I hate this pill. Im nauseated, cramping, bloated, angry, have high axiety, cry at the drop of a hat, leg pain, headaches, bubbles in my stomach. and it even gave me an infection canadisis (like a yeast infection of the skin). which I found out was actually a symptom of this pill! I want to switch so bad. But i have been on and off this freaking pill three times this year. Im worried that if i switch to a different birth control I'll just experience new horrible symptoms. Luckily no weight gain though. but horrible break outs as well.

OK. I started taking this pill on the 3rd of June. I have missed about 4 pills (We dont' mind if we end up preggo, I am on the pills for a different reason.) and I have been on my period for 2 days now. I have had severe breast tenderness, and yesterday my breasts were "drawing" like they do when you need to nurse your baby. Lastnight I ended up squeezing on them a little just to see if anything was there, and little bubbles of Milk came out. I haven't read ANYTHING about this anywhere, and my doctor says that it is a side effect to the Loestrin. But my doctor is a sort of a quack in my opinion. Anyway, if anyone can give me some insight on this I would greatly appreciate it....Thanks.

Ok. I am in the 3rd week of the pills and I've missed about 4 pills total. Me and the Hubbs aren't really worried about getting pregnant or not getting pregnant because we're not on the pills for that reason. The past 5 days I've had severe breast tenderness and yesterday I started having "drawing" in my breast (if you've breast-fed before then you understand what I mean, you feel like you need to nurse your baby before your boobs explode). Last night I squeezed my breast a little and bubbles of "milk" came out. My doctor says that its the normal side effects of the pill but I have NEVER experienced anything like this before due to the pill; and I can't find ANYTHING that says this is normal. Can anyone give me some insight to this, please?

My daughter 8 has been on Advair 3 years for asthma. Prior to, she was always a happy little girl, fit and healthy.

Some of the new things I noticed as the months progressed were severe mood swings, weight gain, and unexplained reoccurring rash on her feet, legs and thighs. They appeared like Mosquito bites and turned into blisters, not the pediatrician or even an Dermatologist could diagnose it, yet it would appear almost monthly. She has complained of "bubbles" in her eyesight, she developed this squinting, we had her eyes checked several times by eye doctors but told there was nothing wrong.
She has also experienced blackouts, after extensive tests a Neurologist concluded that she had Aura (sp?) migraines and referred to her squinting as a tick.
I feel like I have lost 3 years of my child's life that I cannot get back. She finally has been weaned off it. It has been only a few days with no Advair. I hope for no lasting adverse affects.
My 5 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with asthma and I noticed he is no longer prescribing Advair for children, I would refuse it, if he did.

An element of the side effects of Singulair that are listed here are musculo-skeletal symptoms. Quinolones such as levaquin are known to cause those issues. Singulair is a quinoline, while not the exact same category, their roots are similar. It makes the possibility that the symptoms have a common cause worth pursuing.

Here is an example of some poor rats in Tokyo that were selected to prove that the symptoms in humans were real. Maybe we should tell the levaquin board that at least some of their problems have been known since 1997.

Toxic effects of quinolone antibacterial agents on the musculoskeletal system in juvenile rats.Kashida Y, Kato M.
Drug Safety Research Laboratory, Daiichi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan. JDN07402@niftyserve.or.jp

Quinolone antibacterial agents have adverse effects on the musculoskeletal system in humans, consisting mainly of myalgia and arthralgia, and additionally of tendon disorders and rhabdomyolysis. The present study was conducted to examine the toxic effects of quinolones on the musculoskeletal system in juvenile rats using light microscopy, 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine (BrdU) immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy. Single oral administration of 900 mg/kg pefloxacin (PFLX) or levofloxacin (LVFX) was found to induce lesions in the muscle + fascia, tendon + sheath, and synovial membrane, in addition to articular cartilage in the fore- and hindlimbs. Articular cartilage lesions were not necessarily associated with changes in the muscle, tendon, and synovial membrane, or the reverse. Among all lesions, the ankle and elbow showed the highest incidence and severity. Changes were more severe in the PFLX than in the LVFX group. Lesions in the muscle + fascia, tendon + sheath, and synovial membrane were similar and characterized by edema and increased number of mononuclear cells, many of which were positively stained with BrdU, as well as vascular endothelial cells in the Achilles tendon sheath and synovial membrane in the ankle. Electron microscopic examination revealed an increased number of fibroblasts and macrophages and collagen deposition in the matrix of the synovial membrane and tendon sheath. Capillary endothelial cells were hypertrophied, increased in number, and stratified. These results suggest that quinolones have toxic potentials in the muscle, tendon, and synovial membrane in addition to articular cartilage, and that local vascular hyperpermeability may contribute to the development of these lesions.

