I was wondering if anyone has experienced very irregular periods since coming off of Yasmin. In high school I was extremely regular and could almost tell you to the hour I would be getting my period, but I had killer cramps that usually resulted in nausea and I would not be able to do anything. I went on a birth control pill that I would bleed through for 2 weeks every 2 weeks. I got off that pill and was put on Yasmin to regulate my period. Yasmin regulated my period, but did nothing for my cramps and didn't shorten my period either. I was on Yasmin for about a year and I just couldn't take it anymore. The first month I started taking Yasmin I became very depressed and cried all the time. I decided to give it a few months to see how my body adjusted. My emotions got so out of control that I would find myself crying hysterically during commercials or if someone looked at me the wrong way. I was living with one of my best friends at college whom I never fought with prior to using this pill and we had many blow out fights. I did not feel like the same person I used to be. My period has been so irregular ever since I got off the pill. I know they say it could take a few months to regulate again, but I was just wondering if the same thing happened to others.

Wow am I glad I found this site! My son has had blow out diapers with brick red stools since he started this drug. It looked like he was bleeding to death! Three or four stools a day. We will inform our pediatrician immediately.

Hi all! I have been off Yasmin for almost a month now and things have been so tough. I got diagnosed with OCD for the first time- although looking back I think that I have had it slightly my whole life. I think that the hormonoal inbalance definently contributed to my blow out.
Anyways I am getting by although things are sooo tough. My blood pressure went way down and my throat doesn't hurt very often.
Thank you guys for all of the support you gave me when I really needed it!

In July 2002 I was prescribed Levaquin 500 for a 3 week period for a deep sinus infection to try to avoid surgery. After a few days I started having joint pain that continually got worse. The day after I took my last pill the day was so bad that I could hardly get up and down. The left leg and knee was worse. That night when I undressed to shower I noticed my left knee and entire leg were at least twice the size of the other one and there was a huge bulge in the back of my knee. I began trying to figure out if there was anything different I had done or taken and the only thing I could come up with is the Levaquin. I went online and found that one of the side effects was joint, ligament, tendon and muscle pain and that it could blow out the tendons in the joint. I have told three different doctors about this and they have all said they had not heard of this before. I am still having problems with my left leg especially. The bulge is still there and gets bigger if I have to be on my feet very long. I dont know what kind of doctor I need to see. Could someone please tell me the type of doctor I need to see...Thanks
