METBOLISM, DIET, MUSCLE GAIN....ETC...ETC. NO ANWSER UNTIL TONIGHT. THIS SITE EXPLAINS ALL OF MY WORRIES. I WILL STOP USING ADVAIR TO GET MY HEALTH BACK IN ORDER I HOPE THAT OTHERS WILL FOLLOW SUIT.

After 4 doses my six year old had bloody stools, when I wiped him, the toliet paper was covered in blood or "red" something .
Ive called the pediatrician who says it's the dye in the medicine... I told her the med is white. Her response was; it's the dye you cant see. I called the pharmacist, who tells me the med was changed several years ago and no longer has the red dye.
Patient First says they have never heard of this med causing blood or red stools and wants to run tests on my son.
I am finding many reports from mothers that state their child got bloody stools or red stools after using this med-- why do the doctors NOT seem to know about this side effect.

I will get a stool sample after today's bowel movement and have it tested, until then, I am very concerned and frustrated that I am getting so many different opinions from doctors.