I am 42, no children, never pregnant.
I had Mirena inserted about 7 months ago.

I thought I finally found THE REMEDY against heavy periods and condom use.

Since then I've had practically constant spotting. My period (heavy, as usual) followed by spotting. The first couple of months continuous blood loss, the last 2 months it was 3 weeks of bleeding (1st week heavy), only 1 week not.

Because of all the blood loss, there is no doubt I have am low on ferritin, thus and suffering from an iron deficiency. I am tired and lack energy. There is no drive to take any action whatsoever. Could be lack of iron, could be Mirena...

I wear contact lenses and had a left EYE that showed bubbles, the surface wasn't flat anymore. My eye was irritating. Not suspecting/thinking of any relation to Mirena, I went to see 3 different ophthalmologists, 5 visits in total. I took every kind of medicine you can imagine against viral and bacterial infections (as heavy as Prednisolone) etc. They only made things worse. None of the ophthalmologists actually found the origin of my "bubbles". Finally, triggered by the fact that my eye problems started at about the same time as I had my Mirena inserted, I started to do some research on the internet and found a website describing scientific research on mice that stated that sex hormones influence the surface of the eye... All of a sudden all became crystal clear to me....

My THROAT is sore. Like having acid reflux. I went to see my doctor, had and echo done, went to see an ENT-specialist to looked into my throat with a camera. No one found anything special (except a red throat). I am practically sure that this phenomenon has to do with Mirena as well as I also have this problem since I have Mirena (and not ever before...).

I have all kinds of strange pains in my MUSCLES and JOINTS, especially in the lower BACK (which is hurting a lot like a hernia - I never have had back pains in that area before) but also my elbow and fingers and thumb. Sometimes my right leg is just paralyzed for a 10 secs and I am hardly able to raise my foot to walk. I feel like an old woman.

I feel SWOLLEN in my stomach, sometimes have slight pains or a weird feeling. I have the impression I can feel the IUD, especially at some movements.

I've had very sore BREASTS for some time (weeks in a row), but that's over now.

I sometimes suffer on and off from CONSTIPATION, which is very unusual (especially with my healthy diet (practically vegetarian, regularly organic food, lots of whole-wheat items, fruits and vegetables).

I always had some ACNE but it has gotten significantly worse.

I SWEAT at night and more easily during the day, something I never used to.

I lack sex drive and for the first time in my life I experienced intimate dryness. This is the best birth control I've ever experienced, because I have no LIBIDO at all...

Overall I am not feeling good / active / in good physical shape with my normal energy/drive. Also my MOOD has not been so optimistic as usual.

I am definitively going to have this Mirena taken out. Toooo many problems with this type of "birth control". It coasted me a lot of money and time, months of health problems. Back to condoms again. Something I am not looking forward to... but I do look forward in getting my libido back...

The thing that really makes me angry is that it is still is up to the women to stuff themselves with hormones. Why, in the last 40 years or so that the birth control pill exists (and I've taken it for 15 years or so, bloating me and killing my libido...), medicine never has come up with birth control for men???
I've had it with hormones. No more for me. I eagerly pass my turn is to the other 50% of the population. Let the male gender be suffering from lack of libido for some time (so women can make fun of them faking a headache...) and the rest of the side-effects of hormones. Women have enough problems with their period already... There's no justice in the way nature has arranged things and (male) scientists have only made thing worse.

I took Cipro at 200 milligrams / 6 pills / 6 days about a month ago.

I cannot/barely sleep, I'm constantly wired.

My left leg voluntarily/involuntarily twitches sporadically.

