I just turned 34 and I am a woman. I have struggled with mild asthma from early teens. I was always able to control my mild asthma with a rescue inhaler as my asthma was triggered primarily by cats/some dogs. However eventually that faded away and I was in control as long as I wasn't around cats. At age 31, I had my daughter (she is now 2 1/2), I rarely had asthma symptoms during my pregnancy and before. However about 1 week after my c-section I had to go to the ER because I couldn't breathe. They thought maybe I was having a pulmonary embolism from the previous c-section surgery. Fortunately I wasn't, but unfortunately for whatever reason, my asthma had been triggered (even if I wasn't around animals). My doctor put me on a Advair, another rescue inhaler, and ZPac. It helped right away.
I noticed a big difference in my ability to breathe. However 2 1/2 years later, I'm still on it. 250/50 once a day. I've tried going off of it several times but I'm unable to breathe. I don't want to be on a steroid long term, but I also have to be able to breathe after about 2 days being off of it. It's like gasping for every breathe. Not fun at all. The side effects I've had are hives to anything cold, itchy skin, stiffer feeling joints, occasional mouth sores, lots of phlegm (coughing up phlegm especially in the morning). I've never suffered from leg cramps or depression from Advair, in fact prior to having a child I was on Lexapro for anxiety and after being put on Advair my depression/anxiety has gone away. In fact, I've lost weight (30 Lbs) and am now down to the same size I was in college! I've asked two different doctors my OBGYN and Family Doctor if it's safe as we are planning for another child. They say yes. My OBGYN has said if I can't breathe I'm not going to be able to carry full-term. Which I guess makes sense. My Family Doctor said you can use Advair only as needed as it is not a bad drug to go off and on again (unlike antidepressants where you should never just stop them cold turkey). He said (he also suffers from asthma) that asthma can be triggered by stress (and my life has been extremely stressful over the last year).
Is there anyone who has had similar side-effects? Do you believe the benefit of Advair outweighs the negatives? I'm wondering if there is a better non-steroid drug that I can take that is SAFER for pregnancy and for my future. Open to suggestions...

I want to thank all of your ladies posting your Mirena side affects. I am 15 and just had my daughter August 3rd, after her c-section i contracted staph in my uterus, which gave me sepsis and pneumonia, which they said they have never seem before and recommended i get an IUD to prevent having any more children for at least 2 years. After reading about the risk of uterine perforation, i found this site, I cannot believe the number of side effects you can have from the IUD!! I am just shocked.
I want to thank all your ladies, I am calling the OB and canceling the Mirena order and just sticking with good, old birth control.

Wow. I had Mirena insertedin March 2009, following two years of horrible periods following my third c-section. I would have a heavy period for an average of 10 days, then get two weeks off and start again. They originally tried giving me Depo Provera - BAD! I was losing blood clots the size of my fist for three months!
At first Mirena seemed ideal, though I don't need birth control - I had a tubal ligation with my c-section. The periods were just awful! They inserted the mirena during a D&C and hysteroscopy because I also had uterine polyps. My hair is falling out (my thyroid has been checked, thank you);I have acne on my face and back; I am growing hair on my face; I am irritable; my back hurts; I am bloated; I am gaining weight even though I am on a reduced calorie diet, gave up drinking wine AND run two miles a day; I have yeast infections; sex hurts and I bleed nearly every time I have sex; I have a low sex drive now; I bleed when I exercise or go for a walk; I have ruined every pair of panties I own, and I am still having 14 day long periods. No longer heavy periods, but 14 days of bleeding, then nine days off before starting again!
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and told him all of this: his responses were that the spotting and irregular periods are likely for the FIRST YEAR (WHICH IS NOT IN THE FINE PRINT INCLUDED WITH THE MEDICATION!!!) and that doctors can't find or treat the cause of heavy periods and bleeding, only treat the symptoms.
We need to band together to demand that women's health issues are taken seriously. It is not acceptable to have a doctor say that the cause of these problems doesn't matter. Treating the cause should be the primary goal, not peddling drugs or covering up symptoms! The New York Times ran an article yesterday recommending Mirena as a solution to heavy bleeding in women! This is not a solution. And neither is a hysterectomy - I am only 31.

