I have been taking Lipitor for only about a month, but already I have had side effects from this drug. What led me to this site was a search for Lipitor side effects, while I was searching for what may have caused the development of a couple of blue/purple/yellowish "bruises" on one of my breasts. I have also been having leg cramps during the day. I never put these symptoms together or ever thought of them as being side effects from the Lipitor until reading all this and it has dawned on me that nothing like this has ever happened to me until the past month when I started taking Lipitor for high cholesterol. I am also diabetic. I know that my mother takes Lipitor and her skin bruises easily, which made me wonder if it was the Lipitor causing my breast to bruise, but it hasn't been hit or anything like that.. just showed up as two little bruises, except one of them is getting darker instead of fading away. I'm supposed to go back to the doctor the end of the month. My husband doesn't want me to take any more of the Lipitor. I think I will search for alternative methods in dealing with my high cholesterol!

My 21 month old son started Singulair a little over a month ago. I didn't notice the correlation between the change in his behavior and when he started taking it, bad mommy! I realized it today....
Starting 3 weeks or so ago, he stopped taking daytime naps for me. He also stopped going to bed until 11 pm at night, and was absolutely WIRED all day long. He has been extremely moody,
and hyper to say the least. I am WORN out from this, because I am 7 months pregnant! He has been very defiant and disobedient. He wakes up multiple times at night, and hates sleeping in his own bed.
He also STILL keeps horrible allergies, ear infections, and the like. He bruises easily now, and takes forever for his 'boo boos' to heal... even small scratches. I don't know why I didn't notice the correlation earlier, but I do now, and I hope someone can benefit from reading this! I don't think I'd recommend singulair for any child now. Tonight is our first night without it, and so far he is in bed by 8 pm. Hopefully things will get better here on out.

My daughter was placed on Zyrtec and Singulair as well as a nasal spray (Rhinocort) approximately two years ago due to her having food and enviromental allergies. I too have noticed a change in my daughter's behavior i.e., irritability, mood swings, etc. and she bruises easily. Has anyone else experienced this? After reading all of these side effects I am taking my child off this medication immediately.
