I was on 80mg of Geodon for about 1 year. I started having uncontrolled neck and eye movements. The Dr. took me off immediately. However, I was left with the side effect called Dystonia. I have uncontrolled neck and eye movements. I have to have botox injections every 3 months in my neck and eyes. I'm left with my neck in the backwards and to the left position. I've been told that this is something I will have to live with the rest of my life. I'm in pain on a daily basis. Trying to move my head to the right side if extremely painful. I've been told other then the botox treatments which don't work that well and wear off my only other course of treatment would be brain surgery.

Has anyone on Lisinopril experienced upper GI problems such as Achalasia, trouble eating, reflux, or getting food 'stuck' in the esophagus?
My wife has lost 50 lbs in a year due to inability to eat from what was initially diagnosed as Achalasia (rare disease that affects the operation of the muscles in the esophagus and/or lower esophageal sphincter at the top of the stomach). However, Botox injections in the LES provided little relief which is not typical for Achalasia patients. She tests negative for Barrett's Syndrome and any form of Connective Tissue Disease (or arthritis).
My MD recently put me on Lisinopril (another horror story); while I was researching the drug, I noticed that it could cause muscle weakness. My wife backtracked the date that she was put on Lisinopril and it coincided with the onset of her GI problems. While monitoring her BP several times a day, she has cut back to 1/2 dose and has shown a marked improvement in the last 10 days. (It is too early to say with certainty that Lisinopril is causing the GI problems.)
Has anyone experienced similar problems?

Im not sure if this how to post. I dont see where it lets you respond
to others posts. Anyway.. my daugheter has been on toopamax since June. Shes had Migrains for years, (shes 32) in recent months
shes been hospitalized twice.. her migrains are so bad she passes out. Last time we had to call 911 for an ambulance. Anyway..
As a last resort and many people telling us to... we took her to a Chiropractor..... he has ajusted her neck a back 2 times this last week and her Migrianes are getting better little by little. She went a whole day w/o one. Amazing! So after 2 neurosurgens... and considering botox injections.. and even Migraine surgery (removal of
the frown musels) we are visiting a Chiropractor. Try it! I may work!!

I have no control over my neck muscles, my head is in the backwards and to the left position. Trying to move my neck to the right is very painful. I have to get botox injections every 3 months in my eyes and neck. The shots stop the movement for a few weeks but do nothing for the positioning of my neck as the shots weeken the muscles. I've been told I will have this the rest of my life and the only other treatment would include brain surgery. I am in pain on a daily basis, and when upset or in public the movements are greater which only causes anxiety.