I had the Mirena put in 2 1/2 years ago. About six months after having my first child. At first I bleed for a month straight. It was painful to have it put in but I'm usually a wimp with that type of stuff. After the first month my periods become lighter and then not at all. At first it seemed virtually unnoticeable. But my boyfriend starting saying he could feel something poking him during sex. I also do have the worst back pain that seemed to start after having the Mirena put in. I also have acne, stomach flutters, and nausea.I also experienced anxiety and panic attacks. However, I think they were associated with my job because once I left that job my anxiety decreased. I don't know if any of these symptoms have to do with Mirena but they aren't really that bothersome. Well the back is but it's mostly in the upper back and neck area and I think it has to do with stress. I do fight with my boyfriend a lot. But unlike many others have said I don't experience rage or yell at him for no good reason. We fight cause he is a lazy jerk and that's that. LOL So all in all my experience has been pleasant but have something foreign inside of me scares me. Like many others have said, I think it's important to take all factors into account. We all get a little crazy and stressed out. :)

I have been on the web for over a week now trying to get some answers. Dec 2008 I gave birth to twins. We may want more children later, but wanted to wait. So in Feb 2009 I got the Mirena placed. I had a period Feb, Mar,Apr. But have not had one since. I have had breast tenderness, migraines, fluttering in lower stomach, pitching pains in my cervix. I had a c-section, so I am not exactly sure what it feels like to have your cervix completely dilated, but I went into labor 4 times before having my twins. So it's that similar pain. I honestly feel pregnant. Way tired, not wanting to eat. I have taken test after test, but all are negative. Was wondering if anyone else has gotten pregnant and had a negative result. I am going to the doctor Thursday, and there is a great possibility of removal.

In march Of .09 I had the mirena Inserted, It hurt Like nothing I have experienced. "I had a c-section when My daughter was born", I loved it I had some cramping some nausea here and their right around when i was suppose to start my period. This past month I started to feel nauseous and had a feeling like I might be and pregnant, i went to go get a home pregnancy test and it cam out positive. Later that week I went swimming with my daughter came home and started to experience some heavy cramping that wrapped around my back, I was determined to go to the er and have it removed and get tested to make sure that I'm am are Im not. the test came back negative and the doctor refused to take it out... errr.
So in the next week are 2 my symptoms get worse to the point were I can not bare it, I was constantly nauseous and had horrible cramping. and my period wasn't due for some time, I even noticed My blood pressure rising when i was in a confrontation with another lady. and had to walk away; Just this Monday I had it removed which I didn't hurt when the doc pulled it. humm.
I felt the symptoms almost vanished until a couple of days later when I started to feel nauseous again, Hopefully I will feel a 100% percent better here soon. I do not recommend the mirena for anyone

I've had my mirena in since September 07 (6 weeks after my son was born) The insertion was unbearable. I felt it was almost as uncomfortable than my c-section. After the first couple of days the cramps got a lot better. But 3-4 months later I started losing a loooooooot of hair. And I have very thick hair. The bathtub would clog about twice a month & my husband would have to pull all of the hair out of the drain. My hair got real greasy, to where I stopped putting conditioner on my hair, otherwise it would have been even more greasier. I get horrible migraine's to where all you can do is just lay your head down in the dark. Then all those symptoms disappeared for about a month or two then some would come back. After I have sex sometimes I get really bad cramps (feel like period cramps) & i'll bleed after. It hurts so bad you just want to curl in a ball. After reading all your guys comments & now believing i'm not losing my mind, i'll be getting it removed very soon!

I have had Mirena for 7 months. The first three months I bleed every single day. The past four months I haven't had a period at all. Not to mention the worst pain that would be comparable to a c-section after a week. I have gained weight but worst of all I got PID ( Pelvic Inflammatory Disease) because of this. I am married and both my husband and I are extremely faithful. Now I am looking at a lot more problems all because of this IUD. This is by far the worst birth control I HAVE EVER BEEN INTRODUCED TO.
I wanted to attempt to have one more child later in the future now because of this I may not be able to have anymore children. I have two beautiful boys one 8months old and one 2 years. I waited four months before seeking care due to the fact that I lost my insurance. That is what hurt me the most. Because I waited so long there may be abscesses that my cause me to have a Hysterectomy which then crushes my dreams of trying for a girl.