My body feels like some kind of horrible "bubbles" build up and are then released...everywhere...probably some kind of circulation thing, I don't even want to know.

My legs have nerve pain occasionally, my right arm has pain occasionally.

My digestive tract has rare pains and is irritable/snazzy...I don't know when I'm full, I barely know when I'm hungry.

I have to force myself to urinate, as my body does not give me the "I'm full, empty me" signal anymore.

I get white lines of light that streak across my vision rarely.

I lost most of my emotions except the humor I receive when I think how horrible it is. I would not wish this on my worst enemy.

My six year old daughter started taking Singulair for winter allergies about 1 year ago. After a couple of months she woke up seeing floating bubbles. These were very real hallucinations. We were back and forth with specialists for about 6 months. After she was taken off of the Singulair in the spring, the hallucinations gradually went away. We did not notice the connection. She has been back on the Singulair for one week, and last night she woke up seeing ants crawling on the bed and on her. I am stopping the medication and contacting the doctor. I would really like to know if anyone else has had similar problems.

Wow - so many of you with the same symptoms and side-effects I'm experiencing. I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen years ago with minimal side effects beyond slight weight gain during the first few months. With this pill, I feel like I've become a monster. I'm bloated and I've been bleeding for 9 days now (I started the pills the day my period ended, on the advice of my doctor. I began bleeding a week later and have not stopped.). I'm normally a very happy person, but in the 2.5 weeks I've been on this medication, my moods change faster than the weather - I go from happy to despondent over the smallest, most insignificant things and cannot be cheered up. I have constant anxiety. I've cried more in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last year. I get angry over nothing, and I feel lazy all the time. My normally above-average libido is in the toilet. Fortunately, my boyfriend is incredibly understanding and knows that the changes I'm experiencing are due to this new medication changing my body chemistry.

I don't want to be like this, though. I don't want to be angry, sad, anxious, lazy, or uninterested in sex. I don't want a month-long period for 3 months while my body adjusts. I'm not in the physical condition to be able to shrug off an extra 10 pound due to bloating, and I'm tired of popping Advil to deal with my cramps. Before I found this site, I thought maybe the symptoms would go away in the next week or so, but I've now decided I'm not waiting this one out - I'm calling my doctor and finding a different alternative. This is simply unacceptable.

Also, I know it has nothing to do with the effectiveness of the medication, but their website disgusts me. "Cammie's Story"? If they spent half that advertising budget on research to eliminate the horrible side effects of their product, perhaps the pill would sell itself.

I am 17 yrs old, and am taking Lisinopril. Yes, I know I shouldn't have high blood pressure at this age, but I do and my average BP is 156/101. X.X

Since taking this medication, I have been extremely tired (this could also be due to the fact I do not get to sleep until about 3AM) when I do get up I just use the bathroom and go right back to bed. Until about 4PM... I also have trouble getting to sleep. This may not have anything to do with this medication, but it sort of feels like bubbles popping in my stomach. I feel like I really need to pass gas, but I can't. When outside in the heat, I can actually feel my heartbeat racing. I haven't ever been able to feel it before.

Been on femoden Ed for 10 years and got sick of all the water retention and bloating it was giving me and I heard of this new miracle drug Yasmin. I am not one to moan about much and have never had problems with my skin but even though I was a lot lighter due to the water retention vanishing I payed for it by having discusting dry skin with bubbles in it and itching, felt unusually tired, had a panic attack which through me out after getting married and honeymooning in hawaii so I wasn't exactly unhappy about much. I think all pills have slight side effects really and when you think about it you are pumping hormones into your body but this one has got side effects screaming out it. I would have rather had put up with bloating once a month but Yasmin has turned me off the pill altogether.

I am experiencing extreme sensitivity in both feet. My feet constantly ache but there is also a slight numbness as well. It's almost hard to put into words the way my feet feel, I just know how uncomfortable it is to walk, especially standing alone. I've tried putting them up on a pillow, I'm using a foot spa with bubbles massager, I'm taking tylenol and I do not get any relief. I stopped taking the medication for a few days to see if that will help and I feel it's safe to do considering I have only 1 week of my prescription left in the bottle and I have been taking this RX since 3/01/04.
