I am glad i found this site, i just wanted to add my little bit of info for now. I have been taking Two pills a day at 800mg of bactrim for a total of 8 days so far. Because i HATE antibiotics and try my hardest to let me body work out infections and such i avoided going to the doctor for tonsillitis( i used to get it a TON when i was growing up) and noticed i had pus covered "zits" that were very HOT and raised which i researched and thought were a staph infection after reading about them online. So i ended up at the doctor, being scolded for not spending my money on their BS antibiotics.... and still ended up with a prescription. Which i had no bad reaction to until last night when i noticed my skin was hot and hives on my elbows. I put some antibiotic ointment on (thought it was bug bites from camping) and went to bed. Today my skin is still hot, i can see the start of a rash on my neck and i feel it everywhere on my arms and neck/chest. So far it has not been too bad but i think it may also have to do with the fact that i have been eating yogurt like crazy! I chose to eat activa and another similar brand that are supposed to be helpful for your digestion but not only that i was more concerned with not getting a yeast infection which i have found to be common when taking antibiotics. So I am not sure if the cultures in the yogurt are what are helping me so much but it's just a suggestion. hopefully my side affects won't get worse and as soon as 14 days is up I'm back to avoiding antibiotics all together again!

Hello all, and may I begin by saying how horrible all of this must have been for everyone of you. I personally have only had side effects that were undesirable after the removal of my first IUD. I had gotten P.I.D. on a camping trip when my Mirena was about three years old. The MD had me on antibiotics for approximately a month, and still the infection returned, so I opted to simply have it out. My period returned in less than two weeks, the heaviest most ragingly painful period I can ever remember having. This resolved by itself over the next month. However for the first time ever, I began experiencing unbelievably bad PMS. Like, PMS with fangs and hand grenades. I had never had such drastic symptoms. This continued every month despite taking YAZ,(approved for PMDD) until I got pregnant again nearly a year after removal of the Mirena. Of course the symptoms went away during pregnancy, no cycle and all. After the baby was born I went for another Mirena and am having no problems, just as before. In fact, this is the only B.C. that I have ever used that does not affect my moods, feelings, sex drive, or weight. I Have no periods, and virtually no cycle as a result, so all things hormonal are drastically decreased. I am writing this to reassure you all that this was the last method of B.C. that I tried over a fifteen year period, and had the LEAST bothersome side effects. The truth is it all will have side effects, and some things don't work for everyone. Don't give up, and try not to decide it's the devil, your body changes completely after every pregnancy, and simply from one life stage to the next. Good luck on your next method, and I hope you all feel better!

I am 66 yrs and have been on Advair 150 for several years. I have experienced leg camping and some PVC's but a year ago I had routine blood work and it was so abnormal that the doctor's have checked me for every kind of cancer you can think of and every thing is ok, however, I am still under doctor's care for this. Recently I thought it might be the advair and wonder if any one else has had the problem

I've been taking Levaquin for about 3 weeks. Last week, suddenly, every joint in my body started aching. I mean from my neck, hands, hips, knees, ankles, feet, everything. For the past week, when I wake up, I can't even make a fist without experiencing excruciating pain. I've always been very active, running, basketball, soccer, skiing, you name it, so this is scaring the heck out of me. I'm 47 years old, and up until a week ago, I was hiking with my family, running everyday with my dog. Now I feel like I'm 100 years old. It hurts to walk, stand up, etc! I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow! I'm ticked about this!

please help!!!
I have been on Yasmine for almost nine months, I am 22 yrs old and had my first anxiety attack two months after taking it. I was a normal, out going, FUN person and then all of a sudden I changed. I didn't know the cause until last week when I found this web site. My doctor put me on Lexapro three weeks ago for the anxiety and I still haven't felt better. I did have a really rough year, with the death of my bestfriend who was also my cousin, and I had some major family issue's with addiction. I figured my symptoms were do to a tough year. In finding this web site I realize there are others out there with the same problems. I would like to know if there are others out there with stomach trouble. My doctor told me I have IBS, which is a common problem in women but my anxiety seems to be causing it. With the anxiety comes the stomach aches. I worry about not getting to the restroom. I cause the stomach aches because of my anxiety and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. Proir to taking yasmin I would go camping, out to dinner and to any social function without a worry. Now it's hard for me to leave the house.
I need to find a new B/C, I have been off Yasmin for 3 days. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know.
Thank you!!!

I have had both the Imitrex pill and injection . The shot seemed to work alot better with the migraine pain and less for my nausea. The E.R. Doctor gave me two of the Imitrex pills for future Migraines. About 3 months went by and it hit me while taking my husbands 87 year old grandmother and my 3 yeat old son camping. I felt the shooting pain and blurred vision in my right eye and luckily had my pill to try. This was the first time I had tried the pill and was not even prepared for the what was about to happen. After 15 min. of the taking the pill I felt so hot like someone had just shot boiling water in my veins. There was no way I could have did anything the pain, nausea, and numbness were much more for me to handle. My husband had to come had stay with us and in one hour my migraine was tolerable, but the imitrex still left me very uncomfortable.