I had the Mirena put in at my six week check-up. I have to admit its kinda painful but its not THAT bad. I'm am 23 and my husband and I jsut had our first child March 09...I BEAUTIFUL baby girl. I thought this was the best BC for me as well. My only complaint is that I am still bleeding since It was put in. I've had it almost 2 months now and its starting to get on my nerves. IF it does stop....as soon as my husband and I have sex it will start back. :( I have mood swings like crazy but I'm not sure if its being caused by the Mirena or not. I often get HOT to the point of passing out almost too and then it will just go away...hate that too. I def say to someone who is thinking about getting it to just try and see if it will work for you. I still have the same sex drive I've always had (YAY), my weight is wonderful...I've lost it all and then some. I guess its different for different people. I'm going to keep mine inless I have a huge problem with it but that hasn't been the case yet. Like I said earlier, its gonna hurt a little but its nothing that doesn't go away in like 2 mins.....its super quick!
Also my Doc said that the BEST time to have it inserted was when you have your first period and thats what I did!!!
>>>I had a C-section too....

I haven't really had any adverse side effects in particular from my mirena. The insertion of my Mirena was a nightmare though. I have had three children, all of them via c-section and my doctor neglected to inform me about the insertion process in general. That it would be much easier for her to insert it had I had my children vaginally.
I went to my doctor and they got ready to insert my mirena and realized that the tool that they used to open my cervix and insert it was too short since my cervix is apparently very far up. So they had to go fetch a longer set of scary looking tongs. They then proceeded with the insertion which hurt so badly that I started crying. My poor husband had to hold me down on the table it hurt so bad. Then, after all was said and done she decided to ask me if I had ever dilated and I told her only with my first daughter and only to 7 1/2 cm. She then decided to tell me that was why the insertion was so difficult. That was, by far, the worst pain I have ever been in I believe.
After the insertion I had some pretty bad cramps and bled for a day or two but I haven't experienced anything other than that. Well, I do occasionally have a kind of sharp pain in my abdomen. I suppose it might be my uterus but hopefully it's all okay because I SERIOUSLY DREAD getting this mirena out. They will have to put me to sleep or give me a bunch of pills in order to get it out. I don't want to go through that pain again

Hi,
I have had my Mirena since March 2007 and until Nov 2008 have not had any real complications. I do still have a period, it's lighter but lasts just as long. In Nov 2008, I started having problems with dizziness, stomach pain, nausea and at the time I was diagnosed with an inner ear infection, I also had a CT scan done which was normal. But after taking the antibiotics as prescribed the symptoms persisted for 3 weeks then went away. It all started again in Feb 2009, waking with severe nausea every morning, loss of appetite, tired and stomach pain. I went to the ER and had bloodwork which was normal, and a urinalysis, which showed a UTI infection. I was given antibiotics for this, but yet the symptoms persisted for 3 weeks. Both of these episodes followed my menstrual cycle. After the last bout, in which I feel completely normal, it started again. My period was two weeks late this month (March 09) it started on March 18th and on March 19th I started experiencing all these symptoms all over again. I have, bloodwork, preg tests, a colonoscopy, a stool sample, and a pelvic ultrasound, all of which have been normal. I am scheduled in a week to have an ultrasound of my gallbladder, but I really don't think that's my issue. I have lost weight, have no appetite, and wake every morning at the same time with nausea. I am seeing my family Doctor again tomorrow, he has discussed sending me to an ENT, but he is also removing the IUD tomorrow. He is doubtful that it is causing these problems after two years, but said strange things happen so better remove it to be safe.

i heard about the mirena after i gave birth to my son. at 20yrs old, i did not want another child so i thought mirena was the way to go. i had a c-section with my son. i've had bad stomach problems, diarrhea, migraines, BLOOD in my kidneys, Uterus infection, dizziness, really bad nausea, pain in my incision(from the c-)(I SWEAR I CAN FEEL THE MIRENA IN MY SCAR!!!),sleeplessness etc. ever since they put it in 9 days ago. i went to the doctor and they told me there was no way it could be the mirena doing this to me and the B**ch doctor told me" well i just inserted $700 in you, im not taking it out until you have had it in for 3 months." i am afraid to have it in any longer especially after reading this site and seeing what it has done to all you other women. WHAT SHALL I DO? anyone please tell me, im willing to listen. --Miserable in C.R. ,I.

I just got the Mirena about 4 weeks ago and have not had any symptoms outside of my normal PMS symptoms...until today. My ENTIRE abdomen is swollen and tender to touch, and I have so much gas built up I feel like exploding. Nothing is helping this issue. I have contracted the flu on the first day of my period and this may only be related to the flu (although I've never had this happen with the flu before). Has anyone ever felt like this? I can't even turn over in bed the pain is so great.

