I have had Mirena inserted about three weeks ago. Putting the IUD was not painful, but was not prepared for the major cramping that came right away. since then I have had cramping ( like the first day of menstrual cycle) which seeed tone triggeresd by my urination, and bleeding pretty much everyday. I had to take 2 ibuprofin (800 mg) to deal with the pain. My hair started to fall out and I thought it was a result of having the baby. My skin was itchy (didn't know why).
My doctor has checked me 2 times. The last time was this thursday (10/18) and my mission was to remove it. She checked my urine (fine), did a pelvic and ultrasound ( fine). Dr.gave me a prescription for antibiotics for week to see if my symptoms will improve.
However, after reading all these blogs, I just cannot deal with the pain, unpredictability of when the bleeding will start, having little or no sex life (husband is not happy about that), I am going to have it removed ASAP.

Question: Is Glipizide known to cause any calcium loss? I have been experiencing pain in my spine and knees every morning since I began taking this medication.

One year ago, my daughter received a single dose of Zometa in hopes of reducing the size of a fast growing tumor (with a possible link to calcium loss). She suffered in bed for a week with excruciating pain to every bone in her body. Now a year later, the time Zometa stays in the system, she is having bone pain again, suggesting a possible withdrawal of Zometa from the system.
