i have been on the ring for a week now, i havent had any side effects, yet. I had to get on the ring because the high estrogen level of the pill was making my hormons go crazy and creating nuts in my breats. After reading all the side effects i dont know if i want to keep using the ring. I have not had intercorse with the ring on because im scared its going to hurt me or my partner.... any help on how to avoid pain during intercose while using the ring??? will my partner feel the ring ??

I have been on Yasmin21 for 10 days. As soon as I started taking them I noticed that I was feeling different. Spotting came first and has not stopped for the 10 days I've been using them. A couple days ago I started noticing that my breats are severly tender to the point where just walking hurts them. I feel bloated and like I need to eat every couple of hours. Just yesterday I noticed my feet were looking kind of swollen and my leg has cramped up real bad which resulted in limping today. It also changed my mood from the usual happy to on the verge of tears. My sex drive is also gone and I was wondering if this happened to any other women. I decided to stop taking them until I can see a doctor in hope that he will prescribe me a different pill or another method of birth control. I will not be going back on this pill and I am still a little bit sketchy about going on any other birth control pill. All in all this pill made me feel terrible inside and out.

I sttarted taking yasmin for skin reasons and take it at night around 8pm. Every morning i have been NAUSEOUS until around lunch time. I'm incredibly THIRTSY, and am super LETHARGIC at 24! I have been on it for 11 days but after taking tonights pill and suffering from BLOATEDNESS, and my breats are SWOLLEN and TENDER! I feel SPACEY but not spacey enough to chuck the packet out immediately! I'd never say don't try it but be vigilent. I read the precautions before taking it, but was lulled into a false sense of security by it being low oestrogen doses. The onbly good thing is I am too nauseous to smoke, but also to function.

My doctor put my on Yasmin 3 months ago after Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo gave me yeast infections. Well Yasmin gave me them too and it made me totally miserable. I feel paranoid all the time, I cry about every little thing, I can't fall asleep unless I'm exhausted, I have acne, my breats are sore almost all the time, and recently I noticed that my hair is falling out more than it used to. I got on the pill to help with cramps, and it has. But all the side effects are not worth it to me. I stopped taking it today in the middle of my pack because I don't want to lose any more hair! I want to try another brand but I'm afraid that I'll be miserable again. I'm goning to get an appointment sometime soon and hopefully get on something that works for me.

I started doxycycline 3 days ago for an STD which I'm not even sure I have, but the doctor felt it necessary to give me medication for it any way. I've had severe nausia and vomiting and I have to drink a full bottle of water to keep it down. I have slight chest pain right inbetween my breats, a constant headache, dizziness, fatigue, loss of appetite espcially in the morning.

I've been on Yasmin for a couple of months, and I'm very happy with it. - No bloating or weight gain, my breats went up a size in the first three weeks and were tender, but the tenderness faded and I feel great.
My appetite has increased slightly, and water consumption - I have to be a little more careful in that I become dehydrated a little easier, do I drink plenty of water. It's cleared my skin up marvelously, and as a side bonus, I was booked in to see a dermatologist about hair loss, but since taking yasmin I've stopped shedding and my hair is actually growing thicker and feels softer.
I haven't experienced mood swings with yasmin, if anything it seems to be improved, particularly a few hours after taking the pill.
I do have to take them at night though, as I find it makes me a little sleepy.

I have read several of your comments and a lot of us are on the same page. I am 40 and considered going off the pill, but the benefits of staying on the pill outweigh the risks of going off in my case. I have just started my second week on this pill (my insurance no longer covered Mircette). I have been extremely bloated, with gas and my breast and nipples are so tender I could cry. I do know that for those of you who want to stop taking this pill, wait until you finish your pack, don't stop in the middle. I also would like to recommend to women under 35 that a tri-phasic pill is typically what is recommended. Loestrin is a mono-phasic pill...which means you are getting the same dose of hormones throughout the month versus 3 gradual levels. This may be why a lot of you are experiencing worse side effects. I know after I turned 35 the tri-phasic pills for me were getting worse, I was on edge and irritable and didn't feel good. I then switched to Mircette which is a bi-phasic pill. That was so wonderful for me, probably because my own natural hormones are beginning to change, but my insurance stopped covering it. If my symptoms continue, I am going to stop taking this pill when I am done with the pack.