I had my first baby Nov. 4th, 2008 and got Mirena Dec. 25th, 2008. I did not want to be on the pill again because I never had an orgasm until I came off of it (sorry if TMI). I had a c-section, so of course my belly was sore for a while. I had lots of light bleeding for weeks after insertion and then it stopped. Now, I have been bleeding lightly for over a week again off and on, and my belly is sore inside. I don't know if this pain is from Mirena or from my internal incision? Also, if I insert my fingers I can feel something inside me (the string maybe?). My husband complains of this "poking" him during sex. He says it feels like a pin. I DO NOT want another child, not at this point anyways, but I don't know that this Mirena is for me. I should just get my tubes tied, but what if I decide I want another baby down the line?? This is so confusing for me. I really don't want the hormones and chemicals from BC again. I also have to take several mood-altering meds because I have been on a rollercoaster with my moods. I had depression problems my whole life, so I didn't associate it with Mirena until reading your posts here.

I am a 37 year old Mom of 4 children. All were c-section babies. I had my tubes tied after the 4th child. She is now 2 years old. I went in to my OB/GYN complaining of uncontrollable bleeding and crazy heavy periods that lasted up to 14 days and left me feeling fatigued and miserable. I was given an extensive ultrasound. No abnormalities seen except for an elongated uterus. I was not a candidate for ablation, and they felt I was too "young" to consider a partial hysterectomy. So they pushed the MIRENA. I asked a million questions. I was only told how wonderful it is and that I should respond well to MIRENA. I used a contraceptive patch for my wedding and honeymoon, so that I wouldn't have my awful period through it. Then a week after the honeymoon was drug free. Then I had MIRENA inserted in surgery under anesthesia after a dnc. I bled for a month and a week straight. Then it slowed and stopped. I still had 10 day cycles for 5 months, not as heavy as before but not the light ones I read about either. This month I only had a three day cycle. As for all the symptoms, I truly thought it was stress... as I run my own business have a new husband and 4 children and am in a nasty custody battle over my first three kids with the ex husband. I've never experianced acne breakouts until MIRENA, I am so exhausted and never feel rested when I scrape myself off the mattress, and I have breakthrough bleeding after every time we have intercourse. I feel like I have pms daily and have been dieting with no results. I even went to my GP and tried a prescription weight loss drug to boost my weight watcher's efforts. I no longer have insurance to cover having it out, and can't afford the hysterectomy I actually need. I feel relieved that I am not the only one, but trapped by a doctor who should have listened to me when I told her I don't do well on hormone drugs and that I really just don't need my poor scarred and tired uterus any more.
Thanks for sharing.

I'm reading everyone's symptoms from the Mirena IUD and now I wish I never had it inserted. I had and IUD in for almost 6 years and had to trade it in for a new one. Not sure if my former one was Mirena because I didn't have bad side effects like now. In December I had the Mirena inserted and it was a very painful insert for me this time around as well. I immediately felt heavy cramping and couldn't stand up from the table it hurt so bad. I kept telling my GYN that maybe it was inserted incorrectly and she looked at me like I had 3 heads. She gave me Advil and told me to let it settle in. Needless to say I had some cramping for the rest of the day. 2 weeks later I got my first period following the procedure. It was normal, lasted about 10 days (longer than usual) and then went away. Yesterday, out of nowhere and only 1 week after it stopped, I experienced extremely red and heavy bleeding and clotting the size of my fist. I almost thought I was having a miscarriage or something. It's crazy how much cramping followed. I have been feeling strange all week, getting bad pimples on my face, gained a lot of weight over the holidays without really going overboard on eating, sex has been a bit painful and leaving pain in my lower abdomen. I've NEVER bled this much in my life. Not even after giving birth to two kids via C-section. It's pretty scary. I'm wondering if I made a big mistake. Never had problems like this with the last IUD. Leaving messages for my doctor but should I be worried???

i had my mirena placed about a month ago. my ob has one and she said she loves it and it is better than the shot or pills. so i thought i could give it a try. i didn't have a normal delivery and had to have a c-section. when we went to have the mirena placed the nurse told me that normally you still need to be dilated for the placement...and i wasn't. so needless to say the placement was horrible!! i had extreme cramping when she put it in, it felt like she was stapling it in(seriously), and i also felt the urge to pee all over her....oh it was horrible!!!! and that wasn't even the first of it. not only am i bleeding like crazy with HUGE clots, i had felt like the mirena moved cause i could feel the threads poking out. so i made an appt to go in, so they do a internal ultrasound and it was in place but the threads had mysteriously grown....my ob trimmed the threads and said that the bleeding will go away. (it still hasn't) this past week i have debilitating migraines and HORRIBLE cramps i have never had them before, so i look up side effects and i found this site and thank god i did. i also noticed that i am in a fog, like i am out of it all the time and all i want to do is sleep. and on top of all of that it feels like there is a rake inside my hoo-ha!! my husband and i have not had sex since it was placed. he is afraid it will hurt him...i don't blame him...it hurts me!! i can't believe i had this done!!! i am calling this morning to have it removed, i just wish i knew about this before!!!

I used Nuva Ring after the birth of my first child in 2003 until I decided to get pregnant again in 2007. I've always had a low sex drive, so I never suspected Nuva Ring could be the culprit, but after reading some of the testimonials, I'm wondering...By the way, after I stopped taking it, my sex drive soared - I was having the time of my life and so was my hubby. We got pregnant right away.
I just went back on the NuvaRing 2 months ago after the birth of my second child, which was a scheduled c-section (no harm done to the vaginal area in other words). We've had sex about four times since I started birth control again and it has been extremely painful every time. When I'm not on my period, I'm experiencing a yellow discharge accompanied by some minor irritation. I have been wearing a pad around the clock for literally 3 months! I started bleeding (a period I guess) the day after I started the NuvaRing for the first time. When I called my ob, she said it was a normal side effect of the Ring and to keep it in business as usual until I was scheduled to take it out again in 3 weeks. I bleed the entire 4 weeks until inserting my second NuvaRing. We've had sex twice since and it was almost unbearably painful both times. Now, I am experiencing a yellow discharge again accompanied by some minor itching and discomfort. My ob again said it is a normal side effect but just in case, prescribed a yeast infection med. I completed the course and still have the symptoms.
I loved this product and highly recommended it to my friends for the past 5 years - it is so easy! Now I'm wondering if they've changed it over the past year? Plus, the last thing I need is an even lower sex drive.

I had Mirena put in 6 weeks post pardom with my third child with a c-section. The insertion was the worst thing ever!! And my Doctor didn't warn and I almost pasted out. I have no sex drive, painful intercourse, vaginal dryness, burning during urination, massive head aches, blurry vision, mood swings, emotional distress and serious weight gain problems. I too was coxed into this option by my doctor and he said it was so easy and had almost no side effects. I guess this is what I get for taking a mans word!!! I do however have little to no period, but now I am wondering if that is the problem. I mean our bodies our supposed to go through cycles....maybe this thing really screwed something up. I am calling my doctor tomorrow to schedule having it removed. I am hoping I can get my hands on a valium first though....it hurt like Hell last time. I guess I should have looked up some of this stuff in the first place...with what I see here, I would have never had this thing put in.

It's so funny...I completely thought I was crazy. I have an almost 5 month old and I kept thinking my hormones were just screwed up. She is my third child and it is horrible trying to take care of them with these severe side effects. I have had horrible constant headaches..as soon as I take something- Excedrin, Advil, Tylenol- it comes back within an hour. The pain is constant. I have had terrible back pain, depression, weight gain- I have been trying to lose the baby weight and I am only putting on more- abdominal pain, absolutely no patience with my children, frequent aches and pains, massive hot flashes (and I'm only 29), and running to pee all of the time (and I feel like I'm finished but I get up and I'm not!). And don't even get me started on what it did to my period. With the exception of about a week and a half I have had it constantly since it was inserted 3 1/2 months ago. And it goes from non-existent so I think it's over to full on with-sorry to be gross- terrible cramps and clots. I NEVER had a problem with cramping before. I don't even feel like the same person I was before I was on it. I have had no "baby blues" with any of my three children so I know that isn't the reason I feel so off- I can't keep my emotions straight. After I had the baby, I felt really good besides my abdomen being tender and my incision pain from the c section. I can't believe the drastic turn of events since I got this thing put in. Thank you everyone for your experiences- I don't feel like a lunatic anymore. I felt so guilty for my children, husband, family because I feel so bad- sad and sore- and I felt like all I did was complain for no reason.

I had my mirena inserted in Dec. 2007 (shortly after I delivered my daughter via c-section). My libido took a nose dive right away, I became really irritable, bloated, and I would get sharp pains just above my pubic bone. Not long after all that, my face started developing these little bumps, that short of resemble a zit, only they don't go away, and you can try to "pop" them like a zit. They started slowly, a few near my chin, and now they have traveled up to my cheeks, and under my eyes, and a few on my forehead. I had the mirena removed Sept 2008, and now a month. and an antibiotic lotion later, they are still there. I wouldn't have jumped the gun in thinking that the mirena had caused the bumps, until I started talking to a few of my friends. One who had hers inserted in Dec. as well, has even worse bumps on her face, and has an appt to have hers removed in 2 weeks., another who loves the mirena, but can't figure out why her face it getting these bumps!
They feel like zits, and kind of hurt, but when you mess with them nothing comes out, and they get more red, and spread. My fam doctor, prescribed Clindamycin, and it has done nothing but dry my skin out. Going to a derm today...wish me luck :)

I too am one of the many women who wishes that she would have seen this site before getting the Mirena! I thought that I was dealing with some sort of postpartum depression. My MD had me convinced that NONE of the side affects that I am experiencing are Mirena related. Now after reading all of this I know I'm not the only one!
I had my son May of this year. Before I had him my MD had talked to me about the choice of a birth control after birth. Well I knew very little of Mirena, but once my MD had explained it I was SOLD! No kids for 5 years (not looking to have my next one until about that time) and "little to no side effects." What could have been better. He was singing music to my ears about Mirena. 6 weeks after my c-section I went in for my follow up and was given the ok to get it. I was told that the procedure shouldn't hurt. Liars. I can't believe that they don't numb you for that. Hello.....YOU ARE MANUALLY DIALATING MY CERVIX!!! I bled that day and afterwards and the cramps were out of this world! The doctor just told me to take the left over vicodin I had from my c-section. Two weeks later the craps were still in full throttle!
A few weeks after the insertion I was starting to to become this other person. Mood swings and a total bitch came out of me. My poor husband got the bad end of it. He thought it was postpartum and just let it be. A while after that I began to feel bloated and I started to gain the pregnancy weight back. I wasn't eating any different so I know something was not right. Fatigue was another effect that set in around the same time. I thought it was just trying to adjust with a baby in the house but here it is 5 months later and I have no energy. I promised myself I was going to start going to the gym and I can't muscle up the energy to do that. I'm wiped out by the day's end with taking care of the baby and getting simple house chores done. Also my back hurts ALL THE TIME. I thought that it might have been from the epidural but now I think not. I've always had some breakouts but not that bad. Now I break out all the time, and they are bad. Not to mention that I'm getting breakouts all over my neck, chest and back. I've never broken out like this on my body before. Not even when I was pregnant. Even more recent is my hair that is starting to come out in alarming clumps. I can get a good fistfull in the shower when I'm ringing my hair out, another good one when I blow dry it, and then just randomly during the day. For the most part I've always had thick hair and I'm noticing a DRAMATIC difference!
I've made several calls to my md about the cramps and the things I'm going through and he asked me to just give it a few more months. I'm going to call ASAP and demand that this thing comes out!

Hey everyone, I have had issues too. Mine started when I had my Mirena placed. I was 5 weeks post partum. Felt great before that. I had a c-section and still was ok.
About a month later I realized my legs were always sore. It felt like I wore 5" heels and walked 5 miles the night before. Even the bottom of my feet hurt.
I started to put 2 and 2 together and also noted my migraines, light headedness and extremely tired, not to mention my sex drive went from 8 to zero!
I called my OB and they said I have to see my primary doctor because they won't see me for leg cramps. I told the nurse it is b/c of the Mirena...blah blah blah.
I went to my Primary doctor who knows nothing about birth control (or not as much as an OB). He said post pregnancy will bring on things like anemia and thyroid issues.
I was ok until I had this put in. I know my blood work will come back ok and that makes me so mad!
I go in Oct for my 6 mo checkup with the OB and I am having it removed. It is not worth how I feel. I don't want another baby right now but I guess it is back to the pill and calendar method.

I've had it in for 7months now and all they did was put me on menopause pills for 2 weeks to stop the bleeding. And if I complained to the them about pain of any kind they said take a couple pain killers. I had a irregular pap which I've never had in my life and they said wait til next year to see if it clears on its own. I don't even think my c-section has healed enough for the iud and they said it was fine I think it was just a scam! I'm still bleeding still in pain and I don't think 23 yr olds should be on menopause pills. Those jerks didn't even tell me what kind of pills they were I found out on my own. I worried that it will only get worst. At time I feel like I might faint. What does one do if the doctors try desperately to find way for you to keep it in?
